Mine has the basic brass mods and wheels, servo and recently a new larger 050 66t motor. With the added weight it really needed that new motor. I also have the scx24 gladiator. They both have their advantage’s. Bronco being shorter than gladiator. Mine responded well to brass mods and wheel and tires. Looking forward to your build
I think you’re totally 💯 correct regarding a motor/system upgrade following the added weight. I’m debating between brushed and brushless for this one. Did you replace the motor mount plate on yours at the same time with the larger motor?
@@SonoranScaleStudios Yes I did.My motor from little guy racing parts came with a motor plate. The injora motor on Amazon does also. The larger motor needs and the short motor does not.
I’ve have had both out recently with the new motor upgrade and it’s much better than those smaller 030 size motors. They were $8 each. When your tires first hit that obstacle it takes much less throttle input to get it moving over that obstacle. You’ll appreciate the mod.
I had a red Scx24 Bronco just like yours, but I sold it because it didnt perform very good even with upgrades, although it looks fantastic.👌 I put that money into modding my Scx24 Gladiator instead witch I think is more capable. Just my personal opinion, I am sure you will make your Bronco a well performing rig🙂👍 looking forward to follow your upgrade series on this.
Bet your Gladiator performs really well, it seems to be the best at receiving and capitalizing on mods. As for the Bronco, you’re right, it’s going to be a challenge to get it to perform but we’re surely going to try!
I love the versatility of the scx24 great little Rc !!
So good isn’t it!?!? Any of them are just great little packages
