Good to see Joey on here! I can’t seem to see his channel anymore on UA-cam! Miss his videos. Hopefully he’s okay!
You are both so much more brave than I could ever be. Your beautiful videos let me see places that I will never be able to explore. Thank you, Catherine and thanks also to your friend.😊
Can't wait for more videos. 🥰
Seeing bridges, picnic tables etc on these trails always reminds me of how much trail maintainers contribute to these wonderful views you give us.
So thanks trail crews for all you do! 👍👍
Absolutely!
I believe you can thank the Canadian government for that 😉
@@Starfish2145 I wasn't limiting my thanks to any particular nation, since trail crews of all nationalities exist and deserve thanks.
Hey Cat, there just aren't enough words and everyone else has said it all. Having Joey with you and doing some narrative was great. So wonderful. Thanks to you both for taking us places we will never be able to go to. God's blessings to you both.
Those Canadians are so nice. They even give you picnic tables in the wilderness 😂
My wife has severe osteoporosis and I can not leave her for days at a time. I've been a backpacker all of my life in Boy Scouts and became an Eagle Scout. I am 73 and LONG to go "Into the woods" as John Muir but unfortunately I can not. BUT through you and Joey I can imagine what it would be like going where you go. I MISS IT SO! So thank you both so much for taking me to the place I can not go just now. Only God knows just how much I miss being in the High Sierras. I've done Mt Whitney 3 times and oh so many trails there from Lone Pine to Mammoth and beyond. I do have the memories but you will never know just how much I appreciate sharing where you guys go.....It does my heart good!
The Canadian Rockies have always put me in AWE… Extremely beautiful doesn’t even feel right.
Glad to see Joey is still alive and kickin’. Sure miss his backpacking vids.
Thank God for sunshine Thursdays! Nice to see picnic tables. A table always makes a campsite more livable. Rock on! 😎
I don’t usually comment, but this I really enjoyed the narration the scenery all very nice thanks for sharing. Can’t wait for more of this 👍🏾
Mountains and lake were beautiful. Back in your element 😊.
Thank you Ken!
That was a great trick, heating water for a hand warmer, and wow, those mountains!!
I am so relieved that you did not hike alone. 😮
So Amazing Catherine!🤍And So Beautiful!'🕊️Thank you!🌦️
Ive noticed over the years now that Joey hikes like my wife where I call him go go joey and Cat and I hike alike, we take our time look at the scenery and wildlife, I may or may not see my wife again maybe until the campsite, however if she should see a bear she'd be back by my side post haste. Great video guys keep up the good work!!
We need a "HIKING MAN" annual gathering , to out rival the 'burning man' event !!!!
Oh , the stories that can be told !!!!
I hope you can work on this idea !!!!
Catherine, this is the first time I cried watching your video. I could see you were cold and struggling and I was rooting for you. You are such a brave woman and an inspiration. God bless you❤️. So, glad Joey was with you.
I'm sitting here at my desk watching your video and dreaming of a trip to the mountain west. Thanks for sharing your adventures!! Cheers from Arkansas!!
WOW what a backdrop. what a chose cold and no mosquitoes, or mosquitoes and cold, me rather be cold. thank you ALL stay safe
That was just unreal. How great is our God!! Missed ya Cat, but worth pushing the patience button for 😊
Man, can't wait for more!! Rest up & enjoy every moment.
It’s so true that weather is part of the adventure. You feel just miserable until you don’t. I’m so glad for you that the weather cleared and you were able to enjoy yourselves. And we’re beneficiaries, as we get to see the videos you and Joey each make. 😁👏👏 Hoorah!!
Hey Catherine and Joey.Awesome job.Thanks😘💗🌲
All that rain. All that lovely greenery. It's just lovely.
Thank you so much for your wilderness trek and this footage. I’ve only been able to car camp in the Canadian Rockies. And I cried because the backcountry there had such a strong call to me. Sorry it was so wet and cold but kudos to you for pulling it off. I like how you and Joey collaborate on footage.
