My question is the same one that you actually put in the video. So the company that I work for will not pay for short term disability before the birth of the baby only after. So which would be the correct answer to that question? Because they will continue to pay me once the baby is born, just not any time from 36 weeks pregnant until the birth. Please help!?
Thank you so much for replying I had put no because I had to submit my application on the 6th but I just sent a specific message via the portal that I needed to change the answer to that question to Yes. I just received my Notice of computaion today so I think I'm on track to receive my benefits ASAP, thanks again ♥ @@AshleyYang
Another hot tip: you can contact your state assembly member for help with getting in touch with EDD! In my case they had a web form I could fill out with some details on my situation and they followed up with me via email (revolutionary 🤯😜) instead of snail mail 🤦🏻♀️✉️📪. I'd entered exactly what my 3rd party leave administrator instructed, and I still got denied my FMLA portion of my leave --> cue a million phone calls to EDD trying to reach someone to appeal. My state assembly member's website also had some tips on best times to call and what options to enter for diff situations!
@@AshleyYang hi I have a question i am 6 months pregnant and I submitted a note saying light duty...so the hospital told me there's no light duty....so we have to put u off but since u want to leave Feb 2 your maternity leave will start and u have to come back August 31 and I don't want to leave my baby at 4 months I want 6 months with my baby and go back Nov 1 what can I do ?
Hi! Thank you first of all for putting this online for everyone to be able to access, I had a question while filing my SDI. My OB has given Nov 4th as my disability start date, but I know there is a waiting period to go in and file online (I think 7 or 9 days?) to avoid any delays. Seeing the form on your youtube page, I had questions because I heard you can use PTO during the waiting period before submitting the claim. Where it says 'When did your disability begin?' that would obviously be Nov 4th for me, but the section where it says "Date you want your Disability Insurance claim to begin if different than the date your disability began:" Would I put Nov 13th, which is the start date of the filing process? This would then not include the waiting period which I was planning to use my PTO. If I don't use PTO during this waiting period, would I then put Nov 4th if I don't end up using PTO? Where it says "Has or will your employer continue to pay you during your disability leave? If I'm getting paid with my PTO during the waiting period of my disability leave, do I answer 'Yes'? Should I indicate that under "Other Type of Pay"? How would I indicate that? Or do I not need to and just put 'No'? TYSM!
Thank you so much for the information video Ashley! I am curious to know how you filed out the EDD disability information you mentioned at 4:56 seconds because I had the same question as well but I filed "no" although my employer technically would be making me whole during some portions of my leave.
Hi Alicia, great question. You will most likely be fine answering No as I did though you are correct that the proper way would be answer Yes > Other Type of Pay. You will be paid the correct amount, it's more of a measure for the State to ensure you don't get paid TOO much rather than too little. If you have additional questions feel free to email me
Thank you so much for sharing this valuable information.I have 2 questions. My OB will put me off at 32weeks and was wondering how this short term disability work? do i get pay during my time off or only get pay 4 weeks before my due date? Whats about the bonding pay? Thank you and hope to hear from you soon
Hi there, yes you will get pay starting at 32 weeks assuming you are eligible for SDI. This does not impact your bonding time after. Feel free to book a consultation with me if you have more questions! calendly.com/askashleyyang/personalized-consultation-with-ashley
After watching this video, I am definitely going to keep these things in mind as I file maternity leave. I'm due in May but intend to take the 4 weeks off before. Its just more difficult since the company I am at uses sedgwick, and I am on kaiser healthcare. It feels like I am pulling teeth trying to get information and on top of that I will have to file for SDI by paper and not online since my name is too long :( so if your SDI video goes over the paper process that would be great too.
Hopefully you can help me here but I am also planning on taking 4 weeks pregancy disability before my due date (Jan 29th 2024) . But will my FMLA run concurrent with it even though baby is not here?
Thanks for the video! My employer is a small biz and doesn’t offer any sort of maternity leave package, so unfortunately I just get what’s offered through the state of California. I plan on starting my maternity leave 4 weeks before my due date. Do you know though if I decided to take some unpaid leave before that 4 week mark if that will affect the benefits I receive from the state? I also have the same question about if I go part-time the last couple of weeks before my maternity leave starts. I tried reading the state website but it’s super confusing to me… my due date is July 7, 2023 and it seems like benefits should be calculated based on what I earned from January 1, 2022 - December 31, 2022?
