Been using logic for like 2 years. Decided to come back to this.....Everybody make sure you review the "Keys" section and also the part where he mentions altering the play button function in the control bar!!!
Call me crazy, but I’m loving starting at the beginning w you because you’re so thorough and a great teacher… That I find myself re-learning or learning things that I must’ve skipped when I first started logic a few years ago. Sometimes it’s just great to go back to the drawing board. I’m really digging this series and I know when you get deeper I’m gonna have to hit rewind a bunch of times but I look forward to it! Thanks so much, Chris! ✊🏼✨🔥
I got started a bit late but I'm working through the series and I couldn't be any more impressed,. This is proving to be an indispensable aid to furthering my understanding of Logic. Starting from ground zero and building up from there with the foresight of your total understanding of Logic is manna from heaven for the prospective Logic user! Thanks for taking the time to put this out, your sage advice is much appreciated.
Comma / period = rewind / forwards Shift + Comma / Period = 8 bars of rewind / forwards Shift Space = Play from selection Return = play from beginning L = Loop Control U = Loop Selection R = Record at playhead Shift Click = move playhead to wherever you clicked.
This is *excatly* the video I was looking for. I'm good with music and experienced with other DAWs (FL Studio, Ableton Live), but brand new to Logic Pro and I need to speed up my "power user" workflow. Amazing content, glad I found your channel and have subscribed!
@11:53 Chris mentions using Marquee selections. You must first choose Navigate > Auto Set Locators > Enable Auto Set Locators to have the cycle area "follow" any selection you make with the marquee. Took me a few minute of googling to figure this one out!
When this series started I didn’t bother watching it because I’ve been using [read: fumbling around with] Logic for years. But this is only #7 and already I’m learning things I didn’t know. I just wish this series had been around when I was a complete beginner.
You mention in vid #8 that the file used is one by Mark Robson that comes with Logic, and that you mentioned it the previous vid, this one, but I don’t see where you do and I can’t find the file on my hard drive it. Where should it be?

I was wondering why you only record-enabled one track and what that does - complete beginner

What do I do if logic is not showing me the tracks to my project? Just shows transport buttons
