    What's some gear you'd recommend?

Avy shovel, probe, beacon, AIARE1, K2 Aspect boots for crampons and overall hikeability. I'm super impressed with these. Maybe one of the new airbag vests

Just got back into snowboarding after being diagnosed with M.S. Timberline 45 mins away and looking into split boarding next spring. Thank you for the Tips!

Yes. Insta360x3 are a must. I got one and I love it! The batteries only last me 3/4 of a day snowboarding. I’d would suggest getting a backup, yes it last most of the day but there’s been times it ran low right in the middle of a run Suck.

You bet! Timberline is where I basically learned how to split...same with Ski Bowl and Tom Dick and Harry Mountain. Crush that MS.

What size selfie pole do you like for your insta360? All my footage from my last trip is too tight. I think my pole was too short; though it's possible I didn't have it fully extended.

I use the invisible one from Insta 360 and extend it nearly all the way out: amzn.to/4aJEPKK

@@ChadLubinski that's the one I have. I must have been being lazy and keeping it shorter than I realized. Thanks!

Would go with the mammut mips helmet over the pretzel if you have the extra bones tbh

Those Jones boots are sooooooo heavy and maybe the only uncomfortable snowboard boots I’ve ever had. Love the crampon idea, but rocking universal crampons isn’t that bad, it maybe just takes a little more care when putting them on

Hard disagree. Universal crampons are not sufficient for any type of high-angle terrain.

Yeah, I agree. Very weird fit on those boots, and the zip up gaiter is totally unnecessary. Just another point of failure waiting to happen.
