Andrew I think this is it, I don't see Nicko doing another major tour, Bruce started his own band, that's another sighn, Harris wants to do more British Lion stuff that's another sign, yep,see them while you can,
@@user-bl6ne3hc6nwrong! Nicko is going to continue! Bruce did not start his own band, he just did a solo tour for the first time in years! Steve is NOT abandoning his “child” that is MAIDEN! They have not even mentioned an end point! They already have plans for the 50th anniversary of the band! They will also be recording a new album but not yet have the date frame from its release!
@GNewcomb-q9v after this tour, they'll take a break, come back if they have a new album, Steve last week said there is no plans for a new album , it would be another 2 years or so to do a tour, nicko will be 74 75 no way in hellhe can do a nother tour, I did not hear about a 50 anniversary , I guarantee it's not going to be a major tour if they do play it will be festivals, Harris is going to be in his 70s on the next tour, sorry I don't see it happening,
Iron Maiden are a classic band. And classic in the sense they're now much older. They're great, but for how long? They can't do these long tours anymore. But man, I still love them to death. I've been a fan since 1982.
I just saw them in Auckland and it was one of the best performances I've seen from the lads! the first time i saw them was when i was in high school in 1992 on the Fear of the Dark tour, it amazes me that at 48 I'm still able to go and see Iron Maiden! This tour was especially impactful for me because Somewhere in Time was featured heavily and that album was the one which got me and all my mates into Iron Maiden back in the late 80's.
@@sbeehre thanks for sharing, awesome that that particular album shaped your love for the band! Love how their tours are all different and can showcase certain eras of the band! 🤘🔥
Yup i was there too on Monday and I saw them on that 92 show at Logan Campbell also. Bruce vocals were disappointing that night in 92 but on Monday he was freakin great aye! Loved the show :)

Ive seen them 31 times, starting back in 1983. Next week will be 2 more times in Tokyo! I have seen hundreds of shows, even spent a lot of time backstage as a musician in a former life. And Iron Maiden is the only band I will get on a plane and fly around the world to see, they have never let me down, and the fans are always great. Crazy to remember the hype when they announced Bruce and Adrian back in the band and they becoming a sextet, and the line up is still the same, it's been 25 years already.

@@thestrum71 it’s amazing how those bands we hear when we were younger influence us so much! That’s Amazing!
I've been a Maiden fan for 35 years now. I've been with them through ups and downs. When Bruce got throat cancer, I resigned myself to the belief that his voice would never be the same again. But then he did The Mandrake Project Tour and is now doing this new tour and he sounds incredible! There are performances he did in the Mandrake Project Tour that rival performances he did 30 years ago. Amazing! This is my favorite band. They got me into heavy metal and they have been a part of my life since I was first introduced to them. I've met them a number of times. Bruce is shockingly down to Earth, very intellectual, very creative, very funny and just a really nice guy. Great video!
How they are playing LIVE is AMAZING!!!
The only downfall for me is that they aren't playing enough older songs.
@@dibber43 yeah I noticed that they left some of their catalogue off the list in this “Future Past” tour. Probably as they were focusing on a specific time period. However pretty good that they have that many great songs to choose from 🤘
Nicko can't play older stuff anymore after his stroke
No just this tour is more of the later songs. The older ones are no more fast or furious than ones they did.
Im very glad they play more newer songs, i would love more from senjutsu and less run to the hills, number of the beast, the trooper etc
But they are the ultimate classics, at least did the Trooper.
Good review. My history with Maiden is similar- Terrified me as a kid but i appreciate their professionalism and music skills, now, at 51. I ESPECIALLY appreciate that Maiden never found it necessary to go all satan on us like a lot of other bands have. As a result, they put on an amazing, creatively epic show.

A Maiden fan since 1980. First saw them in 1981 and last saw them for this tour in 2023, and about 20 in between. You've done a nice job at capturing the essence of Maiden as a band and as live performers. Their drop-off after 40+ years has been negligible, if at all, and in many respects they're a more impressive band today than they were in the 80s.
@talismanmia2537 thanks for sharing that. That’s great to hear that the quality hasn’t dropped off since then. Testament to their passion and work ethic. A great show.

I’m 57. My first concert was Maiden’s “Piece of Mind” tour, 1983 in Lincoln, Nebraska. I haven’t actively consumed their new material since “Powerslave,” but they are without fail the band I see every time they’re nearby. Best bang for the concert buck, from the musicianship and vocals to the pure theater of it. They were my first, they’ll be my last. I’m largely ambivalent when bands past their prime finally retire, but I will genuinely grieve when Maiden hangs it up. And I have a feeling they will do so when they know it’s time vs. milk it for years beyond when they’re worth seeing. If I have one critique of Maiden, it’s that I wish they’d work with a producer who could reconnect them to the classic Maiden sound, like Priest and Accept did. As RazorFist put it, this is a band that hasn’t been told no for 40 years, and it frequently shows in their studio output. But live? Few if any rivals.
Best band on the planet. Period.
Saw the first of the Sydney shows. Having seen them in the 80's I figured it was kinda now or never to see them again. Enjoyed it immensely as did my 25 year old daughter

However for some reason don't know why after awhile Bruce's vocals begin to annoy and wear on me a bit live. Like a solo song for example Tears of a Dragon love it.
