- We have been told to visit Chinatown in Binondo since the day we arrived in The Philippines, and now we have finally had the chance! We got a ferry down the Pasig river directly to what we have heard is the oldest Chinatown in the world.

Fun adventures today🌞. Lots of choices on gourmet Filipino & Chinese fusion dishes and snacks 👍🇵🇭
When Filipinos go to Chinatown for good food, we go to old restaurants that don't look new or fancy. It's mostly in old buildings but had built a reputation for serving authentic Chinese cuisine. King Chef Restaurant inside Lucky Chinatown Mall, on the 2nd floor, is one of the few famous modern restaurants offering savory Chinese food. If you were looking for Filipino food, Chinatown was the wrong place to be looking for it.
My favorites there are Masuki, Tasty Dumplings, Estero de Binondo, Ying Ying, Wai Ying
Binondo is the real deal! It's gritty, intense and it's packed to the gills. I love it!
Awesome Guys , really enjoyed this, you both stay safe and keep up the good work ❤️ Jimbo Bonnie Pissing Down With Rain Scotland 🤣❤️
Beautiful couple❤
On Carvajal St, there is a Fresh Lumpia store called New Po Heng. Always ask the locals and they will help you. The other restaurants on that side is something I have mentioned too a while ago.
You can comeback there and start the crawl
Binondo doesn't have too many streetfood stalls. What it has are food stores and restaurants. For instance, that place with a long line outside is right beside a diner that serves good Chinese food.
Hello Dion n Louie 😘 I guess you don’t watch any vloggers who have been to Chinatown. I see them buy the fresh lumpia and they really enjoyed it. There’s this store where you can buy fresh egg tarts and supposedly so so good as the one in Portugal. You saw the Eng be tin store. Their specialty is Hopia with different fillings like ube, monggo, langka, ube with macapuno (my fav ), etc
Come back some other time. There are lots of food areas in Binondo. You should try Eng bee tin and other food stalls there. Lucky Chinatown is jist a mall. Spend more time in Binondo and you will find more food there. I suggest you book a food tour to get the best food in the area
That is quite a large Chinatown! It's too bad you couldn't find the food stalls you were hoping for, but it was still impressive to see!
You should Go there on exact Chinese New Yr. There are dragon dance and so many activity on that day!
Guys don't hesitate to ask for directions or anything, instead of walking aimlessly in circles and wasting time in finding your way around.
you definitely need to go again but this time with a tour guide or do some research, you NEED to taste the amazing iconic foods of chinatown
First🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭❤️❤️❤️🎉🎉🎉
Amazing foc free wow that’s good 👍 good to see you guys on the outside and not inside due to rain the U.K. rains like there but we have rain most of the time be safe love you mum your no 1 fan xxxx
Nice experience
Very cool 😎👍 keep safe
Hello guys chinese new year is around the corner. Try to come back on January 22 Chinese New Year.. Experience the festivities in the heart of Ongpin St beside Binondo church. Also, come and visit authentic chinese street food, watch and enjoy dragon/lion dance and alot more. 👍
Watching from Israel 🇮🇱. Enjoy your travel around Philippines guys and stay safe. MABUHAY!
They should have asked around
Hello 👋 there. Thank you for sharing your video. 🤙💐♥️🙏☮️🌹
Super great tour
There are days that are free. Malacanang is a no pic zone :-)
Binondo church architecture was paterned after a Chinese pagoda with red Bricks built during the colonial times. It will be quite hard for tourist to do the food crawl on their own coz the authentic Filipino -Chinese heritage restaurants and stalls are scattered all around narrow streets and atleys being an old town, and the oldest Chinatown for that matter, It is better to get a proper tour guide that will take you to the sumptuos food stalls and will enlighten you of the history and culture of Binondo at the same time.
binondo is more famous for filipino-chinese food. if you want filipino streetfood you should check out ugbo in tondo (also in manila) 😊
Awesome!
Can't believe you guys weren't able to get decent food in China Town. There are heaps of good food spots there. Watch other vlogs or do a little more research. Better yet do a food tour. Cheers!
Enjoy your time in manila,😍❤
You should have brought a tourguide with you.
My dream is to see you both in personal. 🤞🤞🤞Before un leave in the Philippines.
❤️❤️❤️
the main ones are on ongpin and carvajal street but the best shops are well hidden
Welcome to manila....... i bet im the 1000th person to say it lol
the ferry is free! :))
be safe guys
Hi! Louie and Dion China Town center of food attraction is in Ongpin St. enjoy.
Wished you’ve done your research like tasty dumplings for the best pork chops; new pong heng for thes best fresh lumpia. They are all kinda hidden
🥰🥰🇵🇭
My pinoy bf took me to a resto that has a this big bowl of beef noodles.... It was fascinating!
No kidding, you'd find more of "authentic" Chinese food in Manila's Chinatown (rather, the Philippine-side "authentic" Chinese food as the popular restos there serve it, like New Po Heng fresh lumpia, Chinatown-style; Sincerity Café, and the numerous tea, dumpling and noodle "houses"). Since some are small, family run eateries, you'd likely eat their food in the street.
Well, nothing beats a free ride (and always, a new discovery) from one part of Metro Manila to another =D Cheers ü
PS. Louie has mostly been hilarious in through the walk in this vid _("…Christmas from September to…June" etc.)_

It’s the oldest Chinatown in the world. Not sure if it’s the biggest. There’s plenty of street Food for sure. Just roam around.
Yep it’s FREE. 😀 for a while now.
Snatcher? Nah. Not Chinatown. Police there are well supported by Chinoy businesses.
Like anywhere in the world just be street smart.
Binondo is also clean nowadays
I cant believe you went to Chinatown without tasting the food!!! You have to do a little research about the shops, its not located in a single area. Usually you restaurant hop when you want to have a food tour in Binondo.
not largest Chiba town ,its the oldest China town in the world
You just walk pass the china town.its behind the church.Ong pin street
Ahh??? you guys went to Chinatown to eat KFC? hehehe. anyway, if ever you go back,
Try to eat at
1. Wai Ying, - order their siomai, beef noodle soup.
2. Quick snack - order their vegetarian fresh lumpia
3. Dong Bei dumplings - order their steamed dumplings
4. Shanghai fried siopao - order their fried siopao.
:)
I don't believe that Philippines got the oldest Chinatown town in the world coz. It can't be older than any town in China.
you can't include town in china if you are referring to Chinatown, the meaning of Chinatown is Chinese small town outside china
Are you serious? Chinatown is a district outside of China, in other countries, where the population is predominantly of Chinese descent.
It was meant to be a joke, frank!
@@rm06dakind4 I know! It was meant to be a frank joke. I always say to every vloggers who say we got the oldest Chinatown in the world but this time I said it differently!
@@rubenclavio frank joke? really? Do you mean a prank?
