HOUSE SALE PROBLEMS ESCALATE - SUSPENDING IRELAND ROAD TRIP ALTOGETHER!
After dealing with some problems selling our house back in the UK we thought we had it sorted. We were finally ready to give up our tiny home in the UK so we could start our off grid home search for a cottage, or abandoned farm, here in Ireland. However, it's still not yet to be as the problems getting our house sale through just keep coming.
We've been living in our van full time here in Ireland for a little while now and are having a great time exploring the wild Atlantic way, this week we pick up the ring of Kerry, starting in Killarney national park. Hopefully we are showing you the amazing scenery Ireland has to offer and we are enjoying travelling and wild camping here, but with all this going on in the background we need to just stop for a little bit, for how long we do not yet know...

Hopefully you are enjoying this European travel series as much as we are and we are managing to show you just some of the stunning landscapes that France has to offer in this French travel vlog.
As usual, we have tried to include a bit of everything, some cinematic scenery mixed with our usual female van life foolery, we always love hearing what you lot think in the comments so do let us know, and as always, thank you for watching!
Follow us on our journey as we attempt to create a proper youtube travel series as we, two female travelers and vanlifers, attempt to travel across Europe in our rolling tiny home.

You girls do what you need to do and take time for each other. We will look forward to your next video whatever it is and enjoy it. Would be nice to see house searches though - just saying. Hope everything works out for you.
Loved your latest video! While you’re in Ireland, you should visit Westport House and grounds in Westport, County Mayo. It was built by and belonged to the real life 16th Century Pirate Queen - Grace O’Malley. She was a woman not to mess with! I’ve been, I think you’d both absolutely love the place and its history - you’ve even got the fire tinged/burnt ships flags hanging in the entrance lobby/staircase area. Well worth a visit! Andrew
Thanks for another great video ...If you get time visit Clifden Connemara and Roundstone at Dogs Bay ..was a great site there have fun
Great video girls
buy any change wear you girls on holiday in Spain 4 weeks ago ?
This content is better than anything on the "telly" and you guys are both more charismatic than a bus full of TV talent. I'll watch and enjoy the house-hunting and anything filmed by Louise is like a cross between a 1970 BBC documentary and something dreamed up by Kubrick.
Thanks 😀
I'm happy to watch anything you four do ,I just love your videos and my partner and me have just bought a bungalow and it was a no chain , cash purchase so should have been easy , but no it took six months ,so we sympathise with you totally , you will get there in the end, Oh and we got to nearly throttling each other but alls good now😂😂 much love from Ann and me.xx❤❤
Agree!
@@campervibe you are a breath of. Fresh air
Agree
Louise: your photography and videography skills are unparalleled! Wow! Plus you two are so cute together. Thank you for the fun & adventures. Good luck 😅 (Canadian-van camper-owner-chick-couple here 😊)
Thank you
Ooooh I’m nosey! I’m up for as much house hunting as you’re prepared to share!
