This is his best song, and yes I will die on this hill. It didn't get radio play for obvious reasons, but no song puts out the energy that this one did every time. It was literally Billy and the band just being able to let themselves go and let it all out. Just a great, powerful song.
“Scenes from an Italian Restaurant” is a must to react to! The Billy Joel rabbit hole is bottomless. There are so many good songs even though he does have a few good but cheesy 80s songs I’d say 90% of his music is phenomenal from the 1970s through the 80s and into the 90s and the guy has not stopped going since I’ve seen him in concert a couple times, once he did a concert with Elton John now that was a great concert!
Thanks for digging a little deeper than most reactors, I love this song. It should have more views but most people these days don't know what good music is.
I was born in '84 and when I was about 5 my parents bought me a walkman and one cassette and it was the Piano Man album, I still listen to these songs his music can be timeless. Top 2 u should listen to from this album IMO is Travelin Prayer and The Ballad of Billy the Kid
So many nights of partying included this song ❤
I love Billy so much ..

Tomorrow is Today
I will neither agree or disagree with you. Its one of his best and as good a choice for his best song as any of the other contenders.

I love this song - always have!
Captain Jack gets me by most nights ❤
Very courageous of you to admit to a serious drug addiction
Jack Daniels? That's cute. This about them other folks on that He-ron.
Hundred dollars of H would fit in a thimble (look it up)
Captain Jack is a drug dealer...
Yeah, gettin' jacked
Yes, and "Jack" is slang for heroin. That is where the dealer got his nickname
