1:27 i was thinking that I was crazy for being uncomfortable with a USMC stamped knife when I'm not serving in the military haha. I got the fully black ones with the rubber handle and it says USA 1211
Probably my favorite American knife company. A while ago I asked if their stacked leather would fit their kukri tang. It won't, but not too long after asking I saw they added a new kukri with the stacked leather handles. I have both the BK9(with the BK11) and the Kukri. Love both of them.
hey i mean he is the one that describes their products, and very well, that's one thing I like about him rather than the hosts of Knife Banter on BladeHQ's UA-cam channel
@@papasauce234 yeah, with you on that. I'm assuming they're somewhat self aware of their porous knowledge, hence the title, 'banter'. Their hosts are fun and lovable though!
Just got a Becker BK16, nice knife but the sheath is, at least serviceable and usable, but not sure how long it would last. I guess this is how to cut cost maybe. I have planes to make a nice leather sheath.
BK2 is very overated,it's very thick wide short and heavy.Too short for a chopper too heavy to work with on normal tasks..actually I don't like it at all. Also the handle is great for the BK7 and 9 but it's not thin (versatile) enough for such a short knife.
I have all those and a few more kabars except for the plastic folder and fairbanks sticker and I got the Reinhardt Kukri instead. Been looking for a continuous curved blade like Mors Kachanskis blade. I think that Jarosz might do the trick.
I am looking for a K bar like the one I bought in 1996. It was a lock back read and was a a small lock back at all. I haven’t been able to find one like it. It was made in the USA and was extremely durable. I lost a bye a friend borrowing it and never returning it. I would like to replace this knife but I haven’t been able to find one like it sense. I bought this one at a truck stop near Muncie Indiana. I went back recently and they have stopped selling K bar knives. If anyone can point me in the direction to find one of these please comment.
@@jadensmit9127 It's pretty good. Main thing I'm not really a fan of is the sheathe. I wish it was kydex but its okay. There's a cut out on the spine above the hand guard and its larger than the USMC size one by 1" with a hollow grind and slightly wider too
The grind of the mk2 clip just looks wrong. It does not line up with the main grind. This happens a lot on the mk2. Those EK knives are well over priced. And the combat versions are terrible, the gaurd becomes loose, it seems they are just pushed on with a bit of glue. The scales are what keeps the gaurd in place. Which is a real shame as a combat knife only has to do one thing!
@@drewpfeif5028 the dagger I got from them weighs about 2 and half pounds but the big chopper I got weighs 5 pounds legit wrist breaker you swing it wrong lol
When he said “... same great AUS 8 steel” , that was the end for me, as well as strike one of a possible three ( after three, we’re done doing business forever ) for KnifeCenter.
I can hear a voice whispering in my ear every time David holds something that’s on my wishlist, “buy it~ buy it~~”.

The Ka-Bar BK-7 is my favorite. It's the best utility, survival, camping knife. The sweet spot for all around usage.
The Dozier thumbstud isn't biased fyi, you can unscrew it and rescrew it onto the other side. It's a very good design.
Good catch, thank you!
BK7, BK9, BK16, BK17 BK18 (Black) are my choices. I have several others, I just like Becker Knife and Tool Co.
I work at a knife shop and watching these are very useful for learning more about what I sell thank you so much
Your understanding of the concept of a "fuller" gave me a warm fuzzy feeling inside...
Bless your soul David.

I really like the look of that stacked leather handle, is there any special maintenance required?
No Turok?

Not sure exactly what knife you are referring to, but you can see all of KA-BAR's current folder offerings here: kcoti.com/3k4b8dO
Was the kabar used on D-Day?
I love American made but will buy Taiwan.
Yeah you left a lot of stuff out Dave....The ESEE Junglas, The Schrade....Oh...KA-BAR......Oh.....Well then, that's an awesome list!!
So many great knives, so little time.
Of all the Beckers, how do you not go the BK2? Carrrrrrrrrn mate. I have BK2 and USMC Fighter, 2 of my fav's.
Because the list couldn't be all Beckers lol!
Has anyone got a 1271 fighter? I have one and its so rare to see anyone review, use or even talk about them
Im thinking of buying one,is it good?
i mainly wanna buy that one because it comes with the leather sheath.

Hi can you tell me if the KaBar website still exists ? It's impossible to find it.
