John: Complains about artifical knees and hips.
Also John: Crawls around on the floor like a mental.
Ahaha! John is the best. ❤️
RIP the two members of Monty Python
Graham Chapman (January 8, 1941 - October 4, 1989), aged 48
Terry Jones (February 1, 1942 - January 21, 2020), aged 77
You both will be remembered as legends.
They're not dead, they're pining for the Fjords.
thank you Terry for teaching me the history we both loved and laughed at.
2 down, 4 to go.
"Who's gonna struggle most with the dance routines?"
* minister of silly walks raises his hand *
He has yet to recieve his government grant.
I thought the same thing. Lol
That's the former minister of silly walks. The current minister of silly walks is Michael McIntyre.
That’s the reason why 😂 contributed to his arthritis
Well, it WAS always Jones doing the burlesque routines.
I would think having an artificial knee and hip would only make a silly walk sillier.
That's funny heh
Till he collapses on the ground in a heap...
No, you're right. That'd be even better.
The silly walk was probably what gave him the artificial knee and artificial hip. :P
Or just being bloody old.
Go and try "Michael Palin at the India/Pakistan border" here on UA-cam for a silly surprise. The origins of the silly walk?
R.I.P. Terry Jones. Just heard it. :(
@Josh Allen Radio?! Duh!! What a strange question!
Yeah, and it was quite agonizing to see some of the later conversations with Terry, you could see his condition developing and making it hard for him to form words.
Holy shit! I'm just finding out about this now!
He’s not actually dead.. it was all a cover story to get out some illegal stuff he was deep in. He’s a family friend of mine.

Which of you do the girls go wildest for? *everyone except John Cleese turns around and looks at Micheal Palin* LMAO

For me, always Mr. chapman or Collonel Silly.

In his day Cleese was a very good lookin fella
The way they all turn to Michael when asked "Which of you do the girls still go the wildest for?" has me in stitches! He was and STILL IS a heartthrob! The first celebrity I ever met when I moved to the UK. I was attending a book signing and was so excited to finally meet my idol! Had my camera ready (no camera phones back then) and the elderly couple behind me saw my excitement and asked me if I'd like them to take a picture of him with me. I get to the front, he's signing my book and I ask for a pic. His manager or press woman who was next to him said no pics were allowed. I felt so deflated. But then he looked up and said he'd be happy to! I cherish that pic and the whole day! I was in Covent Garden for the signing, walked to Hyde Park in a daze, and saw a squirrel grab a tourist by the nutts when he tried to get too close for a pic! Unforgettable day!
This story was riveting till the end and the twist ending! Better than many movies these days 😃
That's a Great story! LMAO at the squirrel ending! 🤣😅😂😆
Did that really happen? Who cares - great story!
@@user-mv6he6gl8m It did! I was in a daze from happiness and walked from Covent Garden where the book signing was to Hyde Park where the squirrel nutt/nad attack happened! I had just moved to the UK as a student, and I'll never forget the day!
@k The most embarrassing bit was as I was leaving, I wished him a Merry Christmas when it was November!

They've never left their prime.
Michael Palin might be 74, but he still makes me blush! Such a charming guy.
Well, he's a lumberjack...
and he's okay.
@@vaclav_fejt haha, yeah but he also likes putting on women's clothing and hanging around in bars. Not that there's anything wrong with that I guess.

Vitoria S. I agree!😚
@@RandyTwang Maybe that's why Vitoria likes him.
I love how when John Cleese says "No matter how fucking bored we are", Eric's eyebrows just go up like "Did he just say that?"
It shouldn't come as a surprise, the Pythons did live shows and audio recordings in the 70s and 80s which were full of swearing.
Cleese was the first person to say "shit" on British tv and the first person to say "fuck" on a British memorial service. So, really, no surprise here :)
I don't think eric was shock like i can' believe he just said that, more just wasn't expecting it.
NyanFishGamer he was saying it in every interview...
Get off it
I thought Eric's reaction there was less surprise and more wholehearted agreement. I mean, can you imagine how many times in the past 40+ years Eric's been asked to sing Always Look on the Bright Side of Life? :D
Ahaha "which of you do the girls still go the wildest for?" *all immediately turn and look at Palin* that was pure gold XD
Sakura4anime25 he's the youngest
I know :)
See him solo in The Missionary lol
pandroidgaxie..
Position. You wish
I've had a crush on him my whole life. He's still hot.
I still can't accept that Terry Jones has dementia. Love and best wishes to him and his family!
Many old people have dementia, it's not a bad thing. People just have to be aware of them, be very patient (which can be very hard but losing memory, repeatedly asking the same questions can be frustrating, as my grandfather has dementia so I know), and be understanding and supportive. More families have to be kinder to their elderly relatives, and everyone should learn to be more patient and kind with old people. It's because people live for so long now, they can't help it. Also could to use the brain too, exercise, read, talk, learn new things, practice musical instruments, paint, sing, do whatever you enjoy that's good for you (but morally correct, of course), will keep you young.
i find it ok he doesnt seem too teased john is smart ass full stop😁
@@ironguanyin123 It's not a bad thing??? To not remember your friends or family. To not know any of your past or be able to communicate anymore? That is not a bad thing?
Let's just be grateful he's still alive.
Time is not kind to everyone, that much is sure. He's 77, and quite frankly we should all be so lucky as to get that far.
Can we just appreciate Michaels little 'artificial knee, artificial hip' dance at 1:02 ?
Watched this clip a million times and just now saw it. I want the Artificial hip dance number.
I completely missed that.

