Cool featured champions this time. They both get good numbers and have viable niches. Umberto is a little dull since his highest damage potential is time gated, but at least speed potions and background party shenanigans can boost him up faster. Aeon's patron related abilities are cool and potentially a life line for difficult variants. It looks like she'll cycle through Mirt-Vajra-Strahd-Zariel-Elminster repeatedly in that order, which is probably the least interesting way for her to work but offers some consistency at least. It does mean that players who don't have all patrons unlocked will find her kind of useless for weeks at a time, but unlocking patrons should be a main goal of new players anyway. Yeah, the flex options are a little lack luster in this event. I agree with your top picks. People who are planning to pay for an extra slot should probably choose Nahara since she is a good speed champion who is not dependent on item levels and has utility for Strahd variants. Deekin, Xander, Walnut, and Knox are all pretty bad to mediocre and are all decently likely to be eventually reworked (but who knows when that could be).
It would have been interesting for her to be random between your own unlocks potentially, or make it like Umberto's Investigations where you choose your infiltration each week. Oh well. And yeah, slotting a Flex just for the hopes of a future rework certainly doesn't feel good, lol.
Another great guide! Thought I was missing something on the investigations taking so long to complete, seems like a weird mechanic. Looks like it's affected by the Diana 50x "bug" though. Getting the expected minute going by every six seconds with speed pots going and no transitions but it's a bit quicker with DIana and area area changes, so maybe there's a way to stack it up in a reasonable amount of time. Your extra highlight on the pre-stack multiplicative items is helpful too =)

Umberto seems to gain investigation stacks faster whilst in a background party. This is certainly true for his second variant. I put a familiar on the 24 hour investigation (reduced to 6 hours), used a large and huge speed potion and switched to some other teams. When i came back about 30 minutes later he was at 150 stacks. In the other variants, a quick out and back, like you'd for Briv stacking, seems to count for 50 minutes or so of investigative time (with large and huge speed pots). I'm pretty sure if you let it go longer more time gets removed (I don't think we'll need to spam switching). Doing the T4 run to 1200 I know I got multiple completions of the 24 hour investigation in less than an hour and a half of real time running it as a background party. Hopefully this is not a bug they fix but intended, because its the only thing making investigations tolerable.
A slight oversight: Since Umberto shares a seat with Black Viper, it doesn't matter what class he is for her ability. Other than that, thanks for the overview. 👍
I picked Srg Knox for the low level gear he as. I being playing almost every day since it came out on playstation 4 and now 5 . My gear level is 50 for every character , gear lvl 3500 for Arkhan and Penelope, average gear lvl 500 ish for the gold and speed champs . I avent put more than 100$ buying a few pass on it since i started playing. Those XXeXX% damage numbers are only reserved for my Penelope only since i focused on her. I wanted to start focusing on abandoning grinding Penelope for gear and go for a debuff/Tank , i noticed he dies fast once the enemies reach him , he doesn't even get to be overwhelmed before he perish. I WANT to focus-gear him but it bothers me is HP is so low . I ave a feeling he should get my one and only health pigment i'm holding to .
For Umberto I like to use Zorbu, he's a ranger and there are a bunch of rangers/druids that have a high enough DEX to work well with Zorbu who also offer a positional buff
Aeon's Challenge Accepted should have been scaled to all time Challenges for the selected Patron - providing an additional incentive for engaging with Patron rollover each week if you wanted to build her up, and are looking for something that pprovides long term investment reward. Also, one fewer challenge out of an eventual aggregate of 100s or 1000s would not be an issue that missing one eighth (or more) of the weekly available power to Aeon is, as you touched on here.
Awe fiddlesticks, I went Knox for my third cuz I misremembered the Tier List video he was in. I mean, I only need Nahara, Strongheart, and Vin Ursa now anyways so I'll get them this event regardless, but feels bad man.

Honestly, I don't think I like overcomplicated conditional buffs. It feels to me like the issue that Diablo 4 just dealt with which they nicknamed "Damage on Tuesdays". I like that they are trying something new, but I really don't have the effort in an "Idle Game" to look at things like "Oh what patron will this unit be awesome for this week". Let's be honest, I haven't even finished patrons as it is anyway lol. Thanks for the awesome video, I think I will slam Freely with event tokens.
I do think they need to branch out and make more dynamic mechanics like these with the Champion bloat we have to keep things fresh and unique, and while I enjoy them, I can understand people not as well.
How do I actually earn and collect event rewards, like Umberto's Mounting Evidence feat, during this event? I can't find it in the faq. Do I need it to come out of one of the earned chests or something?
You have to complete the Tiers of their Variants. For that Feat in particular you have to finish Tier 4 of all his Variants, then it will be automatically unlocked.
I just started. Xander is Position 5 Champion. And i miss this for 2nd Champs in all Spots. Should i Go for him? If Taking xander last missing will be Spot 12.
It really is hard to recommend Xander tbh. He really just isn't good and in a Seat with a few very important Champions. If you're desperate to get your Split the Party going, it's an option, but I still wouldn't recommend personally.

I just wish some of those ranger/druidd offered better buffs themselves, but it does make him scale with his pre-stack quite well!

I do like the concept of incentivizing the completion of Challenges, even though I know a lot of people would hate that.

Ive asked a couple of times for them to offer the ability to reroll a weekly Patron Challenge to prevent lockouts but they wont do it :(
