I first used this silicon spray 3 months ago and haven’t looked back. Before adding the WD, I cleaned the runners using a cloth wrapped around a flat-head screwdriver dipped in hand sanitizer (70% alcohol).
Yes, just make sure you powerwash the car first to have everything clean inside the windows down in the door area, then leave it for 1 day to dry out then putu this. After about 6 months it'll wear out and you'll need to do it all over again. It's not permanent, unfortunately.
Next time try to clean the lines with old plastic card or small flat screwdriver carefully and spray after. (because of sand and dust buildup) I think that you used too much silicon. :)
I will take into consideration your advice. It was the first time I did it. Anyway I understand this spray doesn't build up so it's all good. After 1 year it'll fade away and I'll have to reapply it. I didn't want to wash the car first them apply it. Rather I went to the car wash afterwards, but as I said it was the first time. Next time I'll clean the car perfectly then use it. I'll do like you said with a card and maybe a baby napkin wrapped around it.

If some of this gets on your window tint, will it harm it?
No worries. Just wipe it all with a cloth and it'll be fine. It doesn't last forever either. You should do this procedure after 6 months.
