Very helpful review, Andy!! Especially the neutral pronation/stability aspect of Noosa Tri... I am not pronating too bad... but i got flat feet and it is always on my mind! I once sought your opinion in the comments of another youtube video by you about this shoe.. and you did tell me the same that this shoe lends to overpronation... and so i decided not to buy Noosa Tri. Instead i bought Gt 2000 13 which is probably the best stability shoe on the market IMO, and i think it has got some good pace too! And it is working well for me.. happy with the purchase!
i saw a you tube short from a Scottish Marathoner @ryanthomson - 2:18 Martahon ! he runs with a rotation of 3 shoes - asics gt 2000 - uses for everyhing anything slower than 6 min miling used for 10 years max mileage 130 miles a week; adidas boston uses for speed between 5;40 and 6:00 min miles - he calls these a bonus shoe for steady runs; a luxury - but not really necessary and the adidias adios Pro 3 anything les than 5:40 min miles. Moral of the story - an unsexy shoe likes ASICS GT 2000 keeps you safe doing 130 miles a week running around 6 minute miles! You have good choice
Literally hit a pair of these after your marathon shoe review vid, give black ones with green laces love them. Although I have IT band injury for 6 weeks out (out of Abingdon marathon 😢) and hadn’t realised these were neutral! I over pronate a lot on one side
Absolutely love the Tri Noosa range. Have been using them for years as a casual trainer because the stiffness works well with my stiff big toes. You can often get the previous year's range for around £50, which is a nice bonus.
Andy, the correlation between shoes that I like and shoes that show up on your channel is almost uncanny. 😄I will definitively check in here next time I'm in the market. I’ve been on a long search for a replacement for the sadly discontinued Asics Gel-Ds Trainer as my “fast run” shoe, and it boiled down to a choice between Hyperion 2 and Noosa Tri 16. I ended up going with the Noosa as the Hyperion was a bit narrow for me.
I wore holes in the back at the heel collar/pocket on my NB V1, and both pairs of the NB V3. No impact, just happens with ASICS. But I also have ZERO lockdown or heel lift issues with ASICS.
Doesn't matter what size of feet you are but more the type of runner you are, weight, paces you might be using the shoe at and footstrike. I purchased the Noosa 16 after watching your early review on it and they have become my choice workout shoe 🙂 Wearing the Brooks Hyperion Max 2 for some workouts but mainly as an everyday cruiser or tempo day shoe (again I think this was based on your likes and another UA-camr whose opinion I respect on that one). I also remember telling you to try the Endorphin Elite and out as a race shoe last year which you did and were wearing as your top pick for a while until it was past it's best. I am only a Size 7.5 or 8 in running shoes but we do clearly seem to like similar shoes, even though you are considerably taller and quicker than me too.
Had two Noosa Tri 14 and did 6-700km in both. They are still holding up well, dont use them that much anymore but just bought 16 and absolutely love them. Hoping they will hold up as well as th 14s
Sounds great. I’ve currently got a full ASICS rotation. How does it compare to the Nova4? Not sure where to fit this in. I have Superblast, SB2 + Sky Paris.
They peaked at 14 it seems. The 15 were so strangely cut, that I had to go a full size up…so I passed. Now the 16 I was hearing mostly good things. But not like when the 14’s dropped. Great video!
I’ve been a big fan of the Noosa Tri 14s and recently switched to the Noosa Tri 15s. The tongue on the 15s is very thin and I end up with some lace bite. I like my laces fairly tight but this has been a problem. I’d like to hear your comments on the tongue, thickness and if it’s an issue with any lace bite specifically up to the top of the laces.
I have about 40 miles in my pair but I often reach for the Adizero SL2. That shoe just works so well for me; the balanced cushioning and the heel to toe transitions are so natural.
Feel like the Noosa Tri is the most underrated shoe!! - it can do everything! - the rocker is soo nice to run in. I have 2 pairs of the 14's and I have issues with Hallux Rigidus but this shoe has saved me. The insoles are easy to remove and combine this shoe with some Vasyli Dananberg Orthotics and you're good to go!! Top end I see very little difference between these and carbon or plated shoes.
Does the NOOSA Tri 16 make squeaky noise? I’m debating to get this one but I will mainly use it on treadmill only. I got the Brooks Hyperion 2 already, but I noticed I pronated inward a bit. Would you still recommend this pair over Saucony Ride 17? I have the Superblast as well. Just need another pair to rotate in. Thank you.
@ No, I did not. I waited and I got the Novablast 5, Nike Pegasus Plus, and the Adidas SL2. The Pegasus plus is my favorite for speed run. I will probably grab the Noosa Tri this year since I like ground feel shoes. Let me know how you like it when you test them out.
Hi Andy, have you had any of the neutral/pronation worries you're having with these in the Hyperion Max 2? Have clocked up 100k in the Brooks and feels like I'm having similar issues.
I have the tri 14 UK size 8 and have done 391 miles and they’re hardly worn, absolutely brilliant shoes
Wow, fantastic!
Very helpful review, Andy!!

@@craigtsmith6957 Totally agree!
An unsexy shoe is often the safest shoe to use!

A video about best ‘stable’ ‘support’ for over pronation would be great!

Great minds think alike 😎

Same happened with my novablast 3's
So weird isnt it, why does it happen!

A good description. Like to Andy. A nice weekend for everyone.
Thanks!
Definetely considering to buy a Noosa TRI pair for my next daily trainers! 👍👌
Looks like holes in the heel are a Asics thing, happened in my old Nimbus 24 and Novablast 2, but after 500km
Yeah all of my ASICS get it too!
Sounds great. I’ve currently got a full ASICS rotation. How does it compare to the Nova4? Not sure where to fit this in. I have Superblast, SB2 + Sky Paris.
Love these shoes there a bit of a hidden gem and I’ve really enjoyed running in them :)

Thanks! Half size up people find is fine for these 👍

Can the Noosa be used as an all-rounder? Something that you can do everything in it? Love the review!
Yes absolutely!!
I would like to try those but the colorways are just so silly that I can’t do it. Why can’t they just make a normal looking pair?
They are definitely a whacky colourway!
i reckon they're aesthetic af! i love the whackiness

180 miles, I love them but find them very loud, something about the rubber and how I land
Oh wow thats some big mileage already, brilliant!

I definitely agree 👍 very underrated!
How does Noosa Tri 16's FF Blast+ feel compared to Novablast 3's one? Same softness? Is it suitable for me if I underpronate/supinate?

did u end up with em? im getting mine in a couple days ! keen az

And what about the sl2? Compared to tri and the peg..
Love your reviews! 👌
Thanks! I’ll do that comparison soon 👊
@@TheFODRunner thanks 👍
How is this one for Half Marathon? Would it still be comfortable ?
I’ve run a long run in them and they were great…. Well over 13 miles 👍
It sure looks nice. 👀
It is!

Not yet... but then I have only done one run in them, I will report back on the channel or the extra channel when I have done more!
They have been excellent, Iuse them in tempo runs. 18,19km atm
Awesome!
