What If You Go to Paladin Brandis Without His Team's Holotags in Fallout 4?

Have you ever wondered what would happen if you went to Paladin Brandis without the holotags of the fallen members of his recon team in Fallout 4? I decided to find out. First, I went to the Brotherhood of Steel airship and took the quest to find the lost patrol. Then, I started searching for all the missing Brotherhood of Steel members. When I found their bodies, I only took the holotapes, leaving their tags with them. After finding the last member of the lost patrol, I finally learned the location of Paladin Brandis and went to him immediately.

You can trigger the mission without being in the BoS ranks. You reach to the national guard training center, enter, and go to the office that's on the back-right of the building. Maybe Brandis has even other reaction if you add this factor

Fun fact you dont need to go to the brotherhood to start the quest just finding one of the location and deactivateing the beacon will cause the quest to start i did the quest after destroying the brotherhood ship another fun fact the dude doesnt have a special line for you destroying the brotherhood ship

You can also do this mission with out bos but you can't go into the bunker but you can save danse team and then complete the mission

You sure? I found and completed the quest without ever encountering Danse or interacting with the BoS in my gameplay (mostly on account that the Fire Support quest is bugged for me so I can't interact with Danse).

I'm replaying now. Went to the bunker with Macready before meeting Danse or anyone from BoS. Got inside and turned Brandis aggro.

you can, you just need to listen to all 3 holotapes when you listen to the last you will be given a key to the bunker

I managed to soft lock this quest, I completed ark jet systems, got my legendary rifle before leaving going straight to the patrol, and after I finished it I brought the prydwen, but now I’m unable to give danse my report, and kells isn’t available to report to either

If you get him to rejoin the brotherhood then kill him. He will still pop up on the pridwn later 😅 Why do such a thing you ask... To get the bos black officer suit. Can't get it anywhere else in the game

Naw. I’m level 155 and when vertibirds drop off BOS members at the pre-scripted areas around the map, they’ll usually have one or two soldiers who drop that are wearing the black suits. I always let them die or pickpocket them for those cool black suits 😂
