His love of Jethro Tull music is admirable. And to explain everything the way he does
I am glad to know I am not the only one who listens to this section of Thick as a Brick over, and over again. That was a perfect rendition. Thank you, Stewart.
Wow! My favourite section of of the Lp. Always gives me such emotion. Brilliant playing this solo on guitar Stewart. What a gift you are blessed with. Thanks so much ! ❤
Thank you for nailing it. Bought the album in summer of 72. I know it well. Wow your rendition was superb.
Perfectly captured, love this bit.
That was IMPECCABLY executed! What fun!
Love this massively. One of the best bits from one of the best albums and you've done a beautiful job of it
It amazes me how much he can do musically on one guitar.
Again! Balls of steel!
My favorite section of my favorite album...beautifully interpreted!
Agree.
Perfect once again Stewart. I'm fortunate to be working during these pandemic times and I'm finding myself tuning in as soon as I walk in the door. After the song, I stop to think, "Did I go to work today?"
How curious!
This is a wonderful treat. I used to refer to this excerpt as the “Where’s the hell was Biggles?” piece … I damaged one of the TaaB cassettes because of repeated rewinding operation as I had to listen to this piece several times a day … something about this tune. Mesmerizing.
And your rendition is a treat. Thank you!
I used to think it was “bagels “😂
back in 1996 while being a flute learner I discovered this piece of song in and old cassette from my dad's drawer below stereo system. From that moment I became a Tull fan. That same week I took the cassette to school and set up a band with some friends (who didn't knew WTH was that, but they loved it), I remember was really hard to make it sound though. I even had to get a second flute player but he wasn't into the jazzy/rock style and I tried my best to write his lines in sheet music for the 2nd flute. Anyway what drives me nuts about this song is that powerful flute duet, is amazing... the way Ian makes the flutes effects sound together is incredible. The Childhood Heroes is such a hidden gem. Thanks for sharing!
Wow! Nicely done. Gave me goose bumps.
Excellent, as usual!a great album of course also!
Das beste Solocover von einer meiner Lieblingsalben👍Danke‼
Das ist sehr nett - Vielen Dank.
Absolutely the best part of the TAAB masterpiece. Great interpretation. Nicely done!!
Agree with you. One of the best bits of music of all bits of music
Always put my bet on number one. Fantastic!
Utterly effing brilliant!

Always loved that part and the "Do you believe in the day" section on side 2. Thanks for posting! Sounds great

I'm 21 and I've just discovered this album and it really blew me away, I can't stop listening to this, this is also probably my favorite part as well, u did it amazingly ♥️♥️♥️
Thank you so much. It is an amazing album isn’t it
@@DailySporran yeah for sure, the seventies in general were such a great era for music. I've started listening to rock music since 8 month more or less, and my favorite bands so far are Pink Floyd, Dire Straits and Genesis just to name a few. Music of this kind is just not being produced anymore 😂 Now I'm gonna listen to more from Jethro Tull too! Would you have any particular recommendations? (Expect for aqualung and A Passion Play which im gonna listen to very soon)
@@swxldblob6285 Try Minstrel In The Gallery. And if you want more folky-prog, try Songs From The Wood. Enjoy the exploration!
@@DailySporran thank you so much 👍
@@DailySporran I've been listening to "songs from the wood" for quiete a while now and it's amazingggg!!! I particularly love "hunting girl", "ring out, solstice bells" and "the whistler" but all the other songs are awesome too! Gonna listen to "minstrel in the gallery" next!
Omg that was beyond amazing!
Ah thank you, it’s my favourite bit of music of all
you do that very well fella well done
Man thats great job
It takes a GENIUS like I. Anderson to compose a beautiful music for Jethro Tull. It takes another GENIUS like S. Wood to reproduce this complicated music note by note and sound even better than Ian. Strewart, you need to start a cover band (maybe even a one piece) to give pleasure to the Tull fans and make some real good money in the process. See you at the Royal Albert Hall or the Wembley Stadium !!!
Saw the band play this "middle bit" back in '73. You play great honor to the old JT.
Great cover ! Thank you very much Stewart !
Well played, nice one.
Genius, absolutely genius. Thank you for sharing
My favorite hunk o music ever! Thanks!
Thanks for posting this Stewart. Your performance is top notch as always.
Bravo. Majestic.
Utterly amazing. Thank you. :-)
Just realized who you are! We met long ago at some New Labour events. Very impressed (and jealous) of your guitar playing and singing skills.
Martin Rhodes thanks Martin. I hope to meet again soon,
Very interesting interpretation - well done, as always.
Amazing, just Amazing. !!!
This is unbelievably beautiful
Thank you so much
🎼
very good enjoy it when one gets to see others perform such magic music
Bravo! Perfectly done!
Yeah man...
this is brilliant ! do you do tutorials, Id love to be able to play these songs
Me too
Well done! My wife (on flute) and I (guitar) have been working on a 20 minute version of Thick As A Brick for years, and your video has given me some nice fill examples, so thank you.
For your first part ("in the clear white circles") try picking 3 3 10, 12 3 10 on the A D G strings, then strumming 10 3 3 11 on the A D G B strings, and see what you think of it.
Thanks John. I haven’t done the “In the clear white circles... “ but yes your suggestion sounds nice. I think the second phrase played in “circles of” and “morning wonder” probably needs an Eb and a C in the chord, as it is an Eb chord with a diminished 6th and a 2nd in it (or think of it as a Cminor with a 4th in the chord, played as an Am chord with the capo on 3rd fret, minus a finger on the D string).
@@DailySporran yeah sorry, not sure what I was thinking. After thousands of times playing it, you would imagine I would realise which part you were playing!!
@@goog646 No problem at all John. I do that all the time.
I would love to see that! :O I hope you upload it someday!
Very much enjoyed this .as you say the greatest concept album ever and you do Tull a great service
Thank you very much Bill
@@DailySporran you should take it on the road if you don't do already .when Covid allows
@@freeconvention I may give it a go before I am too old....
@@DailySporran yes Stewart, do it. I would pay good money to see you perform.
Espetacular! Não me canso de ouvir esta interpretação!
Muito obrigado
The great nagging question of all time - where the hell WAS Biggles?
Resting down in Cornwall…