I did back country, very worth the effort.
Stunning views! Thank you Kat
Wow, just, wow! That was amazing! Girl, you are a warrior! I love the mixed combination of you and Joey filming and narrating this. I love his channel; your mixed video was perfect. He's a warrior and he's definitely challenged you on some of these trips. It was good to see him look after you with the hot nalgene. A little bit of body heat definitely was needed after that harrowing day!
Thank you 🙏
Hello.
Mam ur all videos is best..
A big welcome to Canada Catherine hope your stay is enjoyable one 👍👍🚐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐🌹🌹
Beautiful video. Thanks for sharing it with us. I did that hike in 1977. Never forgot it and always wanted to go back. Magical place. Jasper has so many
Little conveniences I love: bear lockers and picnic tables
What’s the old saying? It’s not an adventure unless someone is uncomfortable. 😁 that said clearly you all handled the rainy and cold weather conditions with style, thanks for taking us along to get a peek into your incredible trip.
Very beautiful footage! Oh my, I don't know how you do it. That rain soaked feeling in the cold is difficult. Gorgeous country, I am surprised at how many mosquitos Canada has. Thanks Catherine!❤
So spectacular. Sometimes words can’t describe your surroundings. So fortunate to have experienced adventures and to Joey for companionship. Thank you for sharing
Worth the wait! I could see several shots that will make beautiful prints to sell. And now, there's bigger, better videos to come? Whooo Hooo!!!
I love the sound of rain on my tent......as long as it doesn't last too long!
Hi, Cat! It's been a minute. I never unsub'd or anything, I guess just ebb and flow. I loved this. These are my favorite things, you going on a hike or trip. Joey seems like a great guy. I remember him from other vids. Gonna head over to your other videos. Looking fit lady. @Catherine Gregory
Day 3 at the lake...WOW. Rewards await those who persist in the rain the day before. Gorgeous vistas.
So much beauty!! I look forward to your videos every week! Thank you to you and Joey for sharing your backpacking trips!!
With out 108+ degrees F here in Tucson for the past 2 weeks, that rain, snow, cools temps and high elevations looks very refreshing.
Makes Big Sky look like a walk in the park. Glad you never needed the bear spray
Wow, what an adventurous journey through Jasper National Park! The rain, snow, and mosquitos added an extra layer of challenge, but the stunning Canadian Rockies made it all worth it. Amazing video, thanks for sharing your experience! 🏔🌧❄🦟
This was gorgeous to watch as an armchair traveler. It looked so cold. Stunning scenery snd beautiful campsites!
Beautiful trip, but I’m glad I got to watch you slogging through rain rather than having to do it myself 🙄 I’m really impressed by the quality of the trails and campgrounds!
Wow, nature threw a lot at you guys on this trip! The wilderness can be unforgiving, but you and Joey did the right things to get through, especially that long, wet, cold stretch.
OH SO GOOD Thant Joey could be with you!! He's a great guy!
Hello 👋 Catherine, thank you for sharing another award winning video. You always do an amazing job of filming. Please keep your videos coming along. Stay safe out there. 🤗 👋
That was truly an amazing landscape. Thank you for the video. Stay well and be safe.
Thanks, Cat, for taking is along. It was beautiful.
Breathtaking Canada 🇨🇦. Great trip Cat & Joey! Rain, snow mixed with a little sunshine. 😊You did have it all. Until next video be safe! 🙋🏼♀️👍🏻😮❤
Great hike. The mountains were beautiful with the snow on them. That was quite an adventure. I enjoyed every minute of it.
Absolutely breathtaking ❤🇨🇦💦🏔️🏕️
Wow…that 2nd day looked brutal…but you did it and it was a real adventure!