Lol. Quite right
@@akhilbhatt4746 Luxury! Artificial knee, artificial hip, artificial brain.
God I love these guys they're the Beatles of comedy the best to ever do it.
Except they're good
Now now, opinions are a thing.
+Yan Magno Be careful. Or else you might cut yourself on all that edge.
The Beatles of comedy is a very apt description. Far from the only game in town, but one of the absolute best, tried several different styles but always with their own spin on it, and hugely influential.
Also, lots of in-fighting although mostly good relations, some drug problems, one of them died young, and they quit while they were still good, doing great things on their own afterwards (if never as good as when they were together). Very good comparison.
And they're very much a product of the post-war era/1960s
What a wonderful bunch they were. Life would have been so much more boring without them. I'm glad I lived in their time to appreciate them fully.
We all miss Graham Chapman
Idun Dahlström oh I'm sure it's just killing you
Idun Dahlström “Ah good riddance to him!”
- John Cleese
Always, dear Old Collonel Silly
I met Graham Chapman at my University. We were striking the set of The Misanthrope when he popped in to meet us. He was worried that since we had a matinee we missed his scheduled appearance at the other end of campus. What a great thing to do for us. R.I.P.
True story-they were supposed to visit an old concentration camp but they wouldn't let them in. Chapman stuck his head out of the window and yelled out "tell them we're Jews!"
Rest in Peace Terry Jones, you'll be well missed
Eric's face when John swears at the end is absolutely priceless!
Then he nods.
And his tie! I love that tie.

Monty Python at graham Norton. Can't get any better!!!
It's not the same without graham
+Doug Shablowski I know right :-( but there is gay guy named Graham at the show, so if we can't have Chapman, at least we've got Norton!
Well- what are you going to do? Graham was legitamately out there in mind and spirit- and his material just was great.
I like my Grahams's to be Chapman and my Norton's to be Edward's
John Cleese, what a legend
I think every Python is a legend. :)
Each and every single one of them, including the late ones. And not to forget Carol Cleveland and Neil Innes.
Obviously it's not the same without Graham, but it was so heartwarming seeing these legends back together again.
RIP Graham Chapman, Neil Innes and Terry Jones
Its great how they threw in a flash back to Graham.
"How old man can become, and yet change so little." :)
2:19 - Absolutely true; everyone wants to see the old stuff. If I went to see Monty Python live, I'd be disappointed if I didn't hear at some point the phrase "Nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition!".
Javier Sds it's no fun if you expect the spanish Inquisition
Duh! Duh! Duh!
I CONFESS!!!
By now they DO expect it though, don't they?
This is by FAR the greatest group to bless Graham's couch EVER. Wow!
"Who do the girls go wildest for?" And they all turn to Michael Palin, very funny and very sweet i think. RIP Terry J
Love how they "bring" Chapman with them as the drawing on Gilliam's shirt c:
I always remember John Cleese giving a eulogy at Graham Chapman's funeral service. It was delightfully disrespectful, but delivered in a way that made it all about Chapman.
John Cleese is probably the funniest person who ever lived. While being totaly crazy he somehow is 100% sane!
Hi
@@allysonhanks7367 Hello. Have we met before? 🙂
Robin Williams as well.
John Cleese is very funny, but he's not the funniest man ever. That's either Peter Cook or Sir Arthur Streeb-Greebling.

