- This is a steam powered traction engine driving a farm threshing machine and bailer that separates the corn or wheat from the straw. The straw is collected into bails and tied with string, while the seeds are collected into sacks. The traction engine is from the 1890s and the wooden thresher from the 1940s. All the moving parts are driven from one pully on the engine fly wheel. It is a powerful and dangerous combination worked by six men, from rural West Sussex, England, UK.
