I'm listening to this version of the National Anthem for the first time. It's literally taking my breath away and bringing tears to my eyes. I'll always miss you, Big Man!!
I loved this guy as a kid. I loved the E Street band and I remember every song that he played the saxophone in was my favorite. I didn't even know he died until 2015. He's the reason I play saxophone now. I'll never be as good as him and I only play alto but I can never get tired of listening to his saxophone. I'm 16 now and I've been listening to that guy for 12 years now.
Same for me, my dad showed me I’m going down and the sax solo in that song, and I instantly fell in love with it! I’m only 11 and listening to him, and I’m the kid that my schools considers old!
I remember Clarence playing the National Anthem before Game 5 of the 2006 NBA Finals. Still to this day one of the greatest renditions I have ever seen. RIP, Big Man.
Big Man is missed by many people. I never hade the chance to see him live, but in 2016 I saw Jake playing on stage with Bruce in a tribute to Big Man...
Wow what an honor! I don't think there has ever been just a musician playing an instrument to perform Our National Anthem. Excellent performance Mr. Clemans. Your memory lives on.
I love his playing and have most of his albums with his own bands but i don't think he was playing it live. Watch around 1:56-57 ...he didn't "tut" . his lower lip wasn't touching the mouthpiece but 2 '"tut" notes came out ; impossible ! Not that I blame him . I've been playing Tenor for almost 40 tears and I'd be scared shitless to hit that wrong note in front of all those people who know all the notes to that tune.
Sounds nice and nothing but the highest respect for Clarence. But either this was prerecorded or the sound is not in sync (it's especially obvious around 1:51). Prerecording simplifies things, so I wouldn't be surprised if that was the case.
So called Americans seen either crossing their arms or holding they're hands in front. I guess they forgot how to put their right hands over their heart. Incredible. I see the same thing at NFL football games.
The hand over the heart is done during the Pledge Of Allegiance... not the national anthem. Some people DO choose to hold their hand over their heart, and thats fine. You really need to know the difference though.
he was the best, but i must admit i was shocked at the lack of respect from the crowds, too many dam people not with their hands on their heart, paying respect, now that is dreadful,
Rip big man , 5 years and it still seems so raw.
So true...
I'm listening to this version of the National Anthem for the first time. It's literally taking my breath away and bringing tears to my eyes.
I'll always miss you, Big Man!!
DAN, ALSO CHECK OUT WHITNEY HOUSTONS VERSION, GOD REST HER SOUL. !!!
Also made me cry like a baby the first three times I watched it. Now just a few tears.
And to think there are highly paid professional athletes who would take a knee during this. Unforgivable!
@@guyfroml Not everyone is treated equally in America. Soldiers fought for our freedom to protest. Educate yourself.
One of the last times he blew his horn. He died 2 months after this. He is missed.
MrATLfalconfan Oh Lord, I'm deeply saddened. Rest on the big man.
Damn sad.
U GOT THAT RIGHT !!! BUT JAKE IS FILLIN' OK
Sad!! He was amazing!!!
Wow. Amazing artist

A true American! Didn’t see one knee touching the ground!
Wow what an honor! I don't think there has ever been just a musician playing an instrument to perform Our National Anthem. Excellent performance Mr. Clemans. Your memory lives on.
Actually there is several. There was a dude that did it at a Lakers Game in 2008, and he regularly does it for them at least once a year
On an Alto Sax too
His name is Everette Harp, check him out. I actually like his version better, but Big Mans is good with the piano in the back
Grande Clemons! Descanse em paz!

Pour les amoureux et nostalgique de BIG MAN (regretté saxophoniste du BOSS).
RIP Big Man

thank u big man !!!!!!!
If Clarence was alive today, and played a national anthem like this at an NFL game, I bet everyone would stand the fuck up.
AMEN , YUP YUP ..
They'd better.
Amen, bruh.
Killin it
Wow, he was great
Back when people respected the flag, country, and the national anthem...........
I miss you dad :/
Grande Maestro...
Love the Big Man
Very nice .
Sounds nice and nothing but the highest respect for Clarence.

Yeah i saw the same thing.
Its just the video and audio out of sync
Could be video delay

0:29 “see him, honey? He’s going to be a part of your musical education from here on out.”
Big man, YOU DA MAN!
Whoops...was that pre-recorded? Around 1:50 and further, he takes a breath but the horn is making sound....
Possibly. Not unusual.
Commozione 😢
I'm not even American and i love it
Real patriotic family at 30 seconds in
ROCKING IT A LITTLE, BUT WITH RESPECT. NICE.
I’m next to his jersey
It would be nice if that was Roy Bitten playing the piano. Guess we’ll never know.
❤️
Why are there people at a Marlins home game?
😢😇💜💜💜
What mouth piece is that?
I would like to know too!
KILLERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You are missed

In the hard rock
what is that hanging off his head?
It's just hair. Long hair.
he was the best, but i must admit i was shocked at the lack of respect from the crowds, too many dam people not with their hands on their heart, paying respect, now that is dreadful,
Reaction: I don't like this arrangement.
Why so many DID NOT have their hands on their heart is disgraceful.
this is a failure to pay tribute to one of the greatest sax players ive ever heard cuz ITS NOT HIM PLAYING!!!!
what are you talking about. that's totally Clarence playing.
You slipped big time there, Sid.
