Hi Myriam. You have used different types of resin in some of your other videos. Do different resins types have different uses? I loved the dental floss idea. Thank you for your videos.
Hello Claire! Thank you for your amazing “patronage”! As a patron, your questions will go to the top of the heap here or on Patreon 😊💕 Pretty much every resin has it’s own unique properties (within the epoxy resin world... there are other types beyond that but let’s stay with epoxy for now.) All epoxy resins require mixing a resin and a hardener, and all will cure hard. Some will cure harder than others, some will be rigid, some will be flexible... some will resist yellowing much better than others so are ideal for covering artwork... some resist heat better than others so are good for hot coffee coasters/trivets... some are thick when mixed so run less when doming on a jewelry piece for a cabochon look, while others can be thin like water and easily flow into teenie tiny crevices of an intricate mold. It all depends on what you need from your resin for your type of project. Most resin artists have a couple of resins on hand at any given time for that reason. The reason I recommend Clearcast 7050 as much as I do is because it is the best of MOST worlds and priced better than all competitors in this class of resin. The price is so good because it is sold by the actual manufacturer (this is not always the case with resins that spend more on advertising for example). For my channel it is important to me to pass on the best information I can find (I’m a tad research obsessed 😉😁) so that viewers can spend their time and money making beautiful art! My plan is to review more and more resins ... for now, of the many many I have tried I am happiest with Clearcast 7050for the majority of what I do ... it literally made me love resin. 😊💕 I hope this long answer helped a bit.
Hi my name is Raquel I live in Puerto Rico and I just love your video we are bless to have someone with you knowledge to show us the way to use resin to do jewelry I would to sell my jewelry to make ends meet as many people know we are going thought a rough time here in Puerto Rico but with the lords help all the crafters that show us In there channels how to do many things I really appreciated very much, May the lord bless all of you out there Thank You from Puerto Rico
Hi Raquel! I am so so happy to hear from someone in Puerto Rico! It breaks my heart how much your country has suffered and I am disappointed and honestly ashamed by the little help the US has offered. If my channel is useful to you, I am just delighted. Please let me know if I can be of help as you learn. May the Lord bless you abundantly. With much love... Myriam 😊😘💕
You are so wonderful - Yes, please continue to share your jewellery skills. And yes I have some good tools but don't know how to use them. Thank you for all you do and all of your budget-friendly approaches.
I love your videos. They are never filled with senseless chatter. They are always very informative, educational and entertaining. You make it look so easy and you explain so clearly. Whether your videos are about painting or jewelry or whatever you feel like crafting or experimenting with, is fine with me. You are an amazing instructor and I enjoy learning from you.
Thank you ever so much Cynthia!! This comment was a wonderful way to end my night. I am just delighted that the channel is fun and useful for you. I hope you will continue to enjoy it. 😊💕
I love that you actually know how to do this stuff and explain, not get half way through the video and find out it didnt work! Also please do videos on anything you can make with resin, like the jewellery, coasters etc.
Hello, you can see the day I discovered your channel, God told me I was supposed to be right there at that second in my life, I was like WOW, but when he speak I listen. Loving all your great paintings, I will begin making....Today I WAS BLOWN AWAY. I have watched countless videos for months ,,,,I have everything I need for Resin Jewelry;;, and been so paralyzed I mean terrified to begin,,,,,UNTIL NOW,,,,,, Your Technique is the BEST....Please, Please, make more & more & more RESIN JEWELRY VIDEOS,,,,Much Love
Show everything you can think of, because someone somewhere will learn from it. Your creativity and the method used to deliver your info is spectacular. I've been in art for a long long time and I really believe there's nothing new under the sun. Then I find people like you on UTube and become excited all over again.
OH -I love this. I make all my own jewelry -so......Matching colors in clothes is NOW -ultra easy. Thank for your tute. PLEASE do more resin jewelry tutes
Hello Myriam. I find myself looking forward to watching your videos, if not for the wealth of information then for the chance to laugh & smile along with you 😊. I love how you look out for your viewers & share your insights. The jewelry is so simple & yet so beautiful! I cannot wait to try it! I'm hoping to become one of your supporters very soon.
Hi Myriam, I started watching you for alcohol inks, but am so thrilled that you are doing some resin jewelry videos. Resin is my latest obsession, and I love your teaching style. Thank you. 🤗
I love your ideas and your inspiration is contagious. Drills are OK. We don't need a bunch of different drills and drill bits are relatively cheap. I look forward to trying the two resins that you recommend. Tools are fine as long as I can get them easily like at local hardware/home improvement stores. And, your tips and hints are greatly appreciated.
