EDIT: It is LOL. I'd honestly say everyone has justification about wanting the shops to be better. It's not even a matter of new skins being an issue, it's the fact that they bring back like 30 things on a rotation since Chapter 5 started. It's just so abysmally boring and it feels genuinely AI generated at this point. They need to bring back the shop system in the past, because the new shops are just so repetitive and bad.

I watched the entire video but I’m gonna be honest, people have the right to complain about the shops. While you make the point of some people not having vbucks, a lot of people do, and there are still many people who want to collect skins in their favorite game. There are so many skins I’m personally waiting for but Fortnite refuses to bring them out. No game has cosmetics as good as Fortnite does, and people want to spend their money.
People have already mentioned the idea of separating the shops which would solve the lego problem pretty easily. Trust me, I dont think anybody is really upset that skins dont have legos, the majority of players play BR and Creative, both of which have normal fortnite skins in them, so thats what they should cater to. Not to mention The only thing interesting we got return from last season was Takara, and I guarantee we would have gotten more if it werent for the lego problem.
Not only is the UI terrible, Another problem with the shops is them forgetting to bring back emotes, wraps, and bundles. This is a huge problem as then people cant get all of the cosmetics in a set they want. I definitely see your side from this argument, but with the direction fortnite is going with the item shops its very hard to justify it. Absolutely not hate to you, but I 100% understand peoples frustration.

Most of the Fortnite fanbase are kids so instead of just burning all of your or your parents money on a game just save it instead of losing money constantly. Hell I agree, I also hate the terrible shops but people don’t need to be burning all of their money for a game and instead wait and be patient for the right time to spend their money. Money is a very valuable part of life and I just don’t see the need to waste so much on a video game. (In my personal perspective)

its quite legit the reason that i have emotes that i want to return, and they dont, i can afford them, but its so frustrating when the cosmetics i want to return never make an appearance. the shops need some sort of change. period.
Yeah it’s super frustrating when the only thing I want is the Star Power emote and it hasn’t been seen in over 240 days. It even has a LEGO variant but they just refuse to bring it back for some reason

Star Wand hasn’t been out in 100+ days which doesn’t make sense since it’s one of the most popular pickaxes in the game, Echo and Rustler, two skins that were released in monthly rotation now haven’t been seen since October. It’s almost like Epic are trying to create rarity and high demand

I think a MAJOR reason people complain about nothing interesting coming to the Shop is because they CAN afford what they want but can't buy it.
That sounds simple but what I think the issue really is behind that is that they already spent IRL money for the Vbucks so that money's already tied up and in limbo until something worth spending Vbucks on comes around.
I have a fair chunk of Vbucks with nothing interesting to get like Kratos, Master Chief, the Arcane skins, some really cool old skins, packs and bundles. The way the shop is right now on what feels like a biweekly rotation of frankly boring skins, I'll never use my Vbucks which means I spent IRL money that I can't use for possibly months or more for seemingly arbitrary reasons.
That feels bad and I'm sure is why most folks hate the shop. They spent IRL money and have Vbucks but nothing to spend on.

A good fix for the shop is to add a option that lets you hide tabs that you don't want. Much like archiving, you can click on a tab to hide it.

That was actually a point I made in the original video but cut it out for time. It is frustrating that certain seasonal cosmetics aren't returning. Sometimes it feels like Epic doesn't want to take our money 😂
They could do what they did with the Festival Pass and have it change when you swap between the game modes.
Unless I'm wrong they already do that? Like it doesn't ONLY show that specific mode's stuff, but it'll put it at the top of the item, i.e: opening and playing Rocket Racing will show Rocket Racing's cosmetics first and foremost.
Yeah, but I more mean make them only show up in those exclusive shops. It makes it less cluttered, more room for stuff in each individual shop, and you could maybe even do different designs for each to make them more distinct.

The item shop idea you have is so ignorant. Having all skins at once? That’s stupid, just imagine 1,000+ skins excluding the bp ones in the shop at once with all their pickaxes, backblings, glasses, wraps, contrails, emotes, with the new Lego styles, and the rocket racing cosmetics in *one* item shop. The new Fortnite UI is already so bad imagine how much worse it would be with this new item shop. And imagine having to school through all that. They’d probably add a search bar because it would most likely be 3,500+ accessories within that one shop. The stupidity for you to even suggest such an ambitious idea amazes me. Also Epic really aren’t the ones inflating the rarity of their skins but it’s more of the community. We’re the ones who started watching for the last time a skin was released which made those without that skin feel like they needed it. Take the Recon Expert for example, that skin is such an atrocious looking skin but since it hadn’t come out in so many years we all sort of gave it this extra importance compared to other skins. So when it released in the item shop again everyone and their moms wanted it to the point where it’s not even talked about anymore. If we as a community just stop caring about how long ago Travis Scott released or when Kratos will come back, then the inflated rarity or FOMO wouldn’t be so bad. This is not me saying that epic doesn’t make the items shops the way they do to cause FOMO btw, I think their item shop was definitely made the way it is to induce FOMO onto their players but we have to stop that from having such a big impact in the community.

