- A problem with our house sale and van on the same day! Wild Atlantic way - Ireland van life.
This week we continue our road trip along the wild Atlantic way, the worlds longest coastal driving road. So far our van life in Ireland trip had been going well, after selling our house to live in our self built campervan full time we were doing great, finding amazing wild camping spots and even wild swimming along the way.
But, with all good long term van adventures there's a problem to deal with, this week its our campervan electrical system and then just to boot, there's a problem with our house sale back in the UK. Watch this weeks video to see how we deal with this on the road, in a foreign country, and stay tuned until the end to see Emily getting fully immersed in the Irish culture of cold water swimming in the rough Atlantic sea!

First time I've smiled since Friday, my beautiful dog sadly passed away unexpectedly - we think possible kidney failure. I've been crying non stop since. So lovely to see you two and AJ and Summer having such a great time despite the little bumps in the road. You two always make me smile xx

Don't take this the wrong way! I love the two of you! Your tenacity and never quit attitude is very inspiring! Truly yes I'm older than the two of you, not saying by how much older I am 😊. But what I'm getting at is you've always inspired me to never give up no matter what! When your engine blew up the two of you didn't quit! Penneys is the original Primark. Pennys opened in Dublin in 1969, when they opened in the UK in the 70s they werent allowed use the same name so changed it to Primark.

The end was the best bit for me, I used to do just the same in Wales as a kid, but my family thought I was nuts, in November, while my mam would be wrapped up in a blanket sitting on a deckchair. Those were the days, I'd die of hyperthermia now, I'm an OLE codger. Laughed my head off, Lou's hat wearing, Em's screaming and facial expressions. 😂😂😂

Hey girls, came across your channel and I know the fun and excitement of traveling in a van to new places. I did Australia on my own for a year and loved it, the freedom always something new around the corner, the people, the food amazing landscapes and wonderful night sky's. I loved my little van so much I shipped it home in a container hehe. I am fascinated to see how everything develops with your' house hunting.. I live south side of Dublin so if you are ever up this way I'd be delighted to make ya a cuppa an cake lol. Swimming in cold water is incredible 😊 I lived in Lake Tahoe for 8 years, and we locals would always swim in the dead of winter in the snow 😊😊 So miss those days, it really gets your heart pumping😂 At my age now it would probably stop it 😂😂😂 Safe Travels ❤️🤍💙

I'm loving your Ireland adventures. But you wouldn't catch me in that water ,not for love nor money lol. Very brave girls lol.
I enjoy your travels in Ireland especially in u camper in Tralee but the weather is the same in England and Ireland and waste and bins in the towns are not to be used with domestic rubbish .this is to be disposed in city dump or big compressed bins where they charge u 6 euro per large bag. Land fill is measured by weight..also u see u are living in Ireland now and euros are using so 30 euro was not dear what I bought .enjoy ireland

Off-grid means off the public water and electricity grids
The PCB in the B2B looks fine. If the overheating had caused an issue the PCB itself would be darkened. The large blobby looking solder (and a bit of darker flux residue) is to increase the current rating of that part of the PCB. Its fine :)
Selling houses is so stressful - it will sort I’m sure.

Replace that unit that solder melted for a reason, its not flux, and if it was then thats a shoddy job having so much flux. It’s failed, get rid and replace it with a decent branded one before you set ya self on fire. Not worth the risk girls!

Yeah those Sterling B2B are a pain to configure (and re-configure) and I know you know that. I replaced with Victron Smart that configures over Bluetooth which is so nice. Tin foil is for tweakers. Hate tweakers. Always be ready - you guys are smart.

You know guys that you can get rid of all your recycling for 2e at any environment centre. Primark is Pennys. It's an Irish Company originally but we just kept the original name.

Hi guys, looks like you`re becoming more and more Irish as the weeks go by. Hope you can find somewhere to get the B2B sorted, the solder on the back of the unit looks toast!. If your house sale is completed in the next couple of weeks that will be great, it can take up to 12 weeks to sell/buy a house in Ireland, paperwork is a nightmare and make sure you get a great solicitor that will be familiar with the area you plan to buy in. Always disconnect the negative or earth connection on the battery first. That way if you inadvertently short your spanner to the van bodywork you won’t get a blinding blue flash and a shower of sparks!

Your B&B Transistors would be darker and possibly have brittle charcoal surfaces if not missing tiny chunks if they were bad. I would say, installing it up front was genius but next to the floor is asking for fur balls. Can you create a cover with screens to stop the fur from getting in the fan blades? Check for Emily's hair wrapped around the fan shaft too.

My dad was a bit of a hippy, longish hair, wore a hat or cap or bandanna every day. Late 50s he suddenly started losing a band of hair above the ears and around the back, still had all his hair on top and scraggly bits below. It happened quickly and the follicles were permanently buggered. Look up traction alopecia. Mentioning this because I worry about that permanent hat.
