Oh my ! This has to be the most incredibly beautiful Hatteras yacht I've seen in quite a long time. Love Hatteras boats with a passion. From Miami , and when I was a kid, spent alot of time at the Marina's on a friend's parents yacht. Went alot of places on it. As to Hatteras were the best in upper class design. This boat is trendously pristine. They've done a fine job at maintaining it's beauty. It's got a tub and shower that's great. Cedar lined closet space a must. This boat brings back really great memories. It's so beautiful with no comparison.
Looks like a lot of work went into this Hatteras. I love everything they have done. The only thing I would do open the wall between the galley and the salon. Everything else is perfect. Also very good job on the video.
Hatteras builds boats with no compromise of anything. Period, one of the finest builders on the planet. I have inside connections to both the shutdown High Point plant, as well as the consolidated Newbern plant. My neighbor was the second shift boss of the High Point layup. I learned glass and painting,, a damn perfectionist. When I thought my boat was done, he would say, sand her down and do it again. No one believed I had a wooden boat until they looked inside. You could shave by the reflection in the Imron. Yes, all Hatteras boats were gel-coat but sprayed and buffed Imron. That paint is over a grand a gallon now.
One of the best I ever seen I like the fact that has a lot of bunk beds If I had the money I would have made an offer!! Hatteras has done an excellent job on this Boat!!
Harry, this is Chuck Townsend, close friend of your father and Ulla, and owner of Carry-On. He was my inspiration to restore this Yacht. I know how much they loved Setag, and I have had the same pleasure with CO... Best regards, Chuck
Harry: I owned SETAG from 2004 to 2017 and loved every minute of it. I named her "ARISTEIA" I spoke to your Dad once or twice soon after I bought the boat. If you would like to hear about the boat, I would be happy to share what I know. To reach me, contact Ed Chapdelaine, broker at Seattle Yacht Sales in Fort Lauderdale: 954-646-1609. He will get you to me.
Could write a check for it right now, I mean the tender. Just not sure I could keep the Whaler at that level of pristine. Anyway, What a fine vessell this yacht is.
Next time you shoot a video if you are using an iPhone put it on auto for brightness. When you shot the overhead I could see bits of chrome but that was it.
Thank you for the video. "Carry On" is a beautiful boat! We also have a 65" Hatteras LRC 1985, hull #11 Hatteras only made 13. May I ask what is the hull # on "Carry On" My best ... Gary
Beautiful boat, a real credit to its owner, I have seen far newer boats no where near this condition. Top speed I assume around 12 knots and cruises anywhere from 8 to 10 knots, will have to look you up on my return to Florida in March,April. Air draught ?
Great question Eric, I'm not sure. I'll get back to you with an answer shortly. Feel free to reach out directly as well if you have further questions: mporter@ecys.com
Carry On cruises at 8 knots and does about 1nm per gallon at that speed giving her a realistic range of about 2,500nm. Hatteras says the range is ~3000nm and that is possible depending on conditions and speed.
East Coast Yacht Sales Okay, very nice. Thank you for getting back to me. I’m still looking and compiling a list and I’m getting there. It’s been a year of looking and I’m close to a decision, or at least I thought I was. This Hatteras 65 is really incredible. What is the nearest airport to you that handles business jets? Thank you. (I would be coming from California).
Hi Andy, Michael Porter here. Feel free to call my cell 401-619-2122 and we can discuss a showing. The boat is located a few minutes from the Vero Beach Regional airport and about an hour and a half from Palm Beach International Airport.
East Coast Yacht Sales Hi Michael, Okay great, I’ll talk to the crew about that airport and will call your cell if it looks like I’ll be coming to take a look. I’m down to 3 beautiful boats now, all pre-owned, but it’s so tempting to come look at yours in-person. The owner has done so much TLC-it’s juts amazing to see quality maintenance like that.
$589,000 on this day: 23 March 2020 Why some of them absolutely avoid just listing a price is beyond me!! Probably because most of them really struggle to justify it. You never know, they might get confident and good at their job one day.
@@IsThisAvailable550 They spent $1,300,000.00 on the refit. OMG I guess the old adage is true, "A boat is a hole in the water into which you pour money” , “A yacht, they say, is a hole in the water surrounded by wood into which money is poured”
It’s so nice when owners don’t “modernize “ a beautiful boat like this the wood work on this boat is wonderful
Very true
Dose'nt get better than that!!!! Will add to my wish list. The Hatteras name speaks for itself---AWESOME boat!!!
Hatteras always feel like a home ,while even the newest yachts feel like hotels ,💕 Hatteras 👍
For years this was my dream boat. It seems to have everything you could want in a liveaboard and a long range economical displacement hull.
Love this boat. Beautiful layout and interior furnishings. And seems MUCH bigger thank at 65.

Classic beauty! Cedar closets, nice touch. Hatteras blue interior and rich woodwork are a classic look.
Beautiful Gentleman’s cruiser.
Cheer~~~a person employed to carry luggage and other loads, especially in a railroad station, airport, or hotel, or port😊

Thanks, we agree!
Very nice yacht. I will keep it in mind while I search. Thanks keep it up
The past owners did a great job at keeping this yacht in perfect condition.
Just a beautiful yacht! Perfect I do believe!👍✌️
It sure is!
It is a beautiful Yacht, well thought out, nice appointments.
This is a beautiful, immaculate live aboard boat.
I can't believe how low the price is compared to the recent refit cost, (sickening & appalling).
Beautiful and well designed MV. Wish the dialog included a little about cruse info like nm range and speed.
Thank you, she cruises at 8 knots and does about 1nm per gallon at that speed giving her a range of about 2,500nm
Sweet boat! Maybe when I win lotto! Great job with the video tour as well.
Thank you!
Thank you for this well explained video !
Great vessel. My father loved his. M/V SETAG. If I'm not mistaken only 11 built.
They are timeless yachts for sure! Thanks for sharing 👍

This yacht doesn’t look 55 years old amazing
Is this the Hatteras with the engines all aft with V-drives? a great refit..
Could write a check for it right now, I mean the tender. Just not sure I could keep the Whaler at that level of pristine. Anyway, What a fine vessell this yacht is.
Glad you like it! Thanks for watching
Says below $589,000. Three bunk bed rooms and one stateroom. Big galley. Thanks
What a beautiful boat. I've always loved Hatteras yachts. I'm surprised at how tight some of the areas are, though.
Thanks for sharing!
beautiful. only issue is the galley layout was disappointing. what, no oven? seriously?
No oven or is that what was in the corner between the sink and stovetop?
There is the countertop Brava smart oven and a convection oven over the stove.

She really is in excellent condition! The air draft is 23.5', and cruise speed is 8 knots, top speed is about 10.
May I ask, is there any storagespace onboard?
There is THIS much: ✋-------🤚
What is anyone's experience with Detroit Diesel's as a marine engine?
are fuel tanks steel or FRP ? I talked to Bill O about this boat a little yesterday

@@EastCoastYachtSales Most likely fire proof glass tanks in that time.
Just confirmed the fuel tanks are aluminum (not aluminum alloy) and the water tanks are fiberglass.
Want it!

She is a fiberglass hull. 👍