When theres nothing good in the shop im fine with it cuz its money saved and when theres something I like im also fine with it because i can buy something good.
I typically agree with a lot of your spins on things but I don't know if you're trolling or not, but saying something like only you and ITalk can afford to buy what they want in the item shop is a gross generalization and remarkably arrogant position to take. Not everyone that plays the game is experiencing financial hardship except for content creators. There are other jobs out there and other sources of income

Boiling down hundreds of arguments into just "oh youre broke" is a rlly tone deaf thing to say and isnt a fair representation of like 90% of the playerbase LMAO lets take me for example; im fed up with the item shops and i want them to offer much better content, i also have 2000~ vbucks, thats enough to get me one skin/bundle which is more than enough for me (like the kratos bundle which is 2200) and people in my situation (which is hundreds if not THOUSANDS) are just funneled into this stereotype of "broke" is really belittling and is quite honestly a dumb fucking thing to say. AND saying all of this WHILST being sponsored is so fucking asinine its genuinely mind boggling to me why you would even make this point. I've seen this comment a few times and I think people are missing the point. I'm not calling my audience broke, what I'm saying is that for people who don't have money complaining about item shops is pointless because you can't afford to buy anything in it anyway. It's funny in an ironic way which is why I'm using the broke boy clip. Now of course people are going to take the joke personally and in the worst way, when my core audience knows I'm not calling them broke. Without my audience I wouldn't have the privilege's that I do which is why I give back so much to my audience to show my appreciation. I know that not everyone can afford v bucks and for the ones who can't I provide ways to give them a chance at some. My point is, this wasn't about calling my audience broke, but to highlight a glaring inconsistency in the community, showing that even if the shops are boring and you can't afford anything be happy because it gives you more time to save up. people's income shouldnt be the arguing point of this video. People want to play as their favorite character and it sucks seeing ai generated shops that release the exact same lineup of skins every month. For a game that wants to push a free game that can be a hub to multiple different platforms. People want to look different and be recognizable in their game, they don't want to buy lots of skins with lots of money, they want a good skin they love and can represent themselves with. Just because you don't want to agree with FireMonkey or ITalk about a certain subject, doesn't mean you can make arguments about not being able to afford it. Especially to your viewers or "broke people" as you like to call them, who use your creator code to buy their skins with their income. As someone who really likes your content, i wish for you to look at it differently

They should atleast make it so the multiple pages of Festival items only appear when you are on the Festival gamemode like the Festival pass
They keep those stupid sections where it’s the same cosmetics from a couple of days ago in one section
All it is that I just want some variation in my Item Shop, I once bought an Emote and 5 days later it came back, It should for me just follow a Format of:
- Featured (2 Bundles)
- Daily (2 Bundles, Both less than 2,500 V-bucks, 6 Daily Skins, 4 Daily Emotes)
And for Cosmetics to return they must have not been in the shop for over 30 days
People who dont have vbucks don’t complain about the item shop because they are not going to buy anything anyway

I only have a problem with the item shop because my account got banned back in chapter 2 season 8 and I have been using a season 9 alt ever since and just now I’m starting to collect skins and emotes again to build up my locker but it’s pretty hard because the item shops just don’t change
i can afford skins, but they keep showing the same trash ones. I've been waiting for certain emotes or skins to return, but nope, starwars or superhero nonsense

They could do the same catalog that we had before (when you opened it divided on br, crt and sw) but w all the new modes and add an item shop for all of them
The biggest problems right now with the item shops is the same pool of items rotating in and out within 30 days of eachother.
Old collaborations that have been gone for 500 to over 1000 days for seemingly no reason (Psycho Bandit, Master Chief, Kratos, Snake Eyes etc)
But in terms of the UI, the biggest issue I don't see talked about enough is when Bundles are left out.
Epic literally strongarm you into spending more money if you want a certain set but they don't include the bundle (which we know exists).
I’m a little annoyed because I have like 6,000 vbucks sitting there collecting dust for long stretches of time. Annoyed when only 1 thing changes every time and it’s something I have 0 interest in.

The majority of people complaining DO in fact have V-bucks sitting in there account….and when you want the excitement of getting a new skin to use in your favorite game…and that you spent a lot of money on btw…well then yeah…of course it can be pretty disappointing when the shop keeps rotating the same boring crap.
But ya know…I wouldn’t be complaining either if I got skins for free… but I can bet you’d be complaining too if you didn’t already own a lot of the cool skins we are stuck waiting for.

To be fair, there are people who have the V-Bucks, but also have issues with the item shops. Personally, I do think the item shops has an issue with bringing back the same cosmetics over and over again in a small frame of time without adding something different. And not bringing back bundles & certain cosmetics that are part of the sets is pretty alarming. I'm glad I was able to get the stuff that I wanted out of those item shops, but there has to be more variety in these shops, which I'm glad is happening right now.
Regardless, I agree with everything else & I can see where you're coming from. As the old saying goes: "Good things come to those who wait".
As some who works full time I can afford ever skin I want and it’s genuinely annoys me I feel like epic don’t want my money
Also, there's a ton of good skins already made in save the world. All they gotta do is sell them in the shop. So much potential there.

