Those saying that aMSa wasn't playing at his peak is not why he lost. He was destroying everyone aside from Mango all weekend. But part of competition is that sometimes a player's situation will not be ideal and keep in mind sometimes the reason a person appears not to be at their best can be because of their opponent pressuring them. Plus Mango was playing amazing all weekend too, only dropping 5 games. Also the way he played here compared to their previous sets it's apparent he worked on the matchup as Mango didn't choose options to give aMSa many openings to capitalize on.
I think those who cite aMSa not playing his peak in this set are also ignorant to just how good mango's defensive mix-ups can be as well. Everyone sees him as the custom kid, but people honestly sleep on his defense.

Think we're gonna see a big arms race in future Mango vs Amsa sets. Both are heavily innovating the match-up now. The things that worked today will not work next time.

I won't lie I am one of those guys. But not because I don't think Fox was the right answer, I just never saw him do it and wondered how Falco would do.
Mango had the discipline here, I just remembered Mango saying that Falco made him play smarted and more disciplined so I thought it would've been better vs aMSa, but here he stopped being so stubborn and proved he could play the matchup for sure.
I haven't seen aMSa flub that many edgeguards in years. At 12:38, he literally could have put the controller down and it would have worked out better than what he did.
For sure his missed opportunities were all missed edgeguards. He ended up having to keep killing him off the top because he couldn't close the edgeguards.
And Mango fullfilled his promise. He said He would beat Amsa again. And that was fast. Like people used to say in 2014, NO JHONS, please. Amsa LOST. Mango was better. That's all.
many easy mistakes like false roll decisions or missed edge guards by amsa. As an amateur yoshi player even I saw it. But thanks to the major win he kept pushing...though it wasn't enough this time

@@daniele.2944 Yeah but remember that part of ppl flubbing against Mango is that he makes them similar to Summit 11 Zain I feel since he played much better against Cody and Leffen in bracket but yeah I think Amsa will play better under pressure next time but Mango is known for causing ppl to flub a lot especially in the later parts of tournaments where players start to get more tired that being said I also think Mango will keep working on this matchup as he seems to rn hate losing to Amsa the most

It's like PP would say to Mango "Maybe you're just playing bad because I'm making you play bad." Also, definitely aMSa is the one he really wants to beat now, him, and Zain, because he started the second half down 0-3 vs Zain. But aMSa more because Mango really wanted to win Big House, and it was so obvious, you can see it by looking at Mango after Grands of TBH, once you see Mango on the camera again, he has his head down and his hands on his head. I've never seen Mango like that after losing in Grands, and then Mango got emo at Ludwig's after losing to aMSa. Those 3 sets this year also meant that Mango lost 5 sets straight to aMSa
@@Michael-hc2hp Yeah I was just using Mango examples but yeah I think as a whole against Zain u can take 2 fd games as Fox but u have to make him crack something that I feel only Mango and Cody are good enough to do also yeah for Zain they really want to beat each other because they see each other as their biggest rival even after Genesis, Pound, and Summit 13 Zain still said he wanted to play Mango the most and yeah also I think Mango also didnt like the summit 11 and 12 sets him and Amsa played despite not as much since Ik he says he played bad during both (tbf non losers bracket summit 11 and 12 Mango was playing pretty bad)