Hi ! This is such a great video . I have three questions. First- I believe I am going to get my disability insurance extended by doctor but I already filed for baby bonding . Can I put baby bonding (paid family leave) on hold or pause and claim disability? Second: i had a baby in 2021 and I filed for paid family leave and I believe I didn’t get that money. Can I appeal that ? Third: for paid family leave it is 8 weeks paid 4 weeks unpaid total of 12 weeks ? Thank you again ! I appreciate all the help
There's no harm in filing both claims (baby bonding and disability) and seeing what they will allow you to do. I recommend calling EDD with my tip mentioned at the end of the video for your 2nd question. Paid family leave is 8 weeks paid if eligible. Good luck!
This video is so helpful - THANK YOU. My company offers 3 months paid maternity leave; can I take PFL (Baby Bonding) after my maternity leave runs out? Or do they run concurrent?
Darn , I’m still confused lol I’m over here thinking that if I took the 4 weeks off before my due date that I’d be missing out on my actual time with baby when they are born
Omg me too! Please share!! I’m going to be having a c section Jan 29th 2024 and my last working day is 1/02/2024 for my PDL. I thought it would take away from the 16 weeks PDL CA offers. What did you do? Share your story!!!
Hello Ashley! Thank you so much for this super informative video! Quick question, so my company does not pay for maternity leave, I will solely depend on EDD. I will take time of on my 35th week of pregnancy. Should I get a doctor's note for the 4weeks prior delivery leave? Thank you so much for your help!
@@AshleyYangHey Ashley! I recently asked the /edd subreddit if a physician’s note is needed to apply for SDI 4 weeks prior ti due date and someone mentioned that a physician’s note is still required. When you applied, was a note not needed? Did the rules possibly change in the past year? Thanks!!
I’m part of a union that sent out a notice regarding the annual pay raise and indicated there would be retroactive pay that would include a couple weeks prior to my maternity leave at 36 weeks. Since EDD calculates pay based on prior wage, how does EDD get notified of this pay bump and can it get applied to the rest of my leave?
Hi, thank you for your video! I am not sure if you can help me, but I actually am a freelance person and was unemployed before going onto disability and PFL. I work in the entertainment industry as a producer and I don't have a job to return to at this moment. I'm trying to file unemployment benefits now and it's asking me things like, "Are you still caring for or bonding with a family member?" and also asking me to give dates and the hours I was not available for work while on PFL. That was 8 weeks! I'm not sure how to answer these questions and of course, can't reach EDD. 😫
Hi Charlene, I probably need to know more about your situation like dates and such. Feel free to schedule time with me calendly.com/askashleyyang/personalized-consultation
Thank you so much for posting this video! I wish I had done more research before going on leave. My company had me file a short term disability claim and then FMLA which I am currently on. I started my leave August 7th and am taking 12 weeks off. My short disability insurance pays 40% and then my company is paying the other 60% so I am getting fully paid for these 12 weeks. Am I still eligible for CFRA to take an additional 12 weeks off? I started to fill out the EDD disability claim application and am confused on what date to put for starting the claim. I wanted to put November 6th but I can't put a date in the future.
You can file for Paid Family Leave (8 weeks) after disability is over but you have to wait until you are no longer getting disability payments to file for it. Hope that helps!
Hey! I'm wondering if my state benefit payments for disability and PFL would be reduced if my company wanted to cover the remaining 40% of wages I would be missing out on?
No they won't be reduced. If you qualify, the state will pay you the maximum amount possible and your company will pay you the rest. Thanks for watching!
Thanks for this video, very helpful! One thing I'm getting confused about how CFRA factors in. So let's say you take 4 weeks before due date and 6-8 weeks following birth under CPDL/FMLA, can you then add another 12 weeks onto that under CFRA?
Hi Ashley, thank you for your video!! I’ve watched it multiple times and it’s been very helpful. I have a question- my company gives us 8 weeks of maternity leave. They’ve told me to reach out to MetLife which handles short term disability matters. I am having trouble, either understanding correctly or explaining myself- in my case would I be getting 8 weeks from my company plus 6 or 8 weeks from the state of CA, depending on if it was a vaginal birth or c-section, just not at my full pay amount? Also, if I pay towards an extra short term disability that will get my paycheck to be 100% while on short term disability at work, how do I get that to apply while getting my pay from the state?