Absolutely breathtaking. I really enjoy backpacking vicariously through you and your camera. Y’all be safe, be blessed.😃💜🙏
A bathroom with a view, funny! Great video Cat. 🤠
Yes it's true a bathroom up in the back country!😂 Several years ago when I was there, they had plywood outdoor toilets and the porcupines were eating the plywood for the wood glue!! Walls inside and parts of the door were missing 😂
😂😂 Thank you!
Good to see you hiking again with Joey. My two favorite hikers.
Stunning mountain scenery! Lots and lots of greenery too, so very nice to see. Very nice you had your friend Joey with you Cat! That was a big adventure challenge with the elements. 😊❤
Thank you for this video! You are definitely a strong woman! I love when you and Joey are together!
We love your videos! The music is wonderful and not loud, other channels have their music WAY too loud. And you choice of music is so relaxing and peaceful. We have started watching your videos in the morning with our coffee instead of the news. We just found your channel a while back so we're backing up and watching all the others. The videos of the surrounding areas you hike, walk and camp in are beautiful. And we love the variety of your channel, some hiking, some cooking, some RV related items never a dull moment. And as others have said you are showing us areas we will never go ourselves. Thanks
What gorgeous scenery! Thank you for sharing, and great job pushing through the challenging weather! As they say, backpackers have to "embrace the suck." It's all part of the adventure and makes the shining moments all the more glorious!
This is why my parents used to call Jasper and Banff "Previews of Heaven On Earth". Soeey you hit the rainy season. The mosquitoes are good training for Alaska... May Almighty God continue to Bless, Guard, Guide, and Protect you in your adventures! 73
Thank you John! 🙏
Ohhhhh you are so prepared Catherine! You’ve got the right Gear for a soggy hike :-) So lovely and Green. With the Earth drying up, I always welcome the rain. And what a fantastic clear morning to wake up to. I’ve never seen bathrooms like that before. Hihi. All lined up. Thank you as always!
This was so relaxing to watch. Cathy did it again, another super scenic vlog.
Wow very stunning. I’m glad that you have Joey with you. Thanks for sharing the wonderful pictures. You go girl.
Goosebumps (wild animal encounters) breathe taking scenery...thanks for sharing.Glad you both are ok...minus 1,000,000 bug bites
A dream of a lifetime come through.Thanks a lot for it!😀👍👍
That adventure was worth the wait!!
Oh my God, you are a brave woman, walking through those beautiful but dangerous forests is not done by everyone, I admire you, it was exciting and at the same time stressful to see you in that climate and difficult place, I look forward to the next adventure. thank you.🤗🙋🏾♀️
Jasper is so beautiful and a wonderful advocate❤
So Moving!! STUNNING!! Thanks
Love the scenery and love the way your hair became curly on your trip! It looks really pretty.
Thank you 🙏
This one reminded me of going on a canoe trip from Ely Minnesota up into the Canadian wilderness. That was back in 1972, i went with the Explorer Post i joined after theBoy Scouts. Portaging from lake to lake about 100 miles or so into Canada. It was during August so we avoided the cold weather but the mosquitoes and biting flies were quite prevalent. It was an experience ill never forget. Too old to even think about doing something like that now. I really enjoy your videos so that i can go places in the outdoors without getting out of my easy chair. Thank You for all your hard work. Keep posting and I'll keep watching. Your Friend Mark in Alabama. 🙏👍😎
Wow! The scenery was surreal - beauty beyond comprehension.
So nice to see you both and view your craft on this collaboration. It is such a joy witnessing your craft as story tellers/videographers/photographers of the world of awe and wonder.
Be well - lori lee
Remember Catherine about 2yers ago I told you about the Canadian rockies. They are on another level.
You're back...I'm thrilled and so anxious for this camping/ hike, and the scenery!!!
OMG! Absolutely spectacular. I can't wait to see more.
Thanks for sharing an excellent video of your backpacking adventure under challenging conditions for a summer hike. The park and scenery is amazing!
