- A Cold snap, a change in the weather, a jolt for the fish. How would I fair tackling Carp at a local Stillwater during Septembers strange fishing weather ? I struggled to be honest...however we managed a 7lb Common Carp at the 11th hour. Tackle used , Guru method feeder 28g with 4 inch , 9lb hook length and size 14 hook. Bait 6mm robin red.