It sounds like your vid mentions that maternity leave date starts on the day of the delivery date. Could you please clarify, for example, If I take my mat leave starting 38 weeks (3/20)- bc I’m entitled to pre-birth 4-week with PDL- and I end up delivering on my actual due date (4/3) should my company count my maternity leave starting on the day of my delivery? Or the first day of my actual leave date (3/20)?
You want to look at the fine print of your company's maternity leave policy but typically your company maternity leave begins counting on the day of your delivery.
Can I ask for maternity leave or disability leave at 28 weeks pregnancy? I have a high risk pregnancy, and I can't do my job due to physical and pregnancy limitations. Please respond.
Hi Ashley! Thank you so much for making this video! Navigating this whole maternity leave and EDD is not an easy process! I had taken my 4 weeks disability leave prior to giving birth (via c section) and now coming close to completing my 8 weeks maternity leave. I was given the option to extend my leave for another 4 weeks. I read somewhere that EDD can cover up to 124 days of Paid Disability Leave. Is this true? If so, I'm assuming the addition of those 4 weeks would also be paid and covered by EDD and is job protected.
Hi Therese, congratulations on your recent birth! After SDI is over, you can apply for Paid Family Leave which gives you 8 additional weeks of 60-70% pay!
My company said they only can hold my position for 12 weeks .. does that mean I can’t apply for fmla after std is over ? Also I thought fmla was unpaid .. is this incorrect ?
Hi there! Ok so I’m in CA and my due date is Jan 29th 2024. My last working day will be Jan 03 2024, to take the 4 weeks pregnancy disability leave and my return to work date is April 15th. Does this sound correct to you? Pleas help!! I’m so lost :(
Thank you for the video! My company is saying that I receive paid leave 4 weeks before delivery, plus paid leave 8 weeks after delivery. However in speaking to my DR and friends, I'm under the belief that I should get paid leave for 6-8 weeks after under disability, PLUS another 8 weeks of paid leave through PFL. Is that correct? If so, any suggestions on where to point my company to so I can prove it?
Hi Katelyn, yes that is correct. Your company may be saying they are willing to top you up to full 100% pay for 8 weeks. The rest you will be paid through the state and it will not be at your full normal wage. The EDD website is a good place to point your company to. If you have additional questions, please email me at askashleyyang at gmail thanks!
Ok! Also, my wife had preeclampsia and actually gave birth on her NST test that day they told her this so I immediately filed for disability and are in it now, so I assume we won’t get the 4 weeks before birth because she was technically still working and getting paid? For reference her due date was 10/24/23 (today) but gave birth 9/6/23
Does someone have to work a minimum of 12 months to get maternity leave in California? I read that you can also get it if you worked 1,250hrs? Even if it took you let’s say 9 months to complete 1,250hrs
Work tenure is not part of the eligibility requirements but you do want to make sure you are paying into CASDI on your paystub edd.ca.gov/siteassets/files/disability/pdf/PFLNewMotherTrainingDeck.pdf
Thank you Ashley! I loved how your video explained so much but I feel that I may be overthinking this or maybe worrying too much. I do have a question. My current employer doesn't offer any type of pay while I am out after having my baby so this has be very worried financially. Do you have any information that can help me while I am out?
Hi Joanna, congratulations on your pregnancy! This calculator can help you see how much you will get paid by the government even if your employer will not pay you during leave edd.ca.gov/en/disability/PFL_Calculator/
After watching your video I realized I might have made a mistake... So I was told by my benefits department that I have to apply to both 'The Standard' and Edd. I wasn't even sure what the standard was but I filled ( now I realize that it might be short term disability). My last day of work was 12/15/22, so on 12/16/22 I completed the Edd disability paperwork. I had my baby on January 18 2023. So far I've been receiving the standard checks and my disability, according to Edd, ends on February 28, so return to work date is March 1st. Edd just sent me an email with info on my payment. (They will send me a card for it so will wait on that). Now my question is what about bonding time? Is it different? How do I file for bonding? Or was 6 weeks after delivery all I get? I went on Edd and saw the file for bonding, just need to understand this before I make a bigger mistake. On the form it asks if I want to get all of my leave time (which I have no idea what that is) or when I want to return. Was I supposed to wait to file Edd after the standard ran out?
Hi Catalina, it sounds like you want to apply for PFL and that is a separate claim. You can do this after your SDI (short term disability) ends. Hope that helps!