Hope the house sale sorts itself out promptly
I love property searches!!! Please do show us if you can 🙂
We will 😀
@@campervibe Yep, we all wanna see what's out there ... 🏠🏡🏠
I want to see all of the house searching, including every room in each house, attics and cellars/ outbuildings/ sheds, and all of the renovation ideas you guys have for each place on first sight off the top of your head! 😆
The Mrs and me watch loads of van life videos but yours are exceptional. Informative, entertaining and funny all rolled into one..absolutely brilliant 👏
Thank you, glad you enjoy them
Emily,u might consider using PARCHMENT PAPER as a lining in ur baking pans. It helps with baked goods not overly browning and makes it much easier to get out of the pan. Just make sure u leave a lip over the pan so u can just pull it out. 🤩
I normally do but I had ran out so improvised 😂
I’m so sorry, but i can see innuendo in this comment, however i don’t want to turn someone else’s comment into smut (Emily, just make sure your lips are in the correct position so you can pull it out!)😂
You make me very proud to be from Ireland. As to the wildlife. While we were in France this year I noticed there were no song birds like home. And now you tell me we are unusual in Ireland. Xxxxxxxxx
I know how frustrating selling a house in the UK is. I tried to sell my Dads house from abroad! It took a year of fussy potential buyers, wanting this and that changed. In the end I said sod it and stopped worrying about it. Then a cash buyer came along and it sold for five thousand quid over the asking price! Crazy! To me it was a sign that It was waiting for the right family to love it!😂😂
Yeah I like them little signs
Well ladies I've had a crap week and look forward to seeing you both on a Sunday to keep my spirits up. As usual Lou you have produced high value content and Em shows us her cooking skills. Now I am being serious, you both need to find a house with land and open a camp site. Not only will you have an income,, but Lou could offer courses in van conversion and videography and Em could organise events and courses on van life cooking and presentation. Each week I'm blown away by both your determination and belief in what you do. You are both beautiful human beings. Stay safe❤
Aw thank you 😊
Beautiful scenery, beautiful music, and beautiful people (you two). This one is special. AJ and the kitty bouncing beside the pumpkin are adorable, too! The house snafu will work out! ❤
Paperwork is beyond frustrating when you're reliant on other people pulling their fingers out. Sometimes you want to just put it in someone's hand and literally pull their hand towards the other person's hand and make them exchange it or it just won't get done. Ahhhhhhh! I feel your pain. Fish and chips, cafes and cake shops sounds like a cracking plan for the meantime. Fingers crossed xxx Oh and Louise, I forgot to say how awesome the stag and deer shots were, especially when he 'roared' not sure what you'd call it lol
Oh I know it’s like just sort it out 😂
Bring on the house search content! Sending all the good house-sale mojo! 🤞🏻
I was just waiting for the voice of Sir David to purr into the background, describing the wildlife...
Yes yes yes to the new house tours…and altho you’re running into frustrations, you have a plan in place to proceed as planned, so you’re doing the right things to get the problem sorted. Everything will work out! Lots of luck to you!
I've found out this year that there are "carving" pumpkins and "eating" pumpkins. The "eating" ones are grown for their better flavour.
Love all the photography shots Lou and Emily's fun facts. Ireland looks beautiful and if I had my time again I wouldn't think twice about house hunting there myself. Anyway if it is meant to be it will be and I wish you every bit of luck in the world that your house sale goes through asap. 🤞🤞
Thanks 😊
Cheese cake meant to go brownish a little around the edges- best cheesecake is BAKED in my view! Why a low cal version? Cheesecake is meant to be made properly - no silly diet versions!
Lou you are now a pro with your videos, excellent editing.
Yes definitely share the house viewing with us x
I did the Ring of Kerry a few years back, and dare I say - in bright sunshine. We had vague plans to move from industrial Yorkshire to get out of the pollution so a lot of the cottages and house we saw for sale were very tempting. We totally fell in love with that part of Ireland. I am loving this series of videos in Ireland. Sorry about the house problems. If you are cash buyers that can raise all sorts of problems, especially proving it was not stolen or obtained through fraud. Painful. Hope it works out for you.
Irish house sellers and estate agents ❤ cash buyers!
WOW Brilliant Stag shot !!
I am an Estate Agent and feel your pain. These things seem to happen a lot, it’s very frustrating for us too as we just want to get an exchange and completion as soon as possible. Obviously, because of my job I would love to see the properties you view! Got everything crossed 🤞🏻 good luck xxx
Great video again. Storm Ciaran is expected to hit by Wednesday.
I hope the house sale goes through asap. I'd love to see loads of homes for sale... X
Another cracking video We live in Northern Ireland and put our house up for sale just as Covid struck. The man put the sign up and that was it. Nobody could come to view. When the all clear was announced we had a couple who came and loved the bungalow. Within a week we had struck lucky and sold our house and bought a smaller bungalow. We moved on the wettest day of the year. Everything got soaked. Good luck with the sale.
