Well she does have the advantage of a world class instructor for free :) Would love to see a bike park video a year from now though that would be awesome.
Jen is my favorite new presenter. I hope to have a full series where she learns more skills. Really motivating to see her learn and get better! Blake great work as always my dude.
Thanks Jen for being willing to go on camera. Learning in the tight confines of a garden on lumpy grass at low speed is hard. Add a camera and it is way more stressful. Have fun out in the bike.
Can we have Jen as a proper addition to the GMBN-team, for us normal people who struggle to keep up with the pros? She can do what I can't yet, except I've been riding for years now!
Blake, you are awesome. I love your energy and content. Way to go Jen!!! No stupid question. I had the same questions. The foot placement is very important to be able to lean your heels back. Blake you are an awesome example of a top rider that can show and teach people. Loved your cut to you editing and correcting your mistake. Way to go!!! I was stoked when Jen did the plank on the ground. I ride with my GF. She’s way better than me and she takes the time to teach me also. Cheers and keep it coming. Ps: I ride a hardtail because of your videos and showcase like megavalanche
Blake we need to see how Jen progresses. It's pretty cool to have someone of your calibre representing the absolute novice. Because to be fair you guys can be pretty intimidating to someone who doesn't have a clue. Damn handy that your student just happens to be your Mrs. This could unlock so much fun for potential MTBers. I'm gonna follow your tips and try to get my wife out with me and our sons. I shall forward the link for this to her as well to follow.
This is the video my wife needed to see, she messaged me earlier asking if we can go practice some of these things out on the bikes at the weekend 😊 thanks Blake!
My parents have been forcing me to ride a bike and to mountain bike since I was a small child. This video made me realize how good I have it with these basic skills that I was taking for granted.
Just watching this it's great seeing Blake taliking like yea I'm a dude yea boi yeayeayea and then he looks at his missus and becomes quiet, kind and gentle. That's proper love right there. Love you guys :)
I too just took the wife out for the first two weeks ago. Two weeks out on local trails and she is looking for more trails to ride. What a great way to spend time together and exploring. She could not believe that she had never tried this before. Thanks for all the informative videos. Keep up the great work.
I'm following GMBN for quite some time now and the content is always great but this one topped it all! Good tips, simply explained, step by step and no fancy stuff! I really like the way Blake brings the content to an easy to understand level. But here the admiration should go to Jen. Great video, I hope there will be more like this. And I really wish you all the best as a happy family!!! The way Blake enjoys the success of Jen is adorable, I tend to do the same! Happy shredding!!!
My sweet wife is a beginner too and we enjoyed watching you two, Blake and Jenna, working together. Thank you for sharing your skills and encouragement.
You are a lucky man, Jenna is the sweetest woman ever! I loved watching you teach her! I’m a super beginner as well, and am blessed with the best teacher/BF! He showed me your channel!
soo many new riders out on the trails now i think this could help a lot of them out , simple things shown in blake and Jen's vid like looking ahead and body position , they just add another dimension to a ride and so useful on any ride out ( little things mean a lot ) , well done you two ;)
Thanks guys! I always had on my mind, that videos about basics are really boring (sometimes even stupids), until I got my son to ride and have to teach him how to do it. I've learnd those things while kid, trying, falling, etc... I know how to do it, I but had no idea how to teach. Until now, thanks!
This is possibly the best Mtb video I’ve ever seen. This has given me the way in for my wife, who is scared she’ll fall off on the flat! Thank you so much Blake and Jenna!!!!
Well, I am not sure how long that all took, but she certainly came a LONG way in what seems like a short time! Your little man will be doing jumps before he is 4 with skilled Mom and Dad like you guys! I started last year and love it, the slow corner turns are still a bugger for me. I will try it in the back yard with rocks instead of trying it on the trail. Might make for less trail rash...LOL
