Another amazing piece, brother. Give the main solo for “On The Turning Away” a try. Another one with some tough bends. In my opinion one of his best and most underrated works. Keep up the great videos!!!
This sounds great. I'm curious though, did you consider using a lighter gauge of string to make the bends a bit easier? Also, I'd be curious whether you could run the microphone through a compressor (or sustain) effect to give you some sustain. Might be an interesting experiment.
Check out Comfortably Numb, with both solos, in a chord melody style, WITH percussion, on one guitar "Kelly Valleau Comfortably Numb"...you're welcome.
The reason really comes down to the string he's playing and what feels natural in the moment. On the higher strings, like the B and high E, you typically bend upward because it’s easier to push the string toward the center of the fretboard without it slipping off the edge. On the lower strings, like the low E or A, you usually tend to bend downward because pushing upward feels awkward and there’s less space to work with. Ultimately, it’s all about comfort and practicality, but in terms of the sound, both bends achieve the same pitch change.
Nailed the bending parts... Amazing
Thank you! 🙌
You are the Bruce Lee of Guitar Mastery, just freaking amazing. If I could bend like that, I wouldn't be on a monthly Back medication for 7 years.

Gilmour is my favorite guitarist. And now you're the second! Haha
love the ending 1:26
Wonderful
So beautiful. Amazing work.
Thank you so much 😀
Ficou sensacional!!! Parabéns!!!
Muito obrigado! 🙌
Nailed it! Nice work, sir.
Glad you liked it!
1:25 is my favourite lick of this whole solo (not particularly this version) well played.
This literally made me start crying @1;00, but I don't feel ashamed.
☺️🙌
What gauge strings do you have? Sounds great!👏🏻👏🏻
.011-.052! Thanks!
Two of those bends and my crappy guitar is out of tune 😭

We need to send this to David Gilmoure :) :) Could you share which guitar you're playing on ?
It's a Crafter HG500. Thanks!
I always preferred this solo to Comfortably Numb.
Great work ! What gauge do you use ?
.011-.052! Thanks!!
@ strong fingers ! 💪🏻
why do you sometimes bend upward, and then the next time downward? Is there any difference? Thanks

@BMegda Perfect. Thanks!
If you keep doing these bends , you will soon need a neck reset 😅
Awesome ❤❤❤
😅 Thanks!

Sounds excellent. What kind of guitar do you play?
