Good detailed analysis. There a some things to consider here which will massively affect the small sample size. Firstly in Brazil Lawson got taken out by Piastri. No big deal right? Well that penalty that Piastri got caused Lawson to lose time on Yuki and gave Yuki an extra position and 2 more points. That alone will effect your modeling a fair amount from 6 races to compare. Also in AD Lawson got a screwed over by his pit crew. When he pitted he was either 6th or 7th and well ahead of Yuki. So had those two things not happened the case for Lawson to RB would be substantially stronger. Problem with the stats, is it fails to recognise some of the bonkers wheel to wheel Lawson did. Like in Brazil he over took Lewis Hamilton. Then he held him of until the end of the race. I didn’t see Yuki do anything like that in the last 6 races vs Lawson. If fact I don’t recall seeing Yuki over take anyone at all. He’s fast sure. But Lawson is far more dominant in overtaking and defending.
That was a great breakdown and pretty fair. Car damage is important