Beautiful and more. Having one Nalgene can be a real lifesaver. Worth every gram.
So glorious! Heaven on Earth very very nice place to be!!!!! Thank you for sharing!!!!
I backed out of my driveway yesterday and drove right over fresh bear scat that was not there the night before. We have already had one bear in our neighbourhood this Spring that Conservation officers already caught and relocated. That's life in the beautiful mountains of BC! Great filming of gorgeous Alberta wilderness mountains! Hubby and I are headed to Waterton Lakes Park in 2 weeks...light hiking, and mostly relaxing. Thanks for sharing your adventure in our beautiful country!
One of my most favorites in scenery and the music! Thank you
Hard to beat the Canadian Rockies. From Waterton Lakes to Jasper and beyond. Our friendly neighbors to the north have true majesty and rugged beauty. Can’t wait to visit again.
I hope you know about Mary Schaffer Warren. Read what you can find and walk her trails... Cat, you are no ordinary woman, and you inspire. Thank you.
So scenic, challenging weather, I love the sound of the rain on a tent. ⛺️
The majority of my bucket list items have come from this channel.
Your videos are amazing. I'll never be able to go there, but I can live it through you. Thank you
Well done, Catherine. The Ramparts and Amethyst Lake are like a vision of Paradise. You are one lucky person. Cheers.
Wow, what beauty, Canada 🇨🇦 has. I'm glad you had fun even though you had some bad weather.
Your hike reminded me of a horseback ride into Amethyst lake years ago. Like you, we got the four seasons. Also got some fishing in on the lake with a couple nice rainbow trout for meals later. Ride out was in summer weather. Thank you for bringing back good memories.
Beautiful country even in the rain and snow,
Excellent video in difficult conditions. Glad you survived the low temps. Many thanks for sharing and really looking forward to the next videos from Canadian Rockies.
Spectacular! Looking forward to the next video...happy/safe Hiking.
Just spectacular: both the fantastic scenery and the music. You definitely nailed it.
Wow. Beautiful country!!! Thank you for sharing this gorgeous trip with us.
The Canadian Rockies are just amazing. I’m glad you had a great time. Can’t wait for the next videos.
Jasper is one of my favorite places on Earth - it is beautiful! If you are still up there, consider going to Waterton (after Banff, of course). By the way, have you ever considered carrying and using bear bells? I always use them while in bear country, and the one time I didn't, that was the time I had a run-in with a black bear. Have a great time!
This reminds me of a horse packing trip I did in the Sierras in the 1970s when I was a kid. It was August. It snowed on us the first night. We didn’t have near enough warm clothes. Spent a very cold night in a soaking wet ( not water proof) tent with no floor pads. My sister got the flu. The ride back down the mountain was also terrifying.
What an amazing place ! My ears popped up when I heard Joey's voice . Great hiking partner , guide and cameraman .The beauty is almost unimaginabe❤
Great Adventure Cat,beautiful sights, thank you.
WOW! Absolutely stunning scenery. You do such a great job of capturing the beauty of your hikes. you're a trooper hiking in all the rain and mosquitoes. Pat was freaking out watching you gross the bridges. lol. Thank you so much for taking us along with you on another epic adventure. Canada really has a lot to offer. Be safe!!❤
Thank you very much Todd! I am safe and sound. :) Hope you two are well!
Wow, so much rain! Lovely though!
You are such a peaceful soul 🤍
I believe this trip must include the most spectacular video you have ever taken. Your dedication and determination to do this hike are recognized! Even at a young age without my issues I may not have made it. I wonder if you realize how strong you really are? Thank you for what you do.
Wow Cat!! How exhilarating, exciting and so beautiful. I'm paused on the video with you on the picnic table with that mountain behind you. What amazing scenery.
Aww, sad you had cold, rain and snow but it was lucky it cleared up for some great shots of the mountains. thanks for the video!!
