I want to take you along for a full day of plant chores like propagation, organizing, and repotting many plants from my houseplant collection. I have some Ficus elastica, Hoya crimson queen, Syngonium, Begonia, Scindapsus, and Monstera Deliciosa to prune and repot.

Hiiiii everyone, I'm back 💚! Q&A: Would you ever consider buying premixed soil? I'm CURIOUS...
I hope you enjoy this video & if so, you are going to LOVE this one as well: ua-cam.com/video/wm3NF_QsgUY/v-deo.html
Classic Work&Plant Lifestyle. Dont forget to also take care of your partner as much as of your plants.
The life of a plant parent: the to-do list never ends!
Exactly! There is always more to prop, pot, airlayer, repot, organize buy and treat 🙈🙈🙈🙈 Greetings from Germany
Dari Indonesia nonton.. infonya trimakasih 🙏
Gosh, I need to go there. If you like bonsai trees, I would recommend also visiting the Bonsai Zentrum in Heidelberg. That place is amazing
Thanks for the tips Thiago! Next time I visit Heidelberg I'll have a look there 👌.
I absolutely love that you make lists and check them off on real paper! I am that girl too! My boyfriend thinks I should just make my lists on my phone somewhere.
Hi Rebecca 💚 I feel you! I tried making lists several times on my PC with notion or on some sort of note taking apps and it never works for me. I either fill them out and then never look at them again or I get distracted by my phone too much. I'm definetly with you on team paper 😅 It also just "feels better" that's probably a bad argument to make but it's true 😁.
Wow beautiful plants
Thank you so much 💚
Loved sharing a day of plant chores with you.
So glad you enjoyed it Karen! 💚
In answer to your question, yes I do use a premix soil from “Soil Ninja” they do all the different mixes and their own Pon version in 2 types small pieces for more delicate roots, and the larger pieces for some of the aroids. I personally love what they so, as do my plant babies. 😁 🌱💚🪴
Ohhh yeah right I heard about Soil Ninja, have never tried it myself but judging from how long they are already on the market they must be doing something right. 😊 I just never thought people would be interested in soil, mixes now having used ready to use mix for a few months I totally get it though😅 Thank you for you insights Kathy :)
Beautiful plants 🪴
Thanks for sharing ❤
My pleasure, glad you enjoyed the video 💚
wow,, ganda nmn po ng plants mo... my ganyan dn po sa aking plant vlogs.. thank you po sa info mam
Aww. I hope you are feeling better now :)
Hugs from Chile
PS: I'm kinda a beginner so it would be soooo cool if you can make a video about "taking care of a recently soil potted cutting" (propagation) because I think the care is not the same as a super establish plant (with a loooot of roots :B). I have two hoya cuttings in pomice because they rotted in soil🙄 and now they are doing great, new leaves, a little more roots... so the thought of transfering them to soil gives me anxiety 😅(I'm not going to do it until I have a lot of roots BUT then I remember the "transition is harder to go from semi hidro to soil if you wait too much" 🙃🥴) so it would be sooo nice to know what to do to not fail this time 🤡😆
First of thank you Dani 💚
Oh boy don't even get me started on Hoya propagations in soil. I struggle with the transfer into soil as well, so I don't think I am qualified to help you with that. What I can say is I had most success propagating in perlite or Leca and then transferring the plant into soil. Most of the time there will be lot of leca stuck to the roots but I do not remove that. I also wait until I have a lot of roots ^^ It also works with little roots but in this case I would definitely put the potted up plant into a humidity box afterwards. Just so it does not transpire to much water trough the leaves.
Greetings from Germany 😊
@@LeafyLuster Danke! 😊 Yeah, I don't do it in soil either, is the "taking from perlite/pomice TO soil" what makes me sooo nervous, but thanks for the tips!!! I'm going to wait to have lots of roots. Now is winter over here so the "potting in soil" (if everything is still going well 🤡😆) could be on october even november🤗 Have a great week!
Love your channel, so I hit the SUBSCRIBE button!!!
Much appreciated Wanda 💚 I'm glad you like it here 😊.
Great video! Thank you! I think your Hoya pubicalyx may be a Hoya pubicalyx Royal Hawaiian Purple, since the new growth is so dark...but I may be wrong! 😅
Hi Grace, I'm glad you liked it 😊. I am in fact also wondering if it's a Royal Hawaiian purple but since she hasn't bloomed for me yet I can't really tell the difference unfortunately. 😅

Question:
Is there any chance of you making a video about your watering routines? I have such a bad time especially with my Philodendron. I never seem to find the sweet spot with those suckers. At some point, they eventually lose all leafs (they'll get red and yellow) and I don't know what I am doing wrong. I just assume it's the watering. Thanks
Oh boy, I had that happen to one of my Ph. Pink Princess as well. Leaves all fell off. I suspect it was overwatered. I struggle with Philodendrons as well so I'm no expert on that. But I think it's still a great idea to make a video about watering and really focus on how I water different plants. Thank you for the idea 😊
This might be a long shot, but do you know where that bright green nursery pot for the ficus tineke is from. I am in love with the color and have been looking for one like that for so long!
