Simple answer: companies care more about statistics and profit than maximizing the potential and morale of each technician. “It’s a privilege, not an entitlement.” And we wonder why techs are leaving the industry? It’s a privilege to hire technicians, not an entitlement.
Doesnt make sense to me on internal vs external price. I would make internal work bill at cost. Keeps techs busy with flexible work and dealer knows real cost of inventory. This is the only reason i want to open a shop.
Our techs have 3 stalls and still complain about not having enough stalls even though they only pull 200% on a good day. Got one tech who makes well over 6 figures then whines about his paychecks to people who are making 1/3rd of what he makes 😂 funny people
That’s very typical of techs, the more you give the more we will take if we have 2 bays we will complaint we need an extra flat space, if we average 65 hours a week we will complain if it drops to 63 hours
@@ubuntumike5794 I always like to tell them they grew up rich and privileged. They love when I say that. I’ve learned to be grateful for what I have and try to thank God everyday for every little blessing; so when I hear people who make 30-50k more than I do per year talking about their check not being good enough it makes me realize how some people never actually had it hard.