I understand that people are tired of seeing the same cosmetics more frequently than the typical 30 day rotation, but people really need to stop complaining and expect something new or different in the shop EVERY. SINGLE. DAY.
People want to spend their vbucks and say that no other business does cosmetics better than Fortnite but at the same time, the community as a whole are already spoiled enough as is when it comes to getting and receiving what they want to see and what they are hoping to see. Whether is cosmetics, gameplay changes, content updates, collaborations, etc. It’s just becoming childish at this point.

Inflated rarity is literally a symptom of the less than ideal way Epic handles the item shop.

Although I hope eventually the shops improve (as someone with money and fn crew which gives 1000 vbucks a month) since there is lots of skins epic can bring back which gives lots of excitement and makes epic a ton of money. But I do agree with your point on how sometimes it’s ok to have bad shops. Cause the goods shops just feel so much better after the pit of fire the shops has to go through
The boring periods in the item shop lets me start stacking up vbucks through STW so I'm not mad at it. I just wish they would put more than the same 30 skins in there.

I also think because of the complaining about chapter 4 they also changed the meta we had pumps doing over 200 damage now they’ve changed it doing spray shotguns instead because the community always complain now we got overpowered spray shotguns that don’t take any skill

Its not the fact that anyone can even fucking afford it its the fact that last year, eg, Raptor came out a total of 11 times, thats enough to come out at least ≈ 0.8 times a month. This year he hasnt come out ONCE and we're half way through the damn year. Explain how we shouldnt be mad that fortnite is intentionally gatekeeping items to make people mass buy it out of fear of missing out, in turn making epic games more money that they "need."Personally you can't even say " just a virtual skin in a game" when some people like myself are emotionally attached to characters and we can 100% afford them. Sure call it pathetic but I am nerodivergent I make charactwrs in games my own in turn making them feel like my own and like i should be able to wait just a few months maximum to buy them. Other people can agree im sure.

I buy whatever I want from the shop anytime, I think the problem is the shop is cluttered and too repetitive.
I just want them to rotate through new skins. It’s been like the same skins over and over again. There’s over 1000 skins in the game and they rotate through the same 5 everyday. For example Ruby has came back 6 times in the last like 2 weeks and beefboss has been here for like the last month

Im angry at the item shop cause i have founders pack on stw so i dont have to buy anything but i only remembered about it whwn the item shops where bad
i’m ngl ur points aren’t strong or good calling everyone broke because they can’t afford the items they want to come out is crazy lol ur assuming everyone who wants a good item shop is broke and also u left out the fact that epic releases the same bundles and skins 20 times a month who wants to see the same skins in the item shop every week back then we used to see new skins every shop now it’s marvels, or shi lego variant skins, or other stupid stuff we’ve been seen all week.
For me is worse what they have done with the locker, I am happy the shop is so boring because I don't want new skins I cannot enjoy with the actual locker system. At least the return us the random preset option although is a little incomplete as we cannot relate the skins with the other groups like emotes or wraps.

I don’t get it when people blame LEGO for bad shops, like AT ALL. Sure some skins don’t have a LEGO variant but that doesn’t mean that they won’t ever return. In fact, Eminem and The Weeknd both had skins without LEGO counterparts. Same thing for the Dragon Ball characters who were all just in the shop weeks ago! The only reason the shops could be bad is because of Epic, which we also need to understand they are a busy company. Just saying.

Dude, have you not seen the item shop? They're doing a Marvel item shop right now but a ton of the skins that would normally be there are missing, and the only Marvel skins that actually came to the shop were the ones with lego variants

We are part of the community, Amazing ppl like you and Fortnite love when ppl give praises to Fortnite, BUT when we have negative or trying give are voice how make something better, you all cry that we try give a voice in are opinion...... They can separate everything, instead clumbing stuff together, and they don't bring different skins back, like they use do before lego, i started in C2 S7 and i have 1,437 skins because they use bring old skins back and change there item shop every night, and even had few times section that was 1yr or longer and brought back old skins..... But here last 1yr its been bad item shop....

Epic if if you’re listening, I’m not mad I just would like to see a little bit different variety in the rotation doesn’t have to be necessarily something new, but it would be nice to see some older stuff come back other than skins the basketball skin that I saw a week or two ago, or the army soldier don’t give me wrong it’s cool, but when you keep seeing the same old things over and over again, I can’t really get excited to really get on or be bothered to get on to play because what am I? Yeah the game is good it’s fun but buying skins is kind of part of the experience and I really feel like Fortnite is getting away from that but I don’t know how their sustaining their profit if they’re not, you know, releasing old skins, like long term I feel like this could really hurt their game and revenue flow. I mean they’ll give me wrong I guess investors or somehow hold this game together but you know I really think they should rotate it because it could hurt their business practices long-term.
People who say Epic games are greedy haven’t heard of Activision-Blizzard, epic games has one of the least aggressive monetization systems out of all the recent multiplayer titles in 2024. Because 90percent of the skins are usually 5-12 dollars, which is not bad compared others like Apex, Call of duty, or PUBG.
