- METAL DETECTING! Swinging the XP ORX Metal Detector with the 9.5" Elliptical Coil. You know how the Vanquish is kind of like the "Baby Nox?" Well the ORX is kind of like a "Baby Deus!"
Passed on the Legend and pulled the trigger on an ORX, showed up yesterday. Hoping to get out this weekend, unreal how light these machines are.
I love to detect unconventional spots. That detector is interesting. I haven't heard of those before. Thanks for sharing your experience.

Unconvential spots are fun. You could find anything anywhere, but in those unconventional spots and the trashy spots, you tend to find a bigger array of weird stuff
Was going to buy the Simplex + but ended up finding this ORX metal detector and now I'm in love this is what I need 😍 good price for a detector and better than a Simplex and more affordable than an equinox 800 this ORX will do for me
Simplex is great.... but I love the light weight of the ORX... it's hard to find another machine like it!

60% of all The Jewelry I find comes in The Foil Range…… if the foil signals sound solid ….. & I’m in a jewelry hot spot …..gotta dig them …The ORX sounds like it’s running smooth and Responsive….. Reminds me of The Tesoro Detectors …..Thanks for sharing
Do you use the elliptical coil for metals and coins and jewelry?

Is it better to select the elliptical coil if you are fossicking for both metals (coins, relics etc) and gold? Will that coil be good for both? I dont want to buy two coils

Hay dude if I get a channel going of my own, from one casual metal detectorist too another do you think it would be ok if I use that terminology what was it ho yeh thingamajigger if I could it make me happy that is if it's ok with you?

I bet they had old school Christmas lights on that palm at one time. Great video with the ORX. I'm still considering one even though I have a Golden Mask 6 on the way lol.

Hi Austin thanks for showing us the XP ORX in action. It seems to work very well how , I am impressed but is it water proof? I started with a Bounty Hunter that said it was water proof but as soon as I put it in some very shallow water it stopped working. I took it to my black car parked in the hot sun and left it for a day in the super hot dry car and a day latter the coil was dried out it started working again. I have a neighbour who has a very basic detector and he might up grade to a better one , so which one is better for him the Simplex or the XP ORX and which one is cheapest and water proof? Causal detectorist? nooo you are out every day detecting ! That makes you a Pro in my books!
The Simplex at 254.00 is the best detector for the price and what it will do. The ORX though is a beast compared to the Simplex. Even then the Simplex can hang with the big boys.