HI im due in May 2024. After the 6-8 week leave is complete...how would one go about extending leave and still get paid in CA? I haven't been with my employer for a year so i wont be eligible for the 12 week fmla until october once i meet that 12 month requirement
Hello!! Thanks for such an informative video! I have a question, I’ve filed my SDI & it’s been approved. Next is the PFL when would I start to apply for that & if my employer offers maternity leave (16 weeks) would the 8 weeks I get from PFL be in addition to those 16 weeks from my employer? Or would they over lap? 😅 Hope that makes sense!
I have a scheduled c section at 39 weeks, shouldn’t I be able to take leave at 35 weeks since my due date has been scheduled at this point? Or am I only entitled at 36 weeks even though I’m scheduled at 39 week delivery?(california) I feel like the scheduled c section is now my new delivery date and should be honored but I’m getting mixed answers.
Hi, I have a question I’m working on the application for paid family baby bonding and have a question on this following question; Have you filed or do you intend to file for workers' compensation benefits ? I don’t know what to answer. Can I please get your assistance? I would really appreciate it, thank you .
Hi Jessica, I would probably need to know more about your situation but most people answer No for this question since giving birth is not an injury caused by work.
Thanks so much for the info. If my provider wants to sign my DE 2501 by mail, do I mail it in together with Part A? or Do I let the Provider mail their Part B separately? Also, do I have to have part 3B : electronic receipt number? If yes, how to I find that if I am also filing by mail?
Hi there! I'm not super familiar with filing by mail but based on this, it sounds like Part B is sent in separately. edd.ca.gov/en/disability/how_to_file_a_di_claim_by_mail/ The electronic receipt number would not apply here if applying by mail.
What if I don’t plan on going back to my job after I give birth ? Because my employer has already been informed that my last month is July and im due the August 29th .. after maternity leave I don’t plan on going by there
Hi. I’ve been off way earlier due to high risk pregnancy and had been receiving from EDD SDI, renewed claim for cont. benefits as requested by EDD. I gave birth 2 weeks ago. And was given 6 wks off work note. My employer said there no change on their part since I’ve been on maternity disability leave off work order. I’m confused now, so when I go back to my EDD it’s asking for another renewal or report of birth due 11/16. Should I report birth which is 10/30. And how does my 6 wks kick off, I know I don’t have hours left on my sick leave( consumed it from Being off early). Should EDD continue to pay me after reporting birth?
Hi Sheryl, congrats on delivering your baby! You will report the accurate birth date. Happy to help calendly.com/askashleyyang/personalized-consultation
Hello, My due date was 01/18/2023 but I was put on PDL on 12/21/2022 and ended up giving birth on 12/30/2022. So on my Edd my return date to work is 03/02/2023 as if I delivered on 01/18/2023. My OB now offered to extend my leave after birth for an additional 4weeks. How would I go about this form? And where can I get the form?
Hi Susie, your return to work date should already change based on when you actually delivered the baby. You will need to return to your SDI and PDL claims to edit your actual delivery date. Hope that helps!
If my employer provides disability through UNUM, should I be answering Yes to that question regarding if employer will continue to pay you during leave?
You can answer No for this question. Saying Yes flags your claim and causes delays, see comments in this post for more context instagram.com/p/COOE7EyA-EK/
My baby was born four months ago, and I'm ready to take maternity leave. You mentioned there was a four-week that I could take before having the baby. Can I get those weeks back? and how far in advance is best to apply to avoid not having any income.
Hi Jacqueline, you cannot get the weeks back unfortunately. You can't file claims in advance for EDD, it has to be after you start for your first day of leave (either Short Term Disability or Paid Family Leave)
Hi Ashley, thanks for this helpful video. Just wanna ask a question, so Im due on 07/12/2023 and my last day of work is on 06/02/2023, it’s like 6 weeks before my due date. Can I still submit a 4 weeks short disability leave even my last day is 6 weeks before my due date? Thank you.
May I ask does it mean I should answer "No" to question "if your employer will pay you"? Even the employer will make a whole for regular pay check? If I need change it on my claim, what's my option? Thanks
So I’m a contract worker losing my job as my dude date is March 10 and they can’t keep my position while I go on leave so my last day of work is this Friday 2/9/24. Am I still eligible for CA paid family leave?
