Hi David, I just got my preliminary PMP exam results, and I have passed it. For my preparation I started off with your 1 hour video on 7th edition of PMBOK and then have watched all of your videos on scenario based questions 2 times and made notes to develop the mindset. All of your videos are priceless, it was your videos which enabled and motivated me to go and get done with the certification. TBH, I had your voice in my mind while answering the questions on exam day, I was like how would David select the best option, "this looks like a high may be", "a very good choice", "a low may be". Thank you David you enabled many individuals like me , you deserve a medal.
This is an awesome way to relate leadership styles to people. The approach of using Disney characters is a brilliant idea as most adults will know the characters mentioned and having the visual cue and memories of the characteristics of the Disney characters makes it easy to understand the leadership styles in depth.
For Charismatic, I thought you would say Gaston. There's someone that inspires people (Lafou and later, the entire town) and he clearly has a lot of self confidence. Sure, he was the villain, but he was still charismatic and self-confident. Also, he was strongly confident that Belle should be his wife.
I think Servant leadership strives for an Egalitarian way of working, as does Democratic. Each person has a voice, and we want to build each person up as well 😊
I usually point out this to my readers: "When you are walking and working in a rhythmic leadership mode, you have clearer thinking and a sharpened mindset that ignites your purpose, passion, and priorities."
Hi David, Great video. A good way of introducing children into Project Management! One question - Is Bureaucratic leadership style the same as the Directing Leadership role you mentioned?

Amazing one
I wonder what egalitarian leadership falls under within this group of leadership styles.
I think Servant leadership strives for an Egalitarian way of working, as does Democratic. Each person has a voice, and we want to build each person up as well 😊
So interesting and very understanding
Very beautifully done !
Awesome video Dave!
I missed my childhood. When i am a toddler or a child, i always watch Disney until Grade 4
I usually point out this to my readers: "When you are walking and working in a rhythmic leadership mode, you have clearer thinking and a sharpened mindset that ignites your purpose, passion, and priorities."
I watched this in school thanks!
Hi David, Great video. A good way of introducing children into Project Management! One question - Is Bureaucratic leadership style the same as the Directing Leadership role you mentioned?
Similar - bureucratic leadership focuses on the chain of command, the set tasks for each role with a clear hierarchy. It may not be directive.
@@davidmclachlanproject Thanks! What disney Character would you match with this out of curiosity? :)
Oh good question. For bureaucratic I would go either: Chi-Fu from Mulan, Zazu from The Lion King, or Cogsworth from Beauty and the Beast.
Nice one 👍
luv u
great video thank you
Super nice 🌾✨
can i have more fictional characters that are Laissez--fair because i cant think of anything for my project
Me toooo fr
I think Woody from Toy Story is perhaps a better example of directing style.
I love this idea! 👍🙂
❤❤❤❤❤
i did not know David McLachlan is british.
I wouldn't take Disney movies as life advice.
You'd be better of using Dungeons & Dragons handbook.
Jesus lives on.
