I have the grapefruit flavor. I don't think it was necessary but we used it while hiking at 10,000 ft in Utah. I am pretty out of shape and I'd like to think that it helps. Did not go back up a second time without it.
I can definitely say it helps with hang overs tho

I would like to know how to tell if the small, personal size is empty. It doesn't make a sound when depressed, as the bigger cans do.

I bought 4 cans of this a couple of days ago, and if I don't feel a difference after using it, I'll be trashing this product whenever I can. I'm 64 yrs old, and I get winded when mowing the lawn, so I'll try Boost Oxygen at that time.
