Iustinus Cletus I live near were he lived as a child, you have Honorable blood in you sir, make him proud,He was one of the greatest American gens this country has had.
You know what's kind of funny? When I started watching, I was literally right in the middle of re-reading Sharpe's Eagle. I just sort of saw what you'd re-named after the South Essex, and thought: "I see what you did there."
Or the black pearl or Hms victory or Hms kiri or Hms shoot first ask questions later if you wanna know about kiri and victory watch someone called Unitlosttube and watch their civ 5 lets play
Lionheart, your vids of TW are a life saver. I have been without a PC for the last couple months and won't have one till October. So your vid are the only way I can seem my fav games. Going to do these vids for Rome 2?
Lion heart that is the indian battle music for Empire so you can't change it, just like last of the Mocchicans song comes whenever you fight Native Americans
you could call one of the cannons "roaring meg" which is a true nick name for a real cannon.you could also a cannon "humpty dumpty".I learned this in a nursery rhyme that Humpty Dumty was a large cannon in the English Civil War. The town that Humpty Dumpty guarded was was where Humpty Dumpty sat. The Parliamentarians shot a cannon and hit the wall where Humpty sat and then Humpty fell. The king's horses and men tried put the cannon back up on the wall but was just to heavy for them to maneuver
A thumbs up and subscribe for you, good sir, I've been hugely enjoying this Campaign and I look forward to the next instalment, don't forget about your territories in the Caribbean! And might I suggest the Dragoons be named Montgomery Company, or perhaps Monty's Boys. ^_^
Darn, I just watched all of the parts from the start to now and im all caught up, this is a great series and if you totally win do another series where you make everyone revolt against you. (Someone on Reddit has done the same thing only in pictures)
In a defensive position you can do a lot, in a French campaign I survived 4 stacked Spanish armies in a very battered fort. It's my own opinion but they can be nice
Hey Lion i love this serie of yours and i hope you don't attack sweden. If you don't attack sweden they'll always help you all the time when you are in war :D
Yup, France had territory in India for a long time, at first large tracks of land, but by the end of the colonial empire a few cities and trade ports. Come independence (1947) they were given to the Indian people to control.
Roaring Meg is a cannon on the walls of Londonderry. I was the first cannon fired during the siege of Derry, When James 2 tried to take it and kill allk protestants in it.
Some regiment names for you; Devonshire regiment, 32nd (Cornwall) Regiment of Foot, 46th (South Devonshire) Regiment of Foot, Duke of Cornwall's Light Infantry
We actually had territories in India. But if I remember it started at the second half of the 17th century and ended after WWII ( I'm not sure of the date ) ;)
lionheart it would mean a lot to me when you get you first light foot to the 53rd Shropshire Light as my family has a lot of military history in the regiment
I think your fine I enjoy your commentary and I think there is no use for going through the hassle of buying and putting up a face cam, just my opinion. I also have a name for one of your units, the 10th regiment of Austin , I would appreciate it if you named one of your units this name. Thanks for the amazing videos keep up the good work. : )

Hey lionheart, i got real Canadian Regiments that have infamous worldwide reputations, please use these since you have troops trained in Canada 8. Royal Highland Regiment of Canada aka The Black watch 7. The Royal Highland Fusiliers of Canada 6. The Royal 22nd Regiment aka The Van Doos 5. The Royal Canadian Regiment 4. The Royal Canadian Dragoons 3. Lord Strathcona's Horse 2. Princess Patricia's Canadian Light Infantry 1. The Royal New Brunswick regiment aka The North Shore Regiment
I've no doubt the French Army caused massive casualties; that's very likely to happen when one enormous army is fighting another for four years. Many of them also mutinied. I don't know what you mean by 'part' of the government surrendering - the government surrendered, it's a matter of fact. They in turn gave the order of armistice to the soldiers.
The French as a nation haven't been known for their military skills since the days of napoleon. All the testicles of the French died with napoleon. Of course the resistance and so forth were very brave men, but as a majority the French were walked over in many of their conflicts and that includes the World Wars. In 1914 the finest armies in the world were the British and German, certainly not the French. French conscripts were basically thrown into the meatgrinder.
Could you name a unit of artillery "1st Independent Norwegian Battery" or some like that for one cannon unit? Since you've got a surplus of names for the infantry based units.
Well yes, World War 1? France caused massive casualties with it's forces even though they started the war wearing red trousers and blue waistcoats. By world war 2 I hope you mean 'part' of the government and 'part' of the military surrenders, as there was still the Free French forces who fought alongside the British, Americans and Canadians and other allies in North Africa, Europe and various other theaters of war. After Napoleon we have the Crimean war, their conquests of Africa and Indochina.
And of course world war 1. I know the line originates from The Simpsons it's just a well know phrase, and ever so slightly entertaining. I know it sounded patronising but it was not meant to be so. If you want to know why I'm slightly going a bit ott with this it's because half my family are french, they helped with resistance and intelligence work in W W 2 and when people start making jokes about them lying on their back it can sometimes pull a nerve... I hope we can put this behind us.
name a sapoy unit the 54th Massachusetts they were the most famous colored regiment in the american civil war and were just reactivated in 2008 way after the war ended in 1865
soo could you possibly consider Royal Ulster Brigade as a name please:) sorry if im spamming i just dunno if you see this... anyway love the vids youre doing really well, good luck
I don't think any army involved in Crimea really distinguished themselves, and France did very poorly against the Prussians in the 1870s. Conquering parts of the world in which people are largely unable to defend themselves isn't much to brag about either. Look, I don't think any of this is something to be ashamed of, or anything like that, but you shouldn't let your feelings make you ignore what happened.
The French surrendered, 10/10 for realism.
Its kinda stupid that the artillery men keep the cannons with them when they break. You'd think that they would just run for their lives.
"The n zoom. The n zoom! You press the n button and you get n zoom."
I was under the impression it was called END zoom.
the duke of Wellington (Arthur Wellesley) is my ancestor.
You beat me!
Jay Wellesley No one beats Arthur Wellesley.... NO ONE.
Iustinus Cletus I live near were he lived as a child, you have Honorable blood in you sir, make him proud,He was one of the greatest American gens this country has had.
I thought it was blackadder! HAHA! LOL! #rowanatkinson
Really? No joke?
I usually gift the thirteen colonies (and any protectorate) all of my technologies. It really helps them defend themselves much more efficiently.
You know what's kind of funny? When I started watching, I was literally right in the middle of re-reading Sharpe's Eagle. I just sort of saw what you'd re-named after the South Essex, and thought: "I see what you did there."
I wish he'd named 1 of his ships Queen Ann's Revenge
Or the black pearl or Hms victory or Hms kiri or Hms shoot first ask questions later if you wanna know about kiri and victory watch someone called Unitlosttube and watch their civ 5 lets play

You could name some of your artillery after greek or roman gods, just imagine how cool ''Zeus' cannons'' sounds :D
