This is a delightful little scene, but when did Jamie stop needing spectacles himself? Wasn't he using reading specs when Claire first traveled back and found him in that printing shop (and Jamie fainted)?
Not many know this but a lot of Jamie’s dialogue comes courtesy of Diana’s own husband who is Scottish I believe his name is Doug Watkins just a fact so this banter must be how the two of them are together maybe ? 😊
This exchange between Jamie and Claire is a very comfortable married couple conversation. It’s good not to see Cait with a sad face as there has been many so far this season. The season has really moved through a lot of storyline and been great.
But I think he’s saying she needs glasses for reading, whereas her previous glasses were to see long distance… sounds like she needs bifocals…. that being said, GOOD MEMORY!
@@imogenonscreen8054 Yes, thanks. Didn't occur to me. Definitely not a vanity thing because as a surgeon, she knows how crucial her eyesight would be to surgery. Don't know if you read the books but I just remembered there is a scene where after they return to Scotland and Jamie does get her her new glasses. 👍
@@jonyrey8078 Well that means the song was at least another year coming out.. Besides its 1978. MacKenzie came back from 1778. The stones are 200 years.
@@terrywalker9092 Yes but if you look at the children when they first came through the stones to now, you will notice a few years have gone by. The children are older now so the time line is correct. Plus if you go back and watch episode 4 it displays 1980 when they first purchase the home so maybe a few months have gone by and it’s 1981 currently in the show. At the end of the day it’s just a show 😅 which will still be great even if the time line is off.
Not all. I had Lasik surgery about 20 years ago, and when they asked if I wanted to have it done so I would not need reading glasses, I declined. And it turns out that one eye has worsened over the years in just such a way that I don't need reading glasses. I have no idea what would have happened if I had accepted, but my doctor said it is possible that I would have needed them. You just never know how things will turn out.
I just saw the new episode And i hav tā say Jamie & Clare And thera strong Love n connection ❤ As for Buck Mackenzie i really like him…Rob on the other hand Man of untruths frm his beginning!! Takn Jemmy like he did is really a hateful thing cant wait till Next episode ❤
That's as it should be. "On June 14, 1777, the Continental Congress authorized the creation of the first original national flag. The resolution states “Resolved, That the flag of the thirteen United States be thirteen stripes, alternate red and white; that the union be thirteen stars, white in a blue field, representing a new constellation.” The Flag Resolution of 1777 did not specify what how the stars in the blue canton of the flag should be arranged, simply that there should be 13 of them to represent the number of states in the Union. That led to there being some differentiation in the flags that were used during that time." The first battle of Saratoga was fought in September of that year; the second battle in October. It makes sense that the rebel forces in that camp would be flying the new flag.
Regarding the new photos with the red-haired girl... (I won't say who it is, I don't want to dare spoilers) what happened to the confidentiality agreements? Must be starz to manage and publish the news, not a little girl on his profile or the agency ... so they advertise. This represents some of Starz's problems. "but yes... do as you like"
@@enricospoti7031 you seem to be more worried than Starz is. If it was a problem, Starz would have made her mother take the photos down. They didn’t. It’s not a spoiler since Starz has pretty much provided us with all, if not most of the new cast members for season 7.

I know it's a small moment but these little bit are what makes Jamie and Claire's love story so special
And a little thing from the book which I didn’t expect. ❤
I agree. Makes it very real.
I've always felt that way going back to season 1.
This is a delightful little scene, but when did Jamie stop needing spectacles himself? Wasn't he using reading specs when Claire first traveled back and found him in that printing shop (and Jamie fainted)?
Dokładnie,
Aww these two are still so cute together. Also I love Jamie's little criticism of the book cause it's a nice reminder that he used to be a printer.
How is this so cute? Why am I smiling so much? It's literally just a tiny scene, but it made me verrah happy, indeed!
Love this little scene from the book. These two are adorable together.
Another wonderful passage straight from the book! Thank you Diana Gabladon ❤️

I love a man who knows his fonts ❤
He was a printer 😂
In the book this scene and the one where Claire buys her spectacles are among my favourites
I love how 7 seasons in and they still do such a great job with these sweet little scenes! ❤️
I love how he recognizes the type from having the print shop way back when 😂❤ god, I love them so much. How they tease each other.

Claire did wear glasses when she drove to visit Lallybroch in the 20th century. 🤓
Yeah for driving so I don't think it's a vanity thing, Claire probably thinks they can't afford them.
But I think he’s saying she needs glasses for reading, whereas her previous glasses were to see long distance… sounds like she needs bifocals…. that being said, GOOD MEMORY!

on the other hand, those glasses from the 60s looked fabulous on her, while the 18th century version will look less so.
I thought about that on my second rewatch that it was weird she just stopped wearing them 😂
My favorite couple! I can't wait to see Outlander Episode 7! Still going to be amazing and fantastic! 😍🥰🙌❤️❤️❤️
One of my favorite scenes
Thiis is such a little moment that fills our hearts...xoxoooo I love them ..xoxox and what about Jamie where are his glasses?
I wish they would bring back some of the love scenes which is what made this a beautiful story.
Age has nothing to do with love between two people.
Who can say no to this smile.
The song "Into the Air Tonight " wasn't released until 1981. At least 3 years before this time line. 😮
In episode 4 they were already in 1980.

Her eyesight is not perfect, which is the point, not the specs.

I love how they are just little buddies now.
She wore those Chinese glasses in 1968 for driving, come on now!
How come Claire was wearing glasses in season two while visiting Scotland with Brianna, now it's ten years later and she needs glasses.
Me, when I realized I needed bifocals…
What about the US flag flying inthe background???

I’m sure she was authorized to post those pictures which were obviously taken many months ago.
@@j9now433 the episode is not out yet. Starz decides spoilers. Not a kids agency or a young actress
If she posted those pictures it means she's been given the go-ahead from STARZ. They were taken nearly a year ago, after all.

Jesus Christ is my Lord and Savior. Jesus Christ saved me and can save you too. John 3:16
Why would writers waste time on this silly scene and in so doing forfeit more meaningful dialogue-- same thing with the “Apple” scene