I’m glad you guys got it sold 🙂
Another great video, especially the wildlife pics. Would love to see a montage of your stills at the end of your videos. Best of luck with the house sale getting done and do what's best for yourselves. All us fans will be here when you get back to making vids.
Thanks
House suggestion peak district 😮
Another gr8 vlog ladies. I really hope your house sale gets sorted, there’s nothing more frustrating than house sales. Maxx
23:23 when we came to Australia in 1967 we kept our house in Ashtead Surrey for over two years before selling it.
Fortunately neither of My Parents had to return to the UK to complete the transaction.
Whether you're buying or selling in the UK, it's always super stressful. I really admire you both for keeping so calm about it all, I would be tearing my hair out! The property hunting is my favourite bit though, love looking through property websites and would definitely be really keen to see your experiences with that if you're happy to share. The places you visited in this video looked amazing, one for my next trip to Ireland! (And amazing video and camera work as ever, Louise) 🤩
Oh it’s been a testing one
The pumpkins on your heads.....love that vlog but you guys should watch the Dark Harvest film just released! It's you too! 😊😅❤
What a great shot of the red stag! 💙
Yes, really fabulous
Thanks, she spent a lot of hours waiting for him 😂 but totally worth it
It will sell , it will sell , it will sell … sending luck from Yorkshire xx
We spent 8 week’s touring Scotland earlier (which included) the Outer Hebrides this year and we both said that we’d move there at the drop of a hat, so I know exactly what you’re feeling when it just feels right! … Hope you get things sorted🤞❤️
Yeah sometimes you just know
Well done Louise, you are a very talented sculptor because that pumpkin really looks like Emily 😂😂
Amazing drone shots and wildlife is incredible! Appreciate your patience. Looked a bit scary being all by yourself in the mountains and that eerie sound from the deer. Good luck with the house sale, and “yes” please include us in your house search 🏡 👀
Fingers crossed your house sells. Would love to see all the property searching you guys do🙌😁
I made a pumpkin soup with onion, garlic, ginger, stock, carrots and as I had a spare courgette, I chucked that in to. All blended together, it was amazing!!
Yeah sounds nice 👌
You would love BC Canada for wildlife photography. In the spring I sit on my deck and in one day I will usually see eagles, turkey buzzards, feral peacocks and feral turkeys with their babies, ravens, deer (last spring twin fawns were born and raised on our 1/3 acre lot)... I'm addicted to the Merlin Bird ID app and have identified 20 species of birds from my own yard! We also get cougars and bears here occasionally when they swim over from Vancouver Island to the rural gulf island where we live, but I've never seen them myself. Whale and orca sightings are always exciting when on the salish sea. My auntie and I see otters and seals all the time on our oceanside walks. It's truly incredible! I grew up on the Alberta prairies, but have lived on the BC coast for 20 years now, and the beauty here never gets old.
Oh god yeah both me and Lou would love it, we are right bird nerds 😂
Shot of the stag was worth your waiting for... beautiful.. stunning..
Sooo want to see the properties. Nosey around the rooms, gardens etc would be great. Fab camera work Louise capturing the stag magical. Visited the same waterfall many years ago, forgot about those steps.
I’d watch vlogs on mooching around houses all day long. Good luck 🍀🍀🍀🍀
Please do show us the property searches!
Have you ever tried a platform between the seats for AJ to sit on so he doesn't have to crane to see over the dash?
We have thought about it to be fair 🤣
Brilliant, I'm so glad you went to Killarney, especially that you went to both Torc Waterfall and Lady's View. They were some of my best memories of visiting the area, and your visit has refreshed them for me. 😊
Fingers crossed ❤ Brilliant photo as always Louise👌🏻
No doubt by now your trip with the new documents has been completed, but could the Solicitors in Cork not have DX'ed the document to your Solicitor in the UK?
😂😂 yeah we wish, nope documents are still missing. I expect that could have for a small fortune but was told that the postal would be fine but unfortunately the Royal Mail are just not on it at the moment even after sending the documents, tracked, signed, special delivery 🙈
@@campervibe so, Kerry airport to Dublin, Ryanair to UK?
