Splitboard Skills Episode 8: Firm Skinning with out split crampons

- With some mid winter conditions changes I spent a day focused on enjoying sunny skies and embracing the current conditions. It would be easy to find other things to do but as you can see building all conditions skills has its rewards.
After a good dose of rain the snow became firm and runneled. While still edgeable and somewhat soft in the low January sun I found myself adapting to condiotons. The two techniques I used did not use ski crampons even though I had them with me. In this video I share a couple snow conditions specific skinning techniques.
Hope this helps you enjoy all conditions riding! Remember to check the avalanche forecast daily, stay fit stay flexible!
A quick shout out to Michael @ Cripple Creek B.C. in Seattle Washington for keeping me in fresh boots and cozy liners.

Great vid. Good time to explore with the current conditions.
It was for sure. As always things are now different but good think the snow is soft again.
Awesome video. Learned today about going thru terrain with runnels. Was a interesting experience for my first time
