- "Christmas Come Early!" Little bit of metal detecting action out at the park. To truly have a great time metal detecting... you've got to "learn to love the JUNK!" It's just part of the process... some places have less junk than others but pretty much anywhere you go there will always be some kind of trash in the ground.
Swinging around the XP ORX today with the little HF Elliptical coil, it feels very similar to the SP24 Simplex setup but much lighter.

Here's a piece of advice, Without reading numbers, Notice what types of coins your machine finds, If it finds Nickels,, its a good gold machine, 12 khtz and up for gold. If it finds pennies no good for jewelry. If it finds dimes like the extera 705. You can tell what you're over just by the tones. A silver dime will ring very high and you'll find it at least 14 inches deep. The old detectors are good detectors. Every detector with discrimination will always try to discriminate the signal out. More swings over the object the more it will try to get rid of the signal. Always pinpoint your target at first sound.
I was considering the ORX but went with the Golden Mask 6. I went over a tot lot I had just gone over with the Simplex/SP24. Found 2 dimes, 2 pennies and a small silver ear ring in just a few minutes before the tots showed up. I'm really liking the GM6 except it has the same loud volume issue haha. It's a 5, 15, 30khz machine and is light and well balanced.
Sounds like its treating you good so far! You'd think these detectors would have volume control but hey as long as we can work around it 👍
I never heard of the gold mask 6, is it a european machine?
@digginggopher ya it's from Bulgaria. There are a few videos on UA-cam. It's an analog machine with digital display. I don't use it much anymore, it's just a little quirky and I don't like wearing wired headphones. It's very loud and has no volume control. I've since gotten the Deus 2 WS6 and the Legend.
Bruh the Nintendo 64 came out in 96. That would be the regular NES in 1989 as the Super Nintendo didn’t come out till 92. 👍🏼. Those bottle caps are cool as hell. Love your garden to!

I have learned to LOVE the JUNK brother, I went out today and hit 3 parks, I dug 300 targets, I dug $1.78 in change even got a 2 Euro coin as well. I got caps and pull tabs, Bobby pins and foil, lighters and pens, nails and screws, a pendant, a dog tag, a earring a bling adjustable kids ring, a jewel from an earring, a lanyard belt clip with a carabiner, a railroad spike, screwdriver heads, fingernail clippers, half a tweezer, glass, paperclips, wire and magnets, saftypins and chain, a hand to a clock, sorry for going on and on but maybe this is quirky enough to let you know I got to the END, LOL
Now that's a lot of targets dug!! Awesome man.. just gotta keep on digging them up!!

Keep an eye on Nokta Legend software updates. One either released or about to be released that specifically deals with beach mode issues.

I am loving the ORX. It goes deep, finding out how many deep coins I’ve missed w the Simplex/sp24. I’m using the round HF and the X35 coils. Check out my channel, not much there but I tested some gold rings.
I checked that test out, enjoyed it! I like to see the wide range gold can fall and just how different it can react depending on shape and such... just never know whats under the hole!!
Great video ! I like they way you have fun detecting, it’s not always about the rings and gold just having fun finding whatever is out there.

Hard choice, Simplex with sp24 coil for the newer parks is probably my go to but I prefer the Equinox on the beach 👍
