    Nah girl, don't cut off the bulb at the end, that's part of the locking process. It just means your ends are locking up.

    Girl, your locs are thriving!! Looks like you have a head packed with lovely curls and ringlets. Beautiful!! Can't wait to see how they evolve over time! Just to let you know I am 11-1/2 months in and I've just started retwisting all of my edges and I continue interlocking the rest of my head. Retwisting my edges help me to maintain neatness at the perimeters while using a gentle hand to protect those delicate strands. So far it's working for me.

      @@KekeJ Hmm I really haven't tested the longevity..I know after a week it still looked good. But then I started to spray with water because I'm not locked yet and I saw a vid that said wetting my hair helps it loc quicker.

    Looking good, those bulbs on the end are suppose to help with sealing your loc ends...Most say don't cut them ( as long as they are not hanging on by a string) just leave them alone,

    • @KekeJ

      Ok thanks! One of them was by a string so I did cut that one but I’ll leave the others alone

    I'm sure you've heard it a thousand times your smile is so contagious!!! Ahh I really enjoyed your flash back to the Samsung Galaxy S5 and the table lamp. LOL Yes Girl! You have got to start somewhere! So many people feel like you have to have it all before you can start on You Tube or any project for that matter. Its easy to procrastinate and say, well I'll start once I get a better this or that, when getting started is really the key. So thank you for sharing that. Love, love, love your hair! Q AND A: ..........I'm 1 month in. I have some pretty soft hair, and I'm guessing if I had to type it, it would be 3B. Anywhooo I'm experiencing a lot of unraveling of my two strand twists. Normally just the ends, it doesn't unravel all the way up to the root or anything. Did you have this issue? and what do you think would be better, keep re-twisting the ends, or just let them do their thing? Thanx!

    Your interloc'd hair shouldn't feel hard at all. try the 3 point rotation, start at the bottom end off at the top. (up, left,down or up,right,down). Having type 4 hair we tend to need more hold on the hair so it doesn't swell/bunch due to our hair being coily and having shrinkage. Also the ball on your hair is just your ends locing/closing, it helps your hair fully loc from root to tip. Usually yhe dont cut them unless its hanging by a thread lol or if you want to keep your ends open/curly. Your hair looks so full, crazy to see how it looks at 1 year

    • @KekeJ
      @KekeJ  3 роки тому

      Thank you so much for this information! I’m going to definitely try out that rotation. And I didn’t have to cut one bulb because it was literally hanging by a thread, I was like you gotta go lol. I’m excited for the year mark! Definitely will be showing y’all how she lookin!

    What you can do about the fat ends is maybe braid your hair at night for example in order to train your locks and also braid and band when you wash. I heard it helps a lot.

    We're on the same timeline. I'm 9 months this week! I started out interlocking, but now I retwist. It seemed like interlocking was causing a lot of stress. I'm finally at the stage where I'm noticing length (especially after a retwist) But truth be told, I like my hair best when I need a retwist because that's when I have the most volume.
