George Carlin once mentioned that he liked how Thomas & Friends tried not to be forceful with it’s message and how it treated the children who watched with respect. If he was still alive today, hooo boy, I’d bet he’d have some *very* choice words for the…direction that Mattel’s taken the franchise in.

Man, George Carlin was the best narrator on Thomas. How they got the guy who did The 7 Words You Can't Say On Television is beyond me. I mean Carlin isn't the most kid friendly of comedians but he did well on Thomas and it gave him a storyteller who's so in the series it sucks he left after season 4.

I personally disagree, Angelis is better than any other narrator. Series 3 - 6 he is bubbly and energetic, Series 7 was still pretty good, Series 8 and 9 he is decent. Series 10, The Pack Mini-Series and Series 12 aren't really great for the UK but is still miles better than Brandon. Unpopular opinion, but series 13 -16 were better than Series 7's UK narration.

None of us thought that Michael Brandon was going to get a mention, I assume.
He makes Peter Sam sound like a small child with a condition, what one exactly I aren’t sure. And I’m really not sure why, but it just works really well.
I like it.
But I’ll say, I’m not a fan of Carlin’s Oliver.
He just sounds like he’s wheezing.
