I canned this this morning and it looks wonderful! I measured my cabbage to 6 pounds and packed it down in the jars just like you did. However, I ended up with 10 pints and one little 1/2 pint to send to my sweet mother in law. I had to double the brine but that wasn’t a problem. I think it is going to taste wonderful this winter. How long do you wait to try it? I thought it was easy to do. Except finding the allspice berries. I had to go all over town! Ha!
I waited a few weeks but I don’t think that’s necessary ,,,, it is so good ! I found my all spice berries at a Amish market and I buy the rare things there and vacuum seal them just for these kind of recipes! It’s not necessarily a hard recipe but a lot of steps ,,lol ,,,,,,,, thank you for watching !