She’s a proper legend! Wicked!! Loved this video and loving all the lockdown videos! Watching you teach her was one of the cutest things you look so proud! Bloody love it
Great video! I am just like Jena, I have 3 weeks with my new mountain bike and I am watching all the videos for beginners. I am glad I am not the only one that is so new to the mountain biking world as an adult. Good video Blake and Jena! But my husband is not a mountain biker, he is a triathlete, so I need all the help that I can get from videos like this one.
Blake, this was great! All four of my kids have become much more interested in riding their bikes, and we’re going to sit down tonight and watch this video together. Tomorrow morning, we’re all going to work on our basic skills.
This is great! No one ever really talks about the basics, I suppose because by the time you're good enough to make videos, the basics are deep history. But stuff like foot position and knowing how to brake right are not necessarily intuitive, but are super important to get right. Great job guys!
Jen is FABULOUS!!! I’ve been MTB for just 2 years (born a roadie) but that was a lotta fun to watch. I remember not long ago practicing the same stuff. Didn’t have such a good coach though!
Love this. We all need to know these things. I haven’t been on a bike for years, now riding MTB and want to do more. Watching this made me realise there’s loads to learn still. Thank you Blake and Jen you guys are awesome
Awesome vid. What a lovely couple. Love what you guys are doing on you channel at GMBN. Just bought an E - Mountain Bike at the age of 55 and the information you guys are providing has been invaluable to me. Much appreciated and keep up the great work !!
Blake, Jenn-thank you so much! You helped me give words for what i was feeling that I needed to learn to get more confident on the trail. Thank you for helping me give myself permission to break these techniques down and practice. My boyfriend doesn’t understand because he isn’t a beginner and did BMX as a kid. I love your lighthearted and playful approach and dynamic. Okay, off to create my assault course and wrap up my practice session for the day! Learning how to mountain bike is about more than just hopping on the trail and winging it or trying to apply the skills when it’s you & your bike vs. downhill cornering on one side and the edge of a mountain on the other.
So. Much. WIN! You two are an amazing team. GREAT insights, wonderful analysis, INCREDIBLE chemistry. This needs to be a new GMBN series (please?) AND it should be shown/given to new riders when they get their first MTB. Just brilliant!
Great video. I did not know how much there was to mountain biking until I started watching these videos. With no one local to learn from these videos are top notch for how to get started.
thank you for posting a video showing a beginner learning. I'v been missing being able to teach people to mtn bike this season so far. this video absolutely made my day. thank you to posting this and thank you Jen for allowing us to see you progress. i was smiling ear to ear and cheering for you with every skill you learned. especially when you started to get the straight line riding :) I'm going to live vicariously through this series to get my "teaching fix" until i can get back to teaching people myself. such an uplifting video. wishing you both tons more fun while riding, take care
Jen is a good sport and this video is giving me plenty of ideas of how to train my daughter whom just got her first 24" wheel GT mountain bike. Well done guys!
You guys are having so much fun. Ive got to do this with my wife. I took her straight to the trail and after otb about 3 times shes a little hesitant to ride now.
Yall are awesome together. Blake's energy bounces off of her more quiet personality. However, it makes everything she says more impactful. Y'all are total opposites but in all the best ways 😆
Thanks Jen for doing this, I would love to go out riding with my husband but have no skills or confidence. The other beginner hints are done by pros and I feel they are already way above my level but I can so relate to what you said and how you were. Thank you. I will watch this over and over again. Hope you do more. Thank you so much.
You guys should have this kind of episode.. or have a segment of Blake and Jen.. it’s really awesome to share this kind of video to partners who are just getting to mountain biking.. 🤘🏽🤘🏽 please make more videos like this, Blake!! You will save many relationships.. 😂😂😂😂
Was great to watch, would love to see more true beginner videos such as this, maybe a series of skills taught and what someone should learn before heading off road
