I love frogging, but tend use cheaper model frogs here in So. Flo since we have Bullseye Sneakheads in the mix. I may pick some up for tame areas slightly north.
The Expride 7'3XH is arguably the best frog rod on the market today,.a close second is the GLoomis IMX 844C Frog, IMHO. Honorable mention is the Bobby Barrack Frog Rod. Awesome work guys 🐸
Expride, for the money, is great! Loomis has never made a good frog rod - and I’m a huge Loomis fan. But they’re lost at frog rods.
@@thehookuptackle_usa Well I think alot of it depends on what makes a good frog rod. For example, Dean Rojas uses a 7' MHXF rod while Bobby Barrack uses a 7'9 XHF. I think you guys out there don't have the calibre of bass we do in Georgia and Florida to understand what makes a good frog rod.

I had trouble learning to walk a frog until I got the right frog- and I'm saying the right frog for learning to walk, not necessarily the right frog to catch bass on. It's called the Duckett Sneaky EVO and it's huge for a frog and has only one tail- really made to look more like a rat. This thing walks super easy- another one that really helped me was the Strike King Pad Perch, also walks super easy. Both of them walk sort of like a top water plug mixed with a frog, they're way easier to walk than most other frogs. And once I learned to walk them it was super easy to walk everything else. You have to get more subtle with certain frogs, the smaller ones usually- but it's the same motion. Once you do it you'll wonder why you had so much trouble with it- it feels so easy and natural. I really think getting the right frogs to learn on makes a big difference though- it did for me anyway. Anything skinny and long seems to walk more easily- the shorter, smaller ones are tough.

I’ve been trying to figure out how to walk a frog, thanks for the tips.
I like what you doing, the only caveat I would insert is that you don't need a high end sensitive rod for froggin'. I use a dobyns 7'3 heavy fury for bigger frogs and a dobyns champion xp 7' mh for small frogs. 70 samurai and 40 samurai braid respectively. Otherwise I'm down.
Sensitivity is definitely not important. Ease of walk, power, and comfort are important 👍

It can work! It’s got the power. But it doesn’t have much tip to it, so it’s not going to walk the frog quite as easy as the Poker.

Ok. Love you guys!! BUT! I gotta disagree. Do Cali frogs really WALK? If I'm gonna walk something, it's a Sammy or a Spook type. I'm in New York. Frogs "chug" a helluva lot more than they "walk". They push and move forward. Keep the vids comin'! Love 'em!
Can’t walk a Sammy or spook in heavy cover 👍. Frogs aren’t necessarily imitating actual frogs. Sometimes they are! But sometimes they’re imitating Shad, bluegills, etc, so walking is critical.

Why do right handed fisherman reel bait casters with there right hand? Is that how you reel a spinning reel? Why switch hands every time after a cast do like I do and use a left hand retrieve bait caster it just seems to make sense.

I noticed that you didn’t put any of the Deps frogs in your top 5 video.
I didn’t, but I’ve been trying to use things that I don’t love or haven’t had success on in the past, just to stay on top of everything. I’ve really been digging the buster K lately!
