Man I modeled my game from jike it worked for me I feel like I'm in best shape I could ever be great style and he's good at everything forehand backhand looping counterlooping and he's got the best touch out of offensive players he's good at blocking as well. The GOAT

A few things:
1. Jike isn't the GOAT. He is up there for sure, but not on top. There are much better players that have held their #1 position for longer than him. However, I do not want to get in this discussion as people have their own opinion, and I can understand and appreciate your intentions where your opinion of him as the GOAT comes from.
2. You should NOT model your game after any 1 player. They are primier athletes who have trained their whole lives for their mement in the sun (I should know..) What you should try to do is find aspects of their game that you like/think would be beneficial to your own game, and use those. For example, I like RSM's game a lot, but I am not modelling myself after his style, instead, I am taking a few aspects, like footwork, 3rd ball attack, etc... to guide my progress. I take tactics from Ma Lin, consistency of JSH etc... Your game should be your own as a whole. It can definitely have parts directly mirrored from other players, but as a whole, it should be uniquely yours.
However, if you find that your strokes/movement/tactics match pretty closely with ZJ, then it is good to look up to him and strive for his consistency.
Also, I know the following is not related to anything, but I tell everyone who plays TT this: work on your back. It is the most important part of your body to get the power transferred from your legs to the ball...

@@333megaladon great comment !! My comment was in a hurry , since your a student of the game . I said the goat in a hurry while it takes weeks of just conversation which I'll never wanna argue about . We can never know waldner is better or ma long coz they didn't play each other in their Prime .
What I like about zjk is he's an offensive player he's got all the tools backhand was the best at a time great forehand technique serve control feeling blocking
That's why I like him . I'm a student of the game I play league in my country before I was thinking about modeling my game after jike i was doing the things on my own at that time i wasn't a fan of jike or other players i was a a fan of the game specially Chinese players and timo boll and waldner I've done the no look block (waldner) i copied from all of them that worked obviously not defensive stuff I'm offensive. But as I got better my friend and I thought jike's game and mine were close the footwork backhand flick nearly all . And I don't believe in GOAT i watch basketball and soccer too some say Michael Jordan or lebron james is goat i say it for fun or when i say it i mean I'm a fan of him .

@@Abdulbasit-alshafi3i Exactly... I never thought about pitting people against their prime. I don't want to define the prime as them being #1, but instead of how their game is evolving... For example, Boll was at his prime when he was #2 (after Wang Liqin). Even though he was #1 for a time, he wasn't at his prime because he didn't have good competition (not saying Ma Lin wasn't there, but him and Ma Lin didn't have that much of a rivalry).
I do not want to argue about who the GOAT is, because people have different answers for different reasons... Times change, the game changes.
But I wanted to hear about the T2 format and the colored rubbers... What do you think about them? I appreciate that ITTF wants to build a larger community, but I don't think cheap tricks like this will help them. I don't like the T2 format, or even the colored rubbers, but I have to see when it will be introduced, and how I feel about it then. If I like it, I will acknowledge it, if I don't I will voice my opinions then...

@@333megaladon honestly i don't mind the T2 format as long as it's only one tournament but I hope the Olympics and wttc won't be played that way .
I don't want the games to end fast I want them to last as much as a soccer⚽game i hate that fast 5 but actually it makes every point more valuable like no deuce when 10-10 .
And the colored rubbers are just a look it won't change the performance or bring back that twiddling trick coz it can't be the same color on fh and bh .
And players will know their opponents rubbers of course . The black/read is perfect and grown on me but I'm always ready for a change unless it's bad like the 40+ mm plastic ball which I've also adapted and it's very normal now . So who knows those changes aren't too bad , but the game is cool now it's not broke ( if it ain't broke don't fix it) .
I wanna hear ur opinion on the plastic ball and chopping like (joo sae hyuk and others) I personally think it's a disadvantage for the defensive style since they can't generate as much backspin as the 40 mm celluloid and the new ball is faster also 2 big disadvantages for defensive chopping style . Am I right??!

The atmosphere is so intense throughout the match, it doesn't seem like a exhibition match to me, and Zhang Jike's rubbers are way thinner than Hou's, he probably came unprepared but still won the match.

Wow the tension... It is not like an exhibition game. I wonder if it is their coach Liu Guoliang asking them to compete for an opportunity to play real games (as they are not in their best status/age). He had done that before, making the tryouts for major events like WTTC to be commercial games nation-wide.

If you were up to date on ITTF social media. It clearly said they would post this match. It is more likely they have gained permission to use this footage whereas the other channels who posted this match did not request permission. So relax.