I looooved that green nursery pot too 😆
I checked the planter. It's originally made by a company in the Netherlands (Krimpen.nl) Buuut I got it from the Bauhaus hardware store. All of there plants are potted in those green nursery pots. The Brand name from Bauhaus is Piardino I belive. Not sure if the pots are available separately though 😅💚
There is no link for your scalpel set - my eyes were 🤩
You has the day off and you still set an alarm!?!?!?! I know it's just a sketch but I'm imagining it happened lol.
The alarm is a soundeffect but I actually DID set an alarm in real life. It also sounds the same😁.
Whenever I have a day off I like to use it to get stuff done, so I MUST set an alarm. Otherwise I sleep till noon and get nothing done.😅😴
So it's an accurate depiction of me waking up just 5 minutes after I woke up irl. Hair and puffy face included 🤣.
@Leafy_Luster ugh girl, you're better than me. I have insomnia, so I rarely sleep but still manage to get almost nothing done.
😅
👋 hello! New sub here and I like what you’re doing. Also your editing is adorable. I wish my plant channel had you to edit. I’ll be looking forward to seeing more of your plants and progression 😊 I’m in the desert of Las Vegas- with a lot of humidity (NOT!) lol 😆
Hi Miles, thank you so much for the kind words. Hearing that from a fellow creator means the world. Sending you lots of greetings and humidity from Germany 😅💚
Love this
Thank you, I'm glad you liked it 💚
I'm really surprised that pre-mixed soil actually doesn't cost that much more! Also, I'm really curious if your begonia leaf cuttings worked out! I once read that cane begonias don't leaf-propagate like 'bulb'-begonias, but I haven't tried it myself yet...
Also: how cute is that ficus shivereana 😍 pretty sure I've got one from the same grower (same size, same pot, but in the Netherlands)
Hi Eline, I was also surprised. And after using it for a few months now, I think I am already so spoiled with the ready to use soil mix. I think I can't go back to mixing my own soil 😅. Except maybe for reeeeeally large projects like my big planter box.
The Begonia Amphioxus cuttings did actually root. And one also has some tiiiiny baby leaves. BUT Most of them hat a little piece of the leaf stalk on them and that's where I saw the new growth. Might be they grow from the stalk but wouldn't grow from the actual leaf. They are still very fragile though. I'll try to show em in a future video once I do something with them 😊
For the Shiveriana, I got her in a large gardencenter and I am 100% sure they get most of their stock from the Netherlands, so it's entirely possible our Ficuses are siblings 😁
Do you notice it taking a super long time for the scindapsis exotica to root AND start to actually put out new growth? If not, any tips?? I sell a lot of my props here in the states, but I hardly ever cut and sell my exotica because it has always taken so much time to get a cute little pot going😩 love your channel!❤
It's funny you say that Lauren 😅. I find my Scindapsus pictus argyraeus and the Silvery ann take super long to root. And then they also only make one long root. Especially leafless cuttings don't do well.
Quite opposite to yours my Exotica is the fastest rooting of them all and I usually have great success propagating mine 🙈. She forms roots pretty fast and they branch out more. I typically just cut them (when they are well watered) and stick them in a jars with water. Then I put them in a well-lit space and that's it. Since they are native to Southeast Asia or New Guinea, I think they are used to temperatures from 25-30°C. Maybe you could try keeping your cuttings a little warmer. Other than that I have no idea.
@@LeafyLuster LOL, that's so funny! That's a good point though. I'm getting a small tent put up in the next few weeks so I may try putting them in there because it'll definitely be warmer and brighter than the spot I normally have them🤔 Thanks! It seems obvious now, but I really hadn't thought about the warmth! I don't get much natural light so that plant and it's props have never been near a warm window or anything, just getting indirect light from my grow lights🤦🏻♀️👌❤️
Grow tent sounds perfect. If you can think of it, let me know how it went and if it helped anything 😉💚
💓
are you still using the old/replaced soil ?
Yes I do. If there is no mold or pests in the soil I just mix it in with some fresh soil and reuse it. I just collect everything in the mint colored bin. 💚
❤️🌱
Hi Carol 💚🥳
I missed u 🥹🥹😍😍
Hi Yeganeh, I missed u guys too! It's weird but not being able to film or upload for a while was so strange. I really hope I can keep up a better schedule soon 😉😉💚💚
Please see this comment because I have a baby monstera deliciosa and I need a name also its growing a new leaf (10th leaf eee!)
Woahhh 10th leaf, doesn't sound like it's so "baby" anymore 🥳
💚🪴✂️✨
What can I say, I can't stop propagating. It's an addiction 😅
