  • Before he fought for UFC championship belts, before Conor McGregor and Khabib Nurmagomedov, Dustin Poirier was a bloodthirsty savage fighting in the cruel streets of Louisiana. Little did he know, the violence within him would soon pave the way to a brighter future.

If you genuinely created this solo, coming from a videographer and editor by profession, I am impressed, you didn't just throw this together, you created a beginning, multiple twists in the middle and a beautiful end. Produced, directed, filmed and edited by yourself, massively impress. Couldn't fault you, I have severe adhd and still watched the whole thing. Infact I even paused it when leaving the room. Puts on great fights, has killer instinct, strong technical skills, loves to fight, respectful, well spoken, good family man, has had immortal fights, great relationship with wife, has a non fighting related business to ensure he can take care of his family when the fighting ends, has come back from losses, has no weird controversies or disgusting behaviors, and seems to be very consistent in his character no matter where he is. I remember the buildup of the first Conor vs Poirier and the subsequent unrivaled rise over the next few years of Conor McGregor, and I always took Conor's side (at least until that boxing match and the Conor vs Khabib fight). His explosive persona and confidence in and outside of the ring from 2013-2016 was absolutely incredible. And now I'm watching this and I feel almost disgusted with myself for not giving fighters like Poirier the respect they truly deserve because (at the time) they were essentially promoted by the UFC and the MMA media as 'just another opponent' for McGregor. I don't mean to slander the UFC or the MMA media at all, I'm moreso disappointed in myself at that time for being such a simp for only following the hype.

Someone show this to Dustin. He would definitely love to see this. It is, by far, the best work that covers his career.

Exceptional content! This was EXTREMELY well done. Doesn't hurt that the Diamond is one of my favorite public figures in the world but this was super polished, enthralling despite the fact that I've seen all these fights (I was at the Korean Zombie fight), and emotionally enriching. Kinda wanna go train with Tim Credeur now. Excellent job Mr. Gavia!

Mad respect to this man, and to the documentary maker. There is a HUGE LESSON in this, I say it all the time, we have life too easy these days, and we r slaves to a system. I think we could all learn something from this. I like seeing a positive side to the madness.