Always fancied Kerry's ring.
Magnificent!
Please please please show us the properties. What you love what you hate what you’re on the fence about, how much…pretty please.
Try spraying your hats with Scotchguard! Makes them water-phobic and they stay a lot cleaner too...
You show our little island in all its glory. Thank you! ❤
It’s easy to do in a wonderful place like Ireland 😀
Your footage of the stag and his girls..awsome!
Loads of property search content please guys! 🎉
I'll happily watch the house searching/viewing. I hope you take us with you on that journey too!
Epic wildlife intro! Dang, hate that the house sale is giving you grief! Can't wait to see house tours on your adventure!
hope the house sale gets squared away and you can enjoy a relaxing week of vacation😀
This October in ireland was the warmest and wettest in many years. We usually have a few frosty days mixed in with the rain.
😂 The pumpkin wobbling on the bed 😂 💕🙏 the shot I didn't know I needed to see 😅
😂😂🙌🙌🎃
Weather has been wild 😮.. great you can take the animals into the National Parks🎉
Yeah the national parks seem to be ok for the dogs 😀
I love looking for properties especially in my two favorite places and two favorite ladies!
When my Mom died we needed to find my brother, a vulnerable person, somewhere to live as the family home was far too big. We found him a great vacant little bungalow in mid February and, with him being a cash buyer, we had hopes of exchanging by Easter and doing a bit of building work & decorating and getting him in by Whitsun. Then the target slipped to the start of the school holidays, then the end of the holidays and finally he exchanged during October half term. By the time we could rebook the builders and do the decorating we managed to get him in a few weeks before Christmas.
Both our solucitors and the sellers solicitors were crap. They would sit on stuff for weeks, we would take forms in and they would lose them and all this time we were paying out about £1500 a month on the big house whereas the bungaow comes in at a third of that.
It also meant that we had to delay emptying and tarting up the family home so the startbof that sale was hld up by a year.
Fcuking solicitors.
It’s so frustrating
Nice haircut Emily, great scenery, great photography Louise, Ireland really is beautiful 🇦🇺👍🏼😘
Love how you cut your videos, another great one and a stunning looking area... thankyou
Sneem is a brilliant village nice food and Dan Murphy's pub. And please we Coach drivers go clockwise around the Ring of Kerry.
Love this as life is real whatever is going on we try to carry on. Laughter is always a great cheer up and the beautiful views are absolutely gorgeous. I thinks if I brought a house there it would have to have the outside painted as I,m loving them houses
In America the eating pumpkins are different from the carving pumpkins. They are smaller and you eat the flesh, rather than the stringy insides. The seeds are nice, washed, dried, seasoned and roasted. Having just sold a house in the US while living in Portugal I feel your pain!
I need to try it again now 😀
Smeen was are first stop in Ireland, and one of the best, love that you found it too.
Absolutely fantastic photography Louise!
Man, never heard of a house sale taking so long. Definitely not normal in Canada. Straightforward sales take a week!!! I want to see your house searches fer sure! Best luck with the deal. Git 'er done Emily!!!
Yes, absolutely unbelievable all the nonsense you have to go through back home! It's quite simple here in Ontario.
It’s so annoying 😔
It took many months in France, but only a mere 30 days from offer to closing to sell house in CA.
The Stag - AMAZING X
Looks like Soouth Shields pier at the start, took one hell of a battering last week. My hometown, they are still searching for the top of the lighthouse.
My mother was always getting lost. No google maps back then. Me had a rule. If you take a wrong road, never turn back unless its a cul-de-sac !! Needless to say ive seen most of the countryside ! Many adventures!
Love that 😀
Try adding ginger to your pumpkin soup it makes all the difference
More amazing scenery (I really want to say the 's' word 🤭), quite the photographers dream. This house sale must be incredibly frustrating. It isn't easy when you are there, let alone abroad. But, I'm up for any nosing round property that you care to throw our way. Enjoy a week or so together.
