Hello fragrance family! 🥰💜 I hope this in-depth comparison video will be helpful if you haven't tried the new Goddess Intense, but if you have, what is your take on this new 2024 perfume release? Are you on team EDP or you're cheering for the team Intense? Thank you for always respecting honesty in my reviews even if our opinions on the matter differ.🌺🌹
There's something in the way you review fragrances makes me want to listen to you. Hence, I have subscribed. Also, I am super excited to get the Burberry Goddess OG next month.
Thanks for this in-depth comparison, Miris! This is exactly what I was looking for to help me decide between the two Goddess fragrances. I loved how you broke down the scent profiles and performance of each one. Super helpful!
I’ve been following fragrance UA-camrs for a long time now. I really like the way that you don’t try and sell the perfumes. So many that I have followed are quite obviously now being given incentive to rave about particular brands. I can tell strait away. Good luck to these people it is only natural to do this and earn a living too. But I hope you keep your reviews totally non biased. I’ll stay with you if you do. Keep it up. Loved this review. I will now go check out your other videos.
Loved your review. So informativ and helpful, love that you give an analysis on the best way/ the best settings to wear the parfume. I some time worry about my parfumes having too big a silage for wear at work.
I'm one of those who was hoping for something different and was taken aback by the opening. But an hour later I kept getting whiffs of warm vanilla and I couldn't stop sniffing. So thumbs up! And I am sure the vanilla will get thicker as it macerates and the juice gets darker.
Yes, I'm sure the scent will get better as it macerates, but the opening is a bit challenging. I'm ok with it, but it could definitely be better. Thanks for sharing your thoughts Karen! 🥰🥰
I thought I was the only one who felt that way I really love the dry down it smells beautiful I’m glad I purchased it I also have the original I layered them together to see how it combines and I have to say it’s so pretty it’s perfect together
I agree. They have different vibes and different scent profiles so they won't feel redundant even if someone has both in their collection. I'm glad you love them, they are really good, thus they got high ratings. 😉🙃
That's great! I think that everyone who likes lavender and patchouli will enjoy Intense, but those who don't might struggle with it. Nonetheless, I like them both just like you do. 😉🥰
I own the OG Goddess and I was really looking forward to the intense version, sadly its not a scent i would go for. It’s so different from the original and the opening is so off-putting for me. Kinda wished they would’ve just added a stronger, woodier base such as a creamy sandalwood or cashmere wood and amped up the cacao and placed it in the heart but kept everything else the same. Hopefully if they ever come out with more flankers in the future they would consider heading in this direction but as for now the new Intense version is a pass for me. I’m still happy with my OG bottle and would highly recommend it over the intense version. Love your in depth review ❤
They certainly messed up the opening of the Intense. I can live through it, but it definitely isn't my favorite part. The opening of the EDP was much better, while the dry down is a bit better to me in the Intense version, but I'm sure they'll launch many more flankers in the years to come so I'm sure everyone will be able to find a perfume that will suit their taste. 😉
I ADORE my Goddess original EAU d’Parfum! I don’t smell any Lavender in it. I absolutely HATE lavender. I bought YSL Libre and it smelled good in the bottle, extremely stinky on my skin because the lavender was so prominent. I tried to give it to my daughter-she didn’t want it either. One of my sisters LOVES lavender so I gave it to her. I would not like the Goddess intense if the lavender is prominent. I am a gourmand connoisseur to the hilt. The sweeter, the heavier, the better. I still have my old but not “turned” bottle of Lancôme Poeme-so you get the idea, I’m also a vanilla freak! Goddess EDP drives me wild!
EDP is absolutely gorgeous. I can see that you're a true vanilla lover. Intense probably won't be your cup of tea, but I'm sure in 2025 another Goddess flanker will come out. Maybe, it will be a gourmand delicacy just for you. 👌
What do you think about the new givenchy l'interdit absolu? I love edp and I like intense but edt musk is annoying dislike it, but you describe the smell very very well very smart thank you
I love almost the entire L'Interdit range with L'Interdit Intense being my favorite so I can't wait to try the new L'Interdit Intense Absolu, but it still isn't available in stores in Croatia where I live. When I purchase it, I'll test it for a while to be able to make a descriptive and informative review as I always do so stay tuned. The full in-depth review and the comparison to the original L'Interdit Intense will be uploaded with time as soon as I get it. 😉🙃
I got Burberry Godness present from my Bf. And I tested it without seeing the notes. To me I smelled vanilla, ginger, spicy, chocolate, and after 6h I smell a buttery biscuit. After I checked the notes and saw lavandel in, I was surprised. I do not smell lavandel and also, I think I do not like lavandel in perfumes, I have a hard time with YSL Libre as well. So I just love Burberry Godness, I am happy lavandel is not too strong, and I do not feel it❤
Yes, lavender isn't that pronounced in the EDP version (especially when you compare it with the Intense flanker) and the scent of EDP is more about vanilla itself, rather than about the lavender. I'm so glad you like it. 🥰🥰🥰
Yes, a person needs to love lavender to enjoy the Intense. I love lavender in fragrances just like you so to me, the Intense is a very good release. 😉🥰
All three feature vanilla-lavender combination, but they are pretty different. Burberry Goddess EDP and Goddess Intense are much warmer and both lack the complexity, ambery and floral aspect Libre Intense has. Libre Intense is one of my favorite perfumes in the entire world so I prefer it to both Goddess EDP and Goddess Intense. If you want to find out more about Libre Intense, check out this video: ua-cam.com/video/LUyOvKTNyhY/v-deo.html
I actually like this one and prefer to the OG, but I do not love the first 2 minutes 😄 I think maybe because of the patchouli it reminds me more of Mon Guerlain intense. In my opinion Mon Guerlain intense is a more refined perfume and I would recommend getting that one over Goddess intense to anyone looking for this type of scent profile. I find Goddess intense a bit rough around the edges.
I agree with everything you said. Yes, they messed up the opening. The original has a dreamy top and that lemony zing from the ginger really stands out😍, but the lavender solo act in the opening of Intense is a bit hard to digest.😶🌫 I'm ok with it, but not in love with it so I can understand why some people don't like it, but the dry down is great and much, much more enjoyable. ☺ Thanks for sharing your experience! 🥰
Hi Miri! Totally😊 the og has such a nice opening that makes you happy when applying… but then it is quite simple. Funny, because to my nose it smells like a lot of vanilla with raisins and cacao. Which is really nice… for a body butter(😄) but for a fragrance I prefer to have more excitement☺️ although I def will use up my bottle as a home or night scent but not gonna repurchase.
@@Andie6 You're so lucky to be able to smell cacao! 😊 Yes, the original is unfortunately quite simplistic in the dry down...😅 But it's so popular so I'm sure many other Goddess flankers will be launched in the years to come. I can already predict there will probably be a floral, gourmand and EDT version of this fragrance. 🙈🤷♀
@@Miri-s I can imagine your predictions are right 😃 yes, I can smell cacao but not the dark dense cacao powder, rather a Nesquik cacao… it is pleasant but not groundbreaking. I can totally understand the popularity though, it is hard to dislike.

I have both and I use both🥰 In fact I like patchouli, so maybe that’s why I like the intense version.

Mon Guerlain is not my favorite at all. My. Husband don't like it too, but He loves Goddess on me.
I like the original, but it is not a love. The intense is leaning masculine and is too incensy, smokey.
