Have you seen Rewilding Jude. He is a former yarn dyer who moved to rural Scotland to rebuild his life after both his parents died. He is remodeling a very old house and doing all sorts of outdoor projects. It’s so relaxing and uplifting. New videos come out every Sunday. I love watching him with a cup of tea while I am knitting. Enjoy!
Thank you very much! I am in disbelief that there are knitters like you, that can identify patterns and designers like this. The Aldous has gone into my queue to knit.
I too sew, but I much prefer knitting. It’s portable! Also, unless there is a designated sewing room/area, everything involved (machine, notions, etc) takes up soooo much space. LOVE your channel. Happy New Year!
It is so much easier to tote knitting with you! I find I can work on a project while on the go. I also love the rhythm of knitting. Happy New Year to you!
Lovely sweater! I don’t think those are slipped stitches creating the faux seams, it’s a purl. Also, I think it’s just a lateral line of stitches not a full-blown Latvian braid. If you find the design please share, I will too as I’ll be doing some detective work. It’s a classic and the knitter was excellent! Great episode. Thanks for sharing and all the best in 2025!
Thanks for the great insights! One of our lovely knitters in the community found that this sweater is the Aldous by Isabell Kraemer. I haven't pruchased the pattern, so I'm not sure how some of the stitches are made, but the Ravelry page calls out that the detailed stitches at the hem and the cuffs are a twisted braid. Happy New Year!
I also enjoy Home Renovision with Jeff Thorman, who is Canadian, and SeniorShape Fitness with Lauren, who I think is also Canadian, based on her accent. I learned how to build a shed from scratch from Jeff, and need to get back on videos to get some cardio worked into my knitting schedule.
These sound great, will have a look. Have you listened to Sherlock pod here on YT. Its audio only and updated to current day London with Watson as a podcaster, quite funny 🤣 Best wishes for 2025 💚🎆
I am going to have to look up how to do the Bavarian braid, I really like that small detail! I will have to check out some of those channels, thank you for the suggestions. A channel that my husband and I find relaxing to watch is MAKE. DO. GROW , a couple that are restoring an old farmhouse in Portugal, gardening, winemaking, some travel and other interesting things. They are a really neat couple from the UK.
That sweater is the Aldous sweater - designed by Isabell Kraemer. I’m pretty sure - it’s in my queue!
Yes! Very nice sweater!
Yes. Thank you. Hopefully my next project! ❤❤
My guess was Isabell Kraemer! I recognize her construction anywhere!
I actually have it in my library ❤
Thanks you for posting. This knitting community we live in is the BEST!❤️
When I was sewing before learning to knit I loved Kate!
Kate's great! I love her round-ups and connections between trends and sewing patterns.

By the way ….. Is that a real fire roaring in back of you?

No, it's on our screen. I long for a real fire place. One day!

This sounds wonderful! I will add this to my new watch and listen list. I love consuming content as I knit. Thank you very much for sharing!
That is a lovely sweater ❤, would love to know too if you find out 😊.
This is the Aldous sweater by Isabelle Kraemer.
Please see @nadinedetain6765 's reply. This is the exact pattern and design! I can't believe it. I am thrilled!
This is an amazing discovering! Thank you!
I love knitting, but I'm so sorry...your bookcase looks like it's on fire😅

This sounds like a wonderful addition to the channels we enjoy. I do love watching people making after their vision. So inspiring!
@ the last video they put out is a good summary of what their channel is about. Very likeable couple☺️
