A master of dynamics Chris can play as soft as it can barely be heard and just as loud as the instrument allow it and never losing either tone or substance. 👏

My favorite movie of all time also. The music brings me back to the night in a Miami theater where my soon to be wife and I watched it.
Until that point and never again did I see people stay for credits of a movie and then slowly get up. My wife now rests in the arms of God but is still with me in my heart. Ah, the times, they are a movin.

I was so proud that I could see him on a screen so many miles away from our home. Bottí`s trumpet has a soul, thank you Maestro. Morriconi as all great composers moves a whole mountain of passion in my heart.

Chris Botti in spite of his young age, is a true virtuoso trumpet player. What I mean, that what we usually get from countless trumpet solos are brash, loud execution. It's much more rare, when the player is able to distinguish himself with tight control, restrain, subtlety and rich texture. The piano player followed the example in front of him, to strive for those praiseworthy qualities also.

Brian is so right in his comments about this wonderful, magical film, which celebrates the art of movie-making, and also love between generations and lovers alike. The most poignant aspect of the film for me was the tragic communication mixup which meant that two ideal lovers missed out on so many wonderful experiences together. Brian plays with a fine respect for the melody, and nice restraint. Bravo.

I really LOVE the Trumpet and have listened to many of the "Greats" like: Maynard Ferguson, Al Hurt, Herb Alpert, Doc Severnsen, Chuck Mangione, Freddie Hubbard and Chet Baker....just to name a very few. But YOU Sir,... have absolutely earned and made your place amougst them all! Congratulations, your have a marvelous talent...I hope you can give the people of this planet... many many more wonderful years of your music...and be ever "on-guard" for the vices and dangers that often surround your profession and success.

Another thing I just love about him is when he gives a show he shares the spotlight with the other artist even though it's his show! That says a lot about his character! He knows he's talented and don't mind sharing the talent of others! If you ever get a chance to go to one of his shows you are in for a treat! His shows are the greatest!😊🎹

I have heard you for the first time more than 20 years ago, touring with Sting where I was impressed by your style, but it is really your music as a leader where I was blown away by both your music and personality. I really appreciate the combination of intelligence, sensitivity and nobility, served with a humble attitude. I hope you will continue doing more great music! I would like also to take the opportunity to share my interpretation of "Cinema Paradiso", which is light years away from yours, but I hope still there is some emotion to it:

    He's extremely talented and passionate.
My fave movie and score of all time from the maestro himself Ennio Morricone. His live Vienna version is insane with a massive orchestra as he leads them. That's a genius in front of your eyes.
The scene Chris is speaking of when he looks back on his life...
he receives a tape of film left for him from a reel made for him from the projection room in Cinema Paradiso.
While he's watching it alone this music is playing throughout it with all the different movie cuts of old fashion love and their kiss. It's a tear jerker and a must see film.
This is a very soothing and lovely rendition.