Hi Dezaree, you may still be eligible depending on how much money you made. edd.ca.gov/en/disability/faqs-part-time-intermittent-reduced-work-schedule/
Hi, thanks for the insight. I have a question: I'm only receiving EDD SDI. I talk to my HR and they have 3rd party which is I didn't apply for a short term disability but I have a long term disability. I'm confused about the company itself pay. 2nd: how the edd automatic payments works? I received a payment once. I was approved since Dec 7,2022 but starting pay was Dec 14-20. And approved on the 21st automatic pay. I received my edd card 31st of Dec. And I activated the card. I also received a message on the edd website stating I will receive payments every 14days. 14days pass after receiving the first payment I have not received the 2nd automatic payment. I'm kind a confused right now. Do I need to contact them? Or because it was holidays those 14days and the payments are delayed?
I delivered my baby on 12/18/22 and my recovery disability ends 1/28/23. I am aware that I have to file for Paid Family Leave before 41 days but when I try to file the PFL claim online it says my disability benefits must end to file the new claim. Do I file for PFL on 1/28/23 or 1/29/23?

I leave in CA, Will I still be able to get maternity leave benefits? My due date is April 20,2023. Also I been working for the last 18 months and more it’s only been one week of my unpaid leave
Hi there, I'm not sure on balancing the 2 leaves - has your HR been able to help? You could also try calling EDD directly. I have the shortcut for that at the end of the video. Thanks for watching!
Hi! I'm a new subbie (in San Diego) and I found the system so difficult to navigate through when I went through this last year as a first time mom. I was able to get checks from EDD and did my fair share of tracking them down to correct some mistakes they made, but not from UNUM. I don't believe my employer used UNUM, but maybe a different company? Can you elaborate what UNUM is responsible for? Now I'm wondering if I may have missed out on extra $$$ but hope not (fingers crossed).
Hi Kellyn, as long as you got the total pay you were expecting (ie. 100% of your salary) that's all that matters! (the sources may be different). Unum is used if your employer contributes to Short Term Disability benefit on your behalf, you'll see "Short Term Disability" on all of your pay stubs. If not, it's possible that your employer paid for the bulk of your compensation instead of the government (EDD + Unum).
I contact my HR departen and they told me they do not pay anything for maternity leave that everything is through the state that fist i need to apply for Californian Disability and then for PFL, do you know anything about this ?
Hi there! i have a question about unpaid Fmla. I live in CA and once my paid baby bonding FMLA time runs out, do you know if unpaid FMLA can be used for 12 weeks additional or if the paid portion of the FMLA is included in the 12 weeks and this would be 12 weeks total?
Hello thanks for the video. I was wondering if i have to work 12 months to get maternity leave? I am confused about the FMLA leave. If i haven't worked for 12 month, is that mean my job is not protected and i also don't get maternity leave? Can I get sdi edd if i haven't work 12 months? Thank you!
Hi there, I am not clear on FMLA eligibility but I can tell you that I had not worked at my company for 1 year and still received SDI. Hope that helps!

When and How soon do I file short term disability leave???
My question is the same one that you actually put in the video. So the company that I work for will not pay for short term disability before the birth of the baby only after. So which would be the correct answer to that question? Because they will continue to pay me once the baby is born, just not any time from 36 weeks pregnant until the birth. Please help!?
You can file for short term disability as soon as you are off work!
You can put yes here, it is pretty typical for companies to not top you up for the portion before birth.
Thank you so much for replying I had put no because I had to submit my application on the 6th but I just sent a specific message via the portal that I needed to change the answer to that question to Yes.
You're welcome!
Hi Erica, congrats on your pregnancy! Do you mind emailing me? askashleyyang at gmail
Wait I’m curious about this too, as it is similar to my situation. Would love any guidance!
You'll have to check your company's policy on that!
For expecting fathers, can you tell me how the process what , and what benefits are we entitled to? MY company uses uumn as well
Darn , I’m still confused lol I’m over here thinking that if I took the 4 weeks off before my due date that I’d be missing out on my actual time with baby when they are born
You won't!
@@AshleyYang thanks to you now I know! And I’m happy because I’m getting exhausted from working so much 🤣😅😅🥰
Omg me too! Please share!! I’m going to be having a c section Jan 29th 2024 and my last working day is 1/02/2024 for my PDL. I thought it would take away from the 16 weeks PDL CA offers. What did you do? Share your story!!!
I thought the same my last two pregnancies
Hello Ashley!
Thank you so much for this super informative video!
Quick question, so my company does not pay for maternity leave, I will solely depend on EDD. I will take time of on my 35th week of pregnancy. Should I get a doctor's note for the 4weeks prior delivery leave?