I loved watching this! I’m not a very good rider and I work in the industry so most of the people I’m around are pretty advanced. It gets discouraging sometimes. Nice too see other beginners like me picking up new skills. Now I have some drills to practice on the weekends :) thanks! And Good job Jen!
Do you have a friend or family member that you would like to teach mountain biking? Let us know 👇
Yes my sister 🤘😬
My girlfriend :)
@@DroppingInTV 🤘
I was about to teach to my mum. What a timing GMBN!
My mother! 😬😬
We need more Blakes and Jens in this world 👍
So adorable :)
And we need more of Blake hanging with Jenna. She brings out the best in him!
Jen and Blake are fantastic 😍. Excellent video. Awesome progression. Their a better couple than Martin Ashton and Rob Warner.
Yep perfect couple!
+1!!
Next week: Jen sends rooftop to garden gap with no hander landing
Then, hits a 20ft drop on the trail
Cancan
Then, makes a backflip superman
I laughed so hard at this oml 😂🤣😂🤣
Ya I would not be surprised
Can Jen go pro?
Practice makes permanent
100%
Absolutely
Duh
Well she does have the advantage of a world class instructor for free :)
Would love to see a bike park video a year from now though that would be awesome.
Thank you for being brave enough to be the subject of a youtube video Jen.
Jen is my favorite new presenter. I hope to have a full series where she learns more skills. Really motivating to see her learn and get better! Blake great work as always my dude.
Just sayin, she listens to her husband WAY better than I listen to mine...LOL
@@loisgosselin8399 haha, this!
Thanks Jen for being willing to go on camera. Learning in the tight confines of a garden on lumpy grass at low speed is hard. Add a camera and it is way more stressful. Have fun out in the bike.
We need a Jen Blake series. It would be awesome to see the progress and learn as well.
I was a beginner, once. Now I'm just here to see what Blake's up to
A video that contains Blake is always a good video.
Migatron1 same
Don’t wanna like it
Can we have Jen as a proper addition to the GMBN-team, for us normal people who struggle to keep up with the pros? She can do what I can't yet, except I've been riding for years now!
Jen is so cute! And a really good sport.
Jen braving UA-cam and biking. What a legend. Well done :)
She did well to say a few words on camera
@@Zimblake She was AWESOME!!! Such a great sport!!!! Great smile!!! I am looking forward to the next video of skills with Jen part two!
Put this on Netflix I’d pay for my weekly Blake fix
Aw, love it! More Jen!
Hey Erika, she did well. Hope all is all well?
Blake Samson yep, doing great! Got some cabin fever, but who doesn’t right now? 😆
This is an incredibly wholesome video
It would be nice if my beginner bike looked something like that
Would be great if my non-beginner bike looked like that. But I love her all the same. 😊
This would be an awesome series to watch Jen's progression. I'd love to see her tackle bunny hops and manuals
Jen's a star! Well done for braving the camera, and welcome to the wonderful world of mountain biking 😀
Blake, you are awesome. I love your energy and content.
Way to go Jen!!! No stupid question. I had the same questions. The foot placement is very important to be able to lean your heels back.

What a lovely lady! The differences between the two of them is great. She is sweet and a little shy and Blake....is just Blake.
That was awesome! More Blake and Jen for sure! Congrats to bravery and sucess Jen, and Blake was great and patient. Super cool video, well done! :)
Thanks for watching!

Well, this video made me to want to go outside and getting on my bike and practicing a bit but unfortunately it is 11.40 pm and quite dark.
Love it! Show us more GMBN/GCN-Presenter-Partner-Vids! ;-)

When Jen said "I need to watch you again" melt my heart.

That's too funny 😂😂😂. Great teacher 👍
YES! Keep this up! New people to MTB what’s not to like!! Not everyone can shred straight away.
well, I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one eager to see this couple hiting the trails in a future video...great stuff
Blake and Jen! This just warms my heart. Thank you for sharing your family with us.

Welcome Jenna to the world of MTB. Blake is an awesome trainer, and Jen is an absolute incredible learner ! Love for both of you.
I must say Blake is awesome, I look for his videos before all else.
This is honestly so cute to watch. But also great to see an actual beginner progress in their skills
Some great practice tips, even for folks NOT beginners! I particularly like the plank "balance" and maneuvering around the obstacles.