Nice to see them all together here. Missing Terry Jones.
My first real introduction to true brilliant English, Scottish and Irish humor.
The most incredible thing about these guys is that they have remained friends throughout!
R.I.P. Terry Jones, legend. :~C

" people want to see the old stuff. No matter how fucking bored we are with it" John Cleese you legend!
I will be forever grateful to my older brother (he's 8 years older) for introducing me to the Pythons when I was 7/8 years old on PBS. I didn't understand most of it then, but it got my foot in the door and now, nearly 50 years later they're still my favourite comedy troupe
That went as expected. Easily the greatest boy band ever created.
These guys are a world treasure...
There is a sadness to watching this now, three years later, knowing that poor Terry Jones was starting to suffer from dementia. You can perhaps see signs of it in this interview.
He started suffering before this. You can see signs as early as 2009 in interviews. It became very noticeable by 2012/2013 and by 2014 he struggled to put sentences together. By 2015 it was even worse and by 2016, he no longer spoke at all in public. He has since lost all ability to communicate (written and verbal).
Dan Maler 😔
Not 'perhaps'- it's obvious and therefore Cleese was an absolute arse.
@@Io-Io-Io I'm sure Cleese wasn't aware back in 2013.
J Wunder of course he was. He was a close friend of his and they were working together at the Time. Even if you were deaf and blind you'ld realize there's something amiss
When they started talking about replacement knees and hips I honestly thought they were going to break into a pensioners version of Four Yorkshiremen.
RIP Terry and Graham, long life to all the rest. You're the best guys!
@Baba Yaga of course I meant Chapman
Michael Palin definitely had and still has my heart! Though now, most likely as a grandpa. So, there's the line.
Terry isn't on his A game here for now known reasons. A magnificent bloke.
I would have thought that when Terry Jones mentioned his double artificial hip, they'd have broken into the Yorkshiremen sketch and started trying to outdo each others ailments
The Pythons on 'The Graham Norton Show'? I shall DEFINITELY be watching New Year's Eve, then. These 5 kings of comedy are as absolutely hysterical as always.
I was half expecting Terry to say ‘Artificial hip? By ‘eck you were lucky! I’ve got two artificial hips...’ followed by Michael pitching in with ‘Ooh, I used to dream about having just two artificial hips...’
😅😅😂😂
Thank you! You have given me ideas for the future.... 😁
Me too! I was expecting that too. But dementia must've intervened into their spontaneity.
We, however, are the Disciples of Python! 😁
Dear World, Monty Python, The Beatles and Shakespeare, You're welcome, love Britain.
All too often, the word "love" is thrown at celebrities too readily, a rather fanatical celebrity-worship kind of malady. However, here, it is justified, especially Cleese. I've been a fanboy of the troupe for fifty years. I watched this with a huge grin on my face and a tear in my eye feeling such appreciation for all they've done, and yes, they'll all soon be gone. Those will be sad days, indeed. God bless the Python!
I just heard about the lovely Mr Jones passing...... Rip you comic genius 💜❤️🧡💙💚💛
I want to be them when I don't grow up.
First I've heard of this being on, I can't wait now!
john is priceless in this. he never fails to bring the house down one way or another. love how he just dosnt give a toss any more lol. hes taking the piss out of them all being old and falling apart. hes taking the piss out of there tour, taking the piss out of the crowd, himself, the bbc rules of interviews. i will really miss these guys when there gone. class act all of them
What do you mean by "taking the piss out"?
Thankyou Monty Python for helping me to laugh in the darkest times.
RIP, Jones. Thanks for all the great sketches. The world will be a little less funny place without you.
This concept was a stroke of genius by Graham Norton's writers lol

they don't even have to try. They just are ....
God has to be bursting on laughters with the jokes of Graham Chapman and Terry Jones
I don't think God would find anything funny about those two mate.
@@young321bookie That's because it's not real.
Actually God loved them so much he put them up on their own individual wooden plinths so the audience could see them and truth be told, many said they nailed it.
I am so glad Monty Python exists. These guys, and Graham Chapman as well, are some of the best comedians ever :)
I can only imagine how much fun those guys had making their sketches and films back in the days.
These guys will forever be comic geniuses. There is no comparison. Priceless!!!

This is a beautiful moment. Absolute legends.
2:19 John Cleese... that's all.
The man, the myth, the legend.
One of the greatest comedy groups of all time. I grew up watching the Flying Circus and all of their movies as they aired or hit the theaters
still the most brilliant troop ever
Lovely seeing the lads together WITH Gilliam, who so rarely joins in.
I got to see John Cleese live just a few weeks ago, and the man is ungodly hilarious. I genuinely think he must have sold his soul to Satan at one point in exchange for being the most blindingly funny person on the face of the planet.
Just his laugh is hysterical. I saw him live in Oakland, CA. At one point someone was heckling him and he shouted out "Are you a Trump supporter?"
Genius. All of them just wonderful, my favourites are John Cleese and Michael Palin.
I'm surprised the combined gravity of having 5 national treasures of such brilliance in the one place didn't pull the moon down from orbit.
cleese is so fucking funny
Golden to see them all joking and laughing together before Terry was called to the great Flying Circus in the sky!
I was half expecting the conversation about replacement hips to turn in to some kind of variation of the "Four Yorkshiremen" sketch.
After all these years these guys are still the funniest shit ever.