Thank you so much for your help!
Congrats on your pregnancy! You don't need to get a physical note but your doctor will need to provide documentation to EDD to confirm your due date.
Hi, thanks for the video. I do have a question: I can get family leave and disability together?
Thank you!!
Thanks for watching!!
Thank you for your answer! I've been looking everywhere trying to figure it out. Super helpful video. @@AshleyYang
Thanks for this video, very helpful! One thing I'm getting confused about how CFRA factors in. So let's say you take 4 weeks before due date and 6-8 weeks following birth under CPDL/FMLA, can you then add another 12 weeks onto that under CFRA?
Hi JaxH, yes you get another 12 weeks of CFRA but only 8 weeks of that is partially paid through Paid Family Leave. Hope that helps!
Super interesting! I’m not sure it applies to us in residency (we also only get 4 weeks of mat leave), but curious about people’s experiences :)
Yeah I find it interesting how every industry is so different!
Can you tell me the best order to take all leaves ? vacation time included
SDI, PFL, FMLA and/or PTO
Hi Karina, you may benefit from scheduling some time with me. calendly.com/askashleyyang/personalized-consultation
My employer is no help and aren’t giving me any information on how to start the process through Unum I’m 7 months
That was great‼️
Thanks for watching!
FMLA is unpaid, that's correct.
I answered the same question wrong and haven’t fixed it…what will happen? 😮
Hi there, I would just stay on the lookout for any mail from EDD and make sure you are getting paid what you expect. Good luck!
What’s the difference between FMLA and sdi?
FMLA is job protection that does not come with any pay from the State. SDI offers partial pay if you are eligible. Hope that helps!
@@AshleyYang if I take my 4 weeks pregnancy disability (before due date) will my FMLA run at the same time even though baby is not here?
I have a scheduled c-section should i take 4 weeks before my c-section date?
You certainly can!
Hi. If my doctor gave me a note to start my leave at 34 weeks, would the extra 2 weeks be covered as a disability?
Yes
Congrats Cassie! Have you looked into Paid Family Leave already after Short Term Disability?
I have not... Should I ask my hr?
Hi Jazmin, you will need to ask your employer for specifics but they likely overlap (though it would be nice if it was "in addition"!)
Hi Lisa! It depends on what your doctor or provider is willing to put as your due date so you can confirm with them. Good luck!
Hello Ashley, Do you know anything about intermediate leave?
I don't, sorry! Do you mean intermittent leave?
@@AshleyYang yes sorry. Intermittent leave.
And if I had a different employer 5 months ago, does EDD need my pervious employer’s info?
Because my employer has already been informed that my last month is July and im due the August 29th .. after maternity leave I don’t plan on going by there
Hi Karen, can you clarify what your question is?
And how does my 6 wks kick off, I know I don’t have hours left on my sick leave( consumed it from
Being off early). Should EDD continue to pay me after reporting birth?
Hi Sheryl, congrats on delivering your baby! You will report the accurate birth date. Happy to help calendly.com/askashleyyang/personalized-consultation
Hello,
My due date was 01/18/2023 but I was put on PDL on 12/21/2022 and ended up giving birth on 12/30/2022.
What if you’re 4 months new at your job and it’s a government job in California. Can I still qualify for short term disability??
It's best to ask your employer! I've heard some gov jobs like public school teaching give alternate benefits in lieu of short term disability.
Thank you.
Hi J, yes you can always submit a claim and see how EDD responds. Congratulations on your pregnancy!
May I ask does it mean I should answer "No" to question "if your employer will pay you"? Even the employer will make a whole for regular pay check? If I need change it on my claim, what's my option? Thanks

How do you go all about it if you're part time?
Hi Dezaree, you may still be eligible depending on how much money you made. edd.ca.gov/en/disability/faqs-part-time-intermittent-reduced-work-schedule/
waiting period time shows payment $0 means I won't receive money during the waiting period?
Correct, but your company may offer to pay you during this time
Hi, thanks for the insight.
Hi Filipina, sorry for the late reply. Did you get this worked out? If you have more questions, please let me know!

That does sound possible that your company will not provide anything extra. I recommend filing a claim on the EDD website and going from there!
Hi there! i have a question about unpaid Fmla. I live in CA and once my paid baby bonding FMLA time runs out, do you know if unpaid FMLA can be used for 12 weeks additional or if the paid portion of the FMLA is included in the 12 weeks and this would be 12 weeks total?
