    I remember the first time I heard this song. I was up at 2 am with an upset stomach from food poisoning. I couldn’t sleep so I turned the tv and for some reason ended up on palladia. This song was on so I half ass listened. It got to the sax solo and it damn near brought me to tears. By far the greatest sax solo ever played. Take that Kenny G.

    In 1997 my then 13 year old daughter and I played a few songs with Clarence on stage at the Jazz Showcase in West Palm Beach Fla.. We played songs my daughter and I wrote . One of the songs my daughter played lead guitar on . We brought our 4 track cassette recorder so we could have nice memories of playing with The Big Man . After we played, I went to check the recorder and Clarence's publicist came over to us and demanded the cassette . I told the publicist to go tell Clarence we we just want memories of this night and want to hear how we sounded playing music with a person of rock n roll history . She talked with Clarence and came back and said Clarence want's the tape so I took it out of the recorder and snapped the tape in half and went to hand it to her . She said no it's OK just throw it in the trash and I did .
    When the publicist went to talk with Clarence I switched the tape of the recording and placed a blank cassette in the recorder . The tape I snapped in half was a blank tape and I put the tape with us playing with him in my pocket .
    Meanwhile Clarence had a cassette tape player he was also recording with ,and they were my songs and he didn't ask permission to record the music my daughter and I wrote .
    He was a real asshole . It was around the time Bruce was playing solo gigs and Clarence was looking for his own act as Bruce S owned all the royalties to the E Street band 's music . Clarence wanted to be collecting royalties also for old age security .Clarence still had to work for a living to support his lifestyle and was only getting paid $ 3,000 for the gig at the Show Case.
    A friend of mine at the time also played with Clarence that night and got his phone number and ended up doing some studio work with Clarence for a CD . I heard from another guy who was in the studio , that Clarence would ask my friend often while working in the studio how to get in touch with my daughter and I because we had a long list of original music he liked and wanted to work with us . After the cassette incident , I thought naah it's OK.
    My daughter's memories could have been a nice night to remember instead it was the memory of a mean spirited dickhead who had his publicist bully us to give up our property ,.
    Clarence suffered from inflated ego syndrome and surely was a guy who tooted his own horn. .... Karma to ya bro .Karma to us all !
    May all who are left on Earth spread kindness and good memories to each other while we are still here , as memories can last a lifetime and will last here for many years after we are gone.

Dancing on the table, when suddenly, I took a swan dive over the balcony 🌹😊😹😹😹🌹I came to outside 🌹People were coming by , patting my back, telling me how beautiful it was 🌹😹😹😹My friends came out and tossed the keys to me, and said,” you’re driving “😅🌹I don’t know how many parking meters I ran over that night. Apparently I drove home on the sidewalk. 🌹🌹 I don’t drink tequila anymore 😹😹😹🌹I fail to mention that I had been to sea for six months 😊🤪🎷❣️

    • @cjgreen4331
      @cjgreen4331 3 роки тому +2

      I didn't wanna say this anywhere, but the solo's not that good, it's pretty much a solo a middleschooler with great technique would play (articulation, growl, embouchure). Mediocre, it way overkills on repetitiveness, I don't say this because the solo is simplistic, but because it's 3 minutes long. I know whole songs that have more going on in the first 30 seconds then this solo does in 3 minutes. I sound so mean right now, I'm prob gonna regret writing this later, but I want it off my chest

    • @Tdubbs5476
      @Tdubbs5476 Рік тому +3

      @@cjgreen4331the beauty of the solo does not have to do with it’s complexity (or lack thereof in your opinion). Also I’d love to see the average middle schooler play high D, F and altissimo G as clean as Clarence did with that kind of volume and growl. Not every solo has to be a bunch of 16th notes to be considered amazing.
