I'm running Eindhoven marathon, in the Netherlands, hopefully sub 4 hours, my age is 54, so these BQ times are pretty far out of my reach. No question for Sarah, just compliments on this marathon, well done!

I have signed up for the Helsinki City Running Day marathon on 13th of May. So in three weeks. I am ready and prepared. My plan is to finish between 4:00 - 4:15. I have done my last long run 33km on Tuesday. I have logged ~1300km in the last 20 weeks. My question is what should be the best strategy for the last 3 weeks.

I would like to run a marathon some day. Did my first half marathon this year at 1:54. But i got several injuries. Putting me out of running for 6 weeks. I guess mostly because a ramped up my volume to much and my rest / recovery after was bad. So my biggest question is. How to recover properly from such an event? And wwhen is your first training afterwards?

The fact she did 10.2 minute miles average and able to sound completely normal, with no visible sign of struggle at the end 😮is spectacular. She just carried on, doing her sign off like it was nothing. But wondering if pizza is a tradition after English complete marathons?

    AMAZING!!! 💙💙💙
I ran my first full Marathon last sunday, even though Half-Marathon distance is already... "routine" for me, I was exhausted at 18k already.
And after 23k I thought I might die. xD I really wasn't in my best shape that day. The weather also was warmer than expected and I was still in my period-week (+Endometriosis, sometimes it felt like my lower body would just fall off at some point)
It all got better at 38K - somehow it even made me cry when I ran past 40. Seeing that sign and running past it made me so emotional somehow.
And EVEN though I thought earlier that I would never do this again - now I somehow can't wait to do this again!

I'm 28 looking to run my first marathon this year in under 4 hours. I would say BQ time is way out of reach for me :D
Maybe some years down the line, when i'm more trained and the BQ for my age category is more accesible.

Well, I was going to go for sub-2 at Boston next year, but if it doesn’t count as a world record, what’s the point…😂
Great video Sarah, thank you: well done 👍

I definitely want to run this race! But for me, I need to do a sub 3h10 before, so I still need to work… but I’m getting there!

If you are looking for iconic finishing lines, you should do the Athens Marathon in November. It doesn't get any more iconic in terms of route than that.
It's in the name. You start from Marathon and finish inside the stadium where the first modern Olympic Games were held.
