A big thanks to the guys at CNC Router Parts, they've been great to work with and were very quick to answer the million questions I had for them. I really enjoyed getting to meet them and seeing their place. Check them out at www.cncrouterparts.com
Hearing that my CNC plasma cutting table is ready to be picked up, I take a short road trip up to the Seattle area to pick it up. After a quick tour of the warehouse, I headed back home with the table in a bunch of boxes in the back of the mom's 'burban. I loved putting the table together, it took me back to being a kid, spending countless hours playing with legos, kinects, and erector sets. Once the table is built, it was time for the first test cut. I'm so excited the barn has a CNC table! It's been a dream of mine for a very long time.

Perfect vid. Not much talking, no odd music, down to earth, a pup and a CNC PLASMA TABLE! Wonderful!!!! Thanx.

My son and I built a 4'x8' CNC Plasma Table a while back. He already had a Hypertherm 45. We have cut 1/2" diamond plate with it. When he needs to cut thicker, we mount an oxy/acetylene torch instead of the plasma torch and have cut 1". We have been running it about 18 months and I am still amazed by it making cuts.

WooHOO!!! When you said, "Fire in the hole!" and then it starting cutting, I got super excited and almost stood up myself in celebratory cheer! This machine is so cool!! *Bravo and congratulations on your new toy.* This is gonna be so fun to live vicariously through your CNC videos! lol Can't wait to see the next project!

Congratulations on a fine plasma CNC. I have a 4'x2' PRO CNC Router Parts CNC and truly enjoyed watching you build your table as it brought back many of the same great memories. After you have a few hundred hours on the table, consider going back and checking the swivel nut bolts for tightness. They won't be loose, but you will likely get a quarter to a half turn on some of them. I love my CNC and wish I had bought a larger table now. I can always extend the table and that's one of the great features offered by CNC Router Parts. I look forward to seeing more videos of your plasma projects....and Drake!

I saw CNC Router Parts' (now Avid CNC) 'Tested' video, then I saw yours and Frank Howarth's videos and decided to check them out. That started a year ago for me. I picked my CNC machine up yesterday, Sept. 9th, 2019. Like you I drove up and picked it up, but I only had a little hatchback so it took 2 trips. Fortunately, I live only 25 miles away from them. Now, I get the fun job of assembly.
I wanna thank you for the content you provide, like others, I have enjoyed many of your projects. I look forward to more.

Congrats on the table. You have probably already seen this, but Sketchup is horrible for cutting circles and curves, it segments it terribly. We even tried making the segments smaller, but that actually induced a vibration in the gantry. We broke down and bought a couple different programs. AutoCad and Solid Works. I still sketch with Sketchup, but then do the cut files in Autocad.
Love the channel. Reminds me of my youth on the farm in Iowa.

Well that was interesting. I bought a plasma table from LDR Motion Systems this year and I am real happy with it. I watched you put it together and get it going and I know the anxiety of wondering if it is going to work. I also have the Hypertherm, great plasma cutter, I had to install the voltage divider myself. Easy. Working with Inkscape, CAD and Sheetcam now. Lots to learn, good skill set to have if you fabricate a lot. Good to see a kindred spirit out there.

Awesome video, I totally get you about being like a kid at Christmas setting this up and the cable management, I'd be just the same! Awesome work, congratulations on it working first time :)
When I worked in a company that manufactured control systems for power and water plants, the cable management inside the cubicles was so nice, with spiro-wrap, CPM sleeveing and rubber binding sleeves. Seeing/building one from plans and delivery of parts all the way through to testing and site installation was so satisfying!

I loved my erector set with all its parts in a really sturdy metal case. When my son was little we began with kits of LEGOS of all sorts... and later graduated to a huge set of K'NEX. We spent vast numbers of hours together building all sort of things. I see your connection of all those and assembling your CNC table. : -)

You should check Keith Fenner's old videos on how he set his plasma cutter (different one, but the rules apply) in order to keep the whole affair clean and prolong the life of the machine. His, for years now in use, still looks like brand new. Which any plasma cutter operator can attest to it being a chore.

You wana know how I square up my premier plasma table... I ram it to the end of the table and let them both collide. Yeah it was cheaper then avid way cheaper the a torchmate or fastcut but I don't know how they let machines go with out having limit switches and a way to adjust the square esp. when the gantry is garbage unboxed plate with a 30lbs 2x3 that doesn't attach to the ends.
