@@SYDiagnosticsthanks for replying. I've no idea why the SAS wasn't giving me a reading, but I tried again the next morning and it can straight up and everything was fine. I need a scanner with scope ability. My mechanic expert told me the following..will forescan withe the elm adapter do this for me? "Yes, a CKP tone ring could cause this since there is a skipped tooth there that the computer looks for to know when to watch the firing sequence starting with cylinder one. IF the tone ring is wobbling or the missing tooth has an imperfection. That could get the ignition pulse timing just a little off. A scope is needed to check that." Hello, I had to replace an injector seal on my 1.6 tdci c-max. I was doing the ABS module at the same time so things were left disassembled for about a week while I waited for the module to be repaired. After getting everything together, I'm getting a no start condition. It's showing only 210 kpa of fuel rail pressure in Forscan. Does this mean my fuel system lost prime while sitting? It did start and run for a couple seconds but stopped, and now will not start. I am also hearing from the tempo when turning over that I am low on compression in one cylinder. Does it sound possible that I could have caused this when replacing the seal? I never heard it cranking for more than a half second because it always started right up.
It's possible if the system was left "open" thar it could now need priming once more. Regarding the compression issue, it's hard to say unless you haven't got the injector sealing correctly but usually you can hear that
in the "select PID's" menu... what do i have to activate, to check if my boost solenoid is working correctly on my focus 1.6 tdci? Im getting underboost EML, But turbo is fairly new, No splits in boost hoses. When engine is cold, i get full power, But as engine warms up, I get less boost and power, (which i believe is because the boost solenoid is bolted to back of engine) But i dont know exactly what PID i need to live data check on.. Thanks
I bought Forscan Lite as I don't have a Win10 laptop (but have several desktops, frustratingly - they won't go in the car! :D ). I'm having very occasional misfires - over the course of a 45 min urban drive to work I get 3 or 4, always at low revs when applying throttle when pulling away or shifting coming off a roundabout. I was hoping for "Mode 6" per cylinder misfire information but that doesn't seem to be a thing, all I can go on is the "Number of misfires" value. This actually sits at 25450 something and increasing, but I've only had the car a few weeks so I just assume this is all the misfires it's had over its lifetime. Any thoughts?