😂 it’s hard not to say it
Wish you both well
Top notch video again! The combination of the beautiful wildlife and music is so great!
Every single home please! So exciting!!
Fingers crossed ladies and I sensed the need to vent. On property searches - yes please!
Oh wow wow wow your photography is absolutely fantastic 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👌🏻
Good luck girls.... we're sure it will all work out...... good things come to good people!
Alex weather station should be on Main Stream. Bloody brilliant 🤩. Great watch as always ❤
Many thanks for showing us Ireland 🇮🇪 as I would love to visit with my camera.
I have been watching Gavin Hardcastle phototripper UA-cam channel.
The scenery is stunning, and looking forward to see more of Ireland 🇮🇪.
I hope the house sale gets sorted out, and being a Brit I k kw how difficult it is to buy and sell home in UK!
I hope you take us with you when you're looking for houses or land whatever it is please don't take to long off vlogging and I hope the sale of your house goes through
Pleae keep posting, even if only short ones about the house sale. I would really miss my weekly fix of your witty commentary and brilliant photography. Theres nothing on the mainstream TV to beat it.
I am not even a vanlifer, though have used a motorhome for holidays since before you were born.
We are back today, so not really gone anywhere 😂
Emily , I add red lentils ,apple , onion , garlic, curry, cardemom and lemonbalm to the pumpkinsoup
Lots of good luck on the housesale!! And yes to the show-us-everything-looking-for-a-new-house-stuff!! 👏👏👏
I'll watch & love anything you guys put out. Re house hunt, take a tip from an old Aussie, there are many beautiful places to live, but find one that has a good community where you feel comfortable & a part of. ❤
Aw guys how frustrating with the house, I don’t understand why they take so long. Hope it’s gone to plan now. Enjoy your week off together. I’m nosey so I’d love to see the house hunting.
Goosey Island CC Aire in Sneem is super! We’ve stayed there & chose the same pitch as you did. Great village with a community garden project. Enjoy. 😊
I'm addicted to looking at property, pls show all you can😊. Things will be fine🙏
When we send business post we use a courier. It costs a little more but if they DO lose our documents they admit it's been lost way faster.
Loving seeing Ireland, the wife and I visited UK and Europe back in June/July and visited Ireland as well, stayed at Killarney and drove the Ring of Kerry in one of these tour coaches (not buses) , had a "jaunty horse and carriage ride" around Killarney , had lunch in Sneem and saw the views from Ladies View, which is named after the Ladies in Waiting of Queen Victoria , who stayed in the now abandoned house just down from the cafe, cheers, Garry from DownUnder (hope the house sale gets sorted)
I absolutely love the area you visited, you picked a cracking place
From a couple who moved from Kent to Carrigaholt in Co Clare we cannot recommend Ireland enough for a place to live.
So much so both sets of parents also made the move from Kent and my sister too.
We never want to go back, cheaper coast of living and amazing community friendly feel.
You will love Ireland 🙂
That is lovely to hear 😀
I loved the clip of Summer & Frank the pumpkin on the bed moving their heads together... That was awesome! ☺👏
I’d love to see you look at properties in Ireland. As it hun something we have been thinking about. Good luck in all that you do. Love watching you both. Make me smile every time I watch your blogs . Xxx
Good luck girls
Look in Donegal extremley cheap and beautiful, and great beaches.
Sligo also good price
Wicklow best of sea and Mountains mix.
Wexford and Waterford good villages and easy to get to know people, and good prices. look at Newross great town on the sea.
😊😊😊
Glad you are enjoying Ireland hope you find a place here 🎉🎉
An old farm
There are so many places to look and so far we love every area we have been to 🤣🙈
Erm regarding the house hunting - must show us all of them its a part of our love for you two that we get to appreciate the good ones and the wrecks you wouldnt touch in a million years. We dont want our favourite ladies buying a money pit in a foreign country. Make the hunt fun but dont fall in love with the first pile of old stones you see.:)
We will show you 😀
