That Anders solo starting at like 4:08 is awesome. These guys are at their best with a crowd to feed off of, but there's nothing wrong with this performance. And while they're always great at giving everyone (or almost everyone) a chance to jam a bit in every song, this is one of those tunes where all five of the strings add a discernible and unique facet to the song in the non-improvisational parts.

What kind of mandolin is being used ? These guys are amazing !!

It's a Paul Newson F-5. I believe at least 10 years old. Nearly impossible to find one on sale, and will cost you $5-10K if you do manage to find one. Newson is kinda the Languedoc of mandolins.