Yes! Yes! Yes! More jewelry videos! I string beads and charms, make bracelets, earrings, and necklaces out of acrylic skins, etc., but I don't make resin jewelry. I am anxious to learn! I don't have a drill, tho....not even one, much less six....lol I do have silicone molds, tho, so I guess I'm on my way just waiting for your videos! I am your newest and most enthusiastic fan! Thanks again!
Hi again Colleen! I can hear the fun excitement in your voice and it just makes me smile! Thank you again for that! In case you don’t see my response to you under your other comment: If you are on Facebook, please send me a message at facebook.com/MyriamsNature ... I hoping to send you a note. 😊💕
You rock girl. All videos are so informative. It's the little tricks that are huge to learn from you to save us frustration. I love the simple jewelry resin tutorials. I can't afford large amounts of resin for resin pours on canvases although I love to still watch them. Thanks again. Love your personality and humor. ❤️
I started out making jewelry out of polymer clay. Then added crystal & metal beads. Now I want to add resin to the pieces I make and your videos will help me do that! My husband is a generous soul so I am drowning in tools! I have three Dremels all for different purposes.......one mounted in a drill press, one on an extended flexible cable with a foot pedal control and a little one for little projects! I think I have about 6 of those hand operated drills that come with some resin kits. I'm looking forward to more jewelry projects from you. I have been into the UV resin but that gets tricky when adding color of any kind. I love how you do things with the long cure resins! I now have a place in the craft room to set the molds to cure with a cover over them! Thank you for sharing your techniques with all of us! Got a good giggle out of your closing paragraph!!
I love this. Yes, I want to see more jewelry ideas. I do have basic tools and a drill, although I have to say, I really do not do well with drilling pieces. So any tips are appreciated. Love your videos.
I absolutely love that necklace! The colors are so beautiful! I never thought of putting a necklace together like that. It makes such a cool necklace! I will definitely be doing that in the future.
Would love to see more jewelry videos. Any and all, from beginner to advanced, would be appreciated. I can't imagine any video you make that is not great! XOX
I'm so happy I found your channel I'm just starting to get my stuff together so I can start making resin jewelry I'm a jeweler as well and a beader. Nothing professional just stuff I put together and people like it I just saw them parts and pieces I can buy. I love your laugh and your personality is wonderful so happy to find you thank you very much.I would love to see anything you want to teach us I'm used to tools so I'm fine with that I'm fine with the drill so I'm up for anything you want to teach us.
This is a very pretty piece. Thank you for sharing all your ideas with us. I for one would love to see more of these types of videos with or without the use of tools. Thanks again and have a blessed day.
🙋🏻♀️Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes and no. Love all of it. I’ve done beaded jewelry, so I have some tools. I don’t think you should not do jewelry that requires a drill, but maybe not ‘intensive’ projects for those not tool-savvy. It helps just to get an idea of how things are done if we haven’t gotten that far into it.....yet! This video was worth chocolate! 🍫🍫🍫🍫🍫 👍❤️
yes more resin jewelry this was awesome!!!! I have a dremel drill hardly ever use it. I know you'll give me reason to ;) nice change up from inks and pouring. You're very talented and a great teacher at that!
I just had to tell you I loved this video you did a great job in explaining and I love the fact that you're real and having fun with the process. Thank you for taking the time to share.
This was wonderful. They are so pretty. I love your color sense. I want to try this too! My vote is--share EVERYTHING with us! You are so creative so anything you share will be interesting and fun!
I learned more from this video than others, you have great ideas, like taping the resin pieces down when doming. I know this is an older video, but I would love to see more jewelry with drilling, because I'm not trained or experienced in it. I think many others, like myself, feel a bit uncomfortable with a drill, only because we haven't been shown what kind of drill is great for just jewelry or hanging curtains on the wall. Big difference in drills!
I don't plan on doing this but I always watch your stuff all the way to the end. This is because that I always learn a tidbit here and there. You should know that it is because you are so thorough and descriptive and always entertaining . Thank you.
I use to do some woodworking so have a variety of tools, drills, drill press, router, band saw, Dremel tools, etc. Go for it! Always looking for new ideas.
Yes, I'd love to see more jewelry videos as well. Also, I think showing all your drills and tools helps us to grow, challenges us to learn and maybe even inspire us to try something new. Even if I don't own them (yet, lol) I love learning.
looking at resin videos and stumble across your vid. OMG just so much info and every time you giggle I crack up. thanx for another fun informative video.
I'm really glad I happened upon your tutorials. I am learning a lot. I've made a couple of pieces so far. They are far from ok,and I can't afford a lot of supplies but because of you I'm not giving up Thank you!
